> 3 dayI mounted the spring housings on a trailer with round tubing rails. It was probably a little more difficult than on a trailer with flat top angle rails. It worked out just fine, looks good and works as advertised. I’m very happy with the results!

> 3 dayI recently bought a new trailer and boy is it heavy duty, the wife and I struggled just to raise the ramp and decided we needed some help. I watched many U Tube vids and decided on the Gorilla-Lift system, so glad I did. I ran into two small challenges during my install. 1. I had a 2x2 square tubing upright support to the top rail where the farthest back hole needed to be drilled. I was able to remove the plastic end cap, just drilled through the top tubing, cut the carriage bolt to about 1 and was able to fasten down that way. 2. The front hole was aligned with the fender, but I just drilled through the top tubing, through the fender and the supplied bolt was just barley long enough to reach all the way through to snug up the nut. Shipping was fast, assembly was easy and the results were amazing....simple one hand operation now. I did use all four springs on my trailer and it was just the right amount of tension. Any heavier of a ramp and I believe it would struggle. I highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayI did a RE-APPLICATION with this product, and it came out just Fine. Modified a enclosed car-hauler type trailer in to a landscape trailer with 45 sides, and a 5 ((HEAVY)) drop door/ramp capable of handling a BobCat/skid steer. The supplied cables being APP. 50 long would not Even begin to allow for the needed pic-points. Mounted @ 45 high and needing to pic, from the hinge @ at-least 47 needed App 5 1/2 of cable. So I went to my local rigging supply house and had two 12 sections of cable swedged with a Tight loop on one end, and open on the other. Purchased two 1 1/2 swivel eye pulleys, two small chain mending links and two thimbles. Cost complete, $55.00. Using the Back bolt location, bond the tight loop have the using the chain links, attach the pulley to the spring, (having removed the original cable) pull tight & temporally bond to required pic point, remove fitted assembly and have it professionally swedged at the determined location. Acceptable results for little money, not one handed feather-lite operation, BUT easily lifted with out straining. Photos of parts and application. Gflatt, Jacksonville Fla.

> 3 dayI am a CPA by profession so by no means a garage junkie. I have looked at these for awhile before deciding to give them a try and stop breaking my back on the tailgate of my tandem axle trailer. I also had a gentleman weld in two extra support beams on the trailer gate as I do drive have tractors on the trailer. These extra support beams are great except the trailer gate weighed about 150 pounds, I swear. Out of the box there are not to many parts. Step one, do not leave the springs and cable in the tubes while marking where to drill the holes. They do not tell you this and gave me a headache for nothing. Marking the tubes for drilling is easy, the holes arte kinda tough to drill as you are drilling into steel from your trailer. I started with a small bit then up a couple of sizes then the final 1/2 inch you need. Be careful with the 1/2 one, once through it turned the drill and almost broke my wrist so when close to be through, slow down. Directions are pretty straight forward. When doing the four little rollers look at the picture on the last page, the direction are confusing but the picture tells it all. Took me about 21/2 hours to install but think I could do the next one in about 45 minutes. My only question once completed??? Why did I wait so long to order!!! Buy it you will never regret it.

> 3 dayI installed one side and it worked great on my aluminum bifold lift gate. I decided to put the other side on and I needed to disconnect the inner spring and it works perfect and looks great. I would highly recommend this product.

Greater than one weekThe parts are top quality and the fit and finish are great! I found that I had to make some modifications to my trailer before installation that werent expected and that I only needed one lift. Installing two wasnt necessary but it wasnt covered in the instructions. I realize that they cant cover every situation but placement on the rail is critical and MUST be followed. Now that it is all installed and modified, it works like a charm! One finger moves the ramp up or down and it is literally effortless. Great product!
