> 3 dayThis gorilla lift is something I should have done a long time ago.. very easy installation with instructions that are very easy to follow. I used it for my liftgate on my utility trailer and its so much easy just by using one hand and then putting my foot on it and then vice versa , no more strain or hurting my back.. I would very much recommend..

> 3 dayLiked made trailer ramp easy to lift. Wish carriage bolts had a couple of options for placement because supports for trailer rail were in the way of current square holes. Bolts were too long for my trailer rail. No dislikes. GORILLA-LIFT was a simple solution for a heavy trailer ramp.

19-11-2024I like how it works, but it could use a few changes. Every trailer has supports in different spots, but the holes in the lift assist are always in the same spots. My last carriage bolt landed inside a V, L-angle upright under the railing. It was near impossible to get the bolt in the V and get the washer and nut on. I almost drilled another hole 3 inches forward, then cutting the bolt to fit inside square tube and use a magnet or stiff wire to set the bolt into the new hole. Luckily I didnt need to do that. My other alternative was to drill a hole through the top and install the bolt that way, and cover the hole with a rubber plug. I didnt want to weld it in case it didnt work. Looking at the photo I have 5.5 inches from the rail to the ramp and I wasnt sure it would work, I worried about the spring hitting the rollers, since it had to pull out 5.5 inches. It works great. When I clipped the hooks on the ramp it worked perfect. It stayed straight out just like the directions said. I used a 3/16 cobalt drill bit and a cheap 1/2 step drill from Harbor Freight and it went through the metal like butter. Im going to weld two handles on the ramp so I can use my toe to lift the ramp so I wont need to bend over. I would definitely by again.

> 3 dayIt’s overall a great device. It’s well constructed. It seem to go together pretty well but the instructions were not altogether clear. You will have to do drilling on your trailer to put these in. Do not install them far back so if you have a rail clip on the top you will have to remove it with an angle grinder before actually installing these items. If you do install them and would like to have additional links to pull from you can use the wheels that attach to the trailer frame to guide the cable down and not cause abrasion.

> 3 dayFairly easy to install. Springs were much stronger than I thought they would be. I was worried our ramp would be a little to heavy, but it was plenty. We even had to tone it down to just 1 spring, because it was actually too much tension.

> 3 dayThe parts are top quality and the fit and finish are great! I found that I had to make some modifications to my trailer before installation that werent expected and that I only needed one lift. Installing two wasnt necessary but it wasnt covered in the instructions. I realize that they cant cover every situation but placement on the rail is critical and MUST be followed. Now that it is all installed and modified, it works like a charm! One finger moves the ramp up or down and it is literally effortless. Great product!

> 3 daySaw this on another trailer and thought it would be a great idea for my trailer. I had some work done on the lift gate on my dual axle trailer that I tote a Kubota buggy on for work. My lift gate was getting bowed from the buggy so I had it reinforced which made it barely lift-able with one person. My back was being strained and I am in pretty good shape. I read the reviews on google and Amazon before purchasing and read some mixed reviews about how it worked fairly well but that it was difficult to install. Watched a You-Tube video about installation (which for me is easier than reading instructions), purchased and set out to install it. First of all, installation is time consuming...a few hours if you know how to use the necessary tools and are fairly handy with them. My trailer has a little thicker metal so used smaller to bigger titanium bits to get it done easier. The installation of the bolts after drilling is a little tricky but do-able. Did one side for now, which has made a huge difference and it works well so will probably do the other soon.
