> 3 dayI got this for my dad for Father’s Day because he runs a lawn care business. He’s getting older and was having issues with the gait throwing his back out constantly. This thing seriously changed his life. He can not rave higher about it. I’d recommend to anyone who asked!

> 3 dayAny trailer 12 feet or more, I highly recommend these. The trailer ramps, especially on larger trailers, are quite heavy to lift up and even let down. With this product, it makes putting the ramp down easily with one hand....same for lifting the ramp up as well. They are sturdy and well-made, fairly easy to install too.

> 3 dayMy trailer gate was very heavy and hard for me to lift. I decided to get the gorilla lift to save my back. It was easy to install and works great! No more strained back!

> 3 dayInstallation sucked. Sorry, thats my opinion. I installed this on a square-tube trailer, NOT the flat, angle-iron trailers it was designed for...but never was mentioned in the product description. It was no fun installing it on a square-tube trailer, and I had to purchase longer bolts in order to make it work. I will say that it works, I only needed one side for my small 6X8 trailer, so I have a spare or might sell to someone else with a small trailer. Take note though, you will need a 3/4 drill bit, and even if you buy (or have) a high-quality bit made for steel, you will toast it. Overall this is a great product, I just take issue with the installation on my type of trailer, but once installed, it works as advertised and is a godsend! My gate was so heavy and now I can lift it with one hand. I COULD have used the other side for EFFORTLESS operation, but it was bad enough installing the one side and since it worked well enough, I just went with it. So, three stars for installation, but definitely five stars for actual product quality and functionality.

> 3 dayI did a RE-APPLICATION with this product, and it came out just Fine. Modified a enclosed car-hauler type trailer in to a landscape trailer with 45 sides, and a 5 ((HEAVY)) drop door/ramp capable of handling a BobCat/skid steer. The supplied cables being APP. 50 long would not Even begin to allow for the needed pic-points. Mounted @ 45 high and needing to pic, from the hinge @ at-least 47 needed App 5 1/2 of cable. So I went to my local rigging supply house and had two 12 sections of cable swedged with a Tight loop on one end, and open on the other. Purchased two 1 1/2 swivel eye pulleys, two small chain mending links and two thimbles. Cost complete, $55.00. Using the Back bolt location, bond the tight loop have the using the chain links, attach the pulley to the spring, (having removed the original cable) pull tight & temporally bond to required pic point, remove fitted assembly and have it professionally swedged at the determined location. Acceptable results for little money, not one handed feather-lite operation, BUT easily lifted with out straining. Photos of parts and application. Gflatt, Jacksonville Fla.

> 3 dayI have a 5 x 10 single axle Trailer with a 40 tall tailgate with an expanded metal surface. The Gorilla Lift installed in a single afternoon (approx 2-hours). Each side comes as a double spring (small inner/ large outer) and cable assembly with roller guides at the cable end. Assembly of the 2 rail halfs for each side is easy; it only requires drilling 2 holes in the trailer per rectangular tube (thats 4 holes per side). The instructions could have been much clearer about how to measure the trailer tailgate for drilling the cable attachment point by using a diagram, but it didnt have one. The instructions do suggest testing the tailgate attachment point using the expanded metal tailgate deck as holes. Instead, I used a C-clamp attached to the side of my tailgate with the cable slotted thru the C-clamp and kept adjusting the clamp up or down until i got the tailgate to float neutral when opening or closing. After finding the right point, i drilled the tailgate side-rail and attached the cable stay-bolt at that point. All-in-all, for my size trailer and tailgate this product has performed as I wanted it to. My 65 Y.O. mother with Parkisons disease is easily able to lift (open and close) the tailgate now that it has the lift-assist attached. I am very pleased with the product.

> 3 dayAs a woman using a trailer to haul a lawn mower around, I was struggling to lift the heavy endgate. My husband found these online and ordered them and I am absolutely loving them. They take all the work out of raising and lowering the endgate on the trailer I use. I am very happy with this product.

Greater than one weekI bought these kind of as an afterthought when I was getting a ramp installed on my trailer. This is an extremely stout trailer ramp, as you can see in the picture, probably weighing 300 lbs. These lifts have no issue holding it up and slowing dropping it. I actually have to push it down the last 4 but it stays when its on the ground. I drive my tractor up on the trailer, lift it with my toe and one hand lift the rest of the way. These are amazing and honestly, when I bought them, I didnt have really high expectations. Highly recommended, hopefully the longevity is as good as the initial performance!
