> 3 daySaw this on another trailer and thought it would be a great idea for my trailer. I had some work done on the lift gate on my dual axle trailer that I tote a Kubota buggy on for work. My lift gate was getting bowed from the buggy so I had it reinforced which made it barely lift-able with one person. My back was being strained and I am in pretty good shape. I read the reviews on google and Amazon before purchasing and read some mixed reviews about how it worked fairly well but that it was difficult to install. Watched a You-Tube video about installation (which for me is easier than reading instructions), purchased and set out to install it. First of all, installation is time consuming...a few hours if you know how to use the necessary tools and are fairly handy with them. My trailer has a little thicker metal so used smaller to bigger titanium bits to get it done easier. The installation of the bolts after drilling is a little tricky but do-able. Did one side for now, which has made a huge difference and it works well so will probably do the other soon.

> 3 dayWorth every penny. After hours of yard work trailer gate gets heavy. With this lift I can easily flip up the gate with my foot. Should have added a long time ago. You will need a good Drill and Drill Bits. .500” holes take some work. 10 total holes.

> 3 dayThis was fairly easy to install with the right tools. Watch the YouTube video we found which had clear instructions (not a Gorilla lift company video). Only issue is that 2 bolts are in wheel well and one is in an rail support so we needed a 13mm deep socket. My trailer is 5x8 with a 4foot gate and only one is needed. Prior to this lift, I had to be careful of my back. Now I can almost lift this gate with what I call dishwasher foot lift. I can lift it with one hand, in stead of lifting and resting the gate on my hip and the bench pressing it the rest of the way. Now it is so easy, I have to make sure it doesnt get away from me and go too far forward which is not really an issue.

> 3 dayMy unit has two inch square tubing. No matter how I placed the spring housings on the tubing - at least two of the bolts were over the vertical tubing. Meaning I could not get bolts in those locations. One of those locations was right at the tailgate where the rollers are located. The other was at the rear of the unit were the internal spring is anchored. I bought two four foot pieces of two inch aluminum angle iron and made brackets that bolted to the housing at those points the drilled horizontal through the two tubing and used bolts to secure the aluminum bracket to the tubing. In the middle I had to place the aluminum brackets to keep the unit level and then bolted them vertically through the horizontal tubing. Thing is - I had to get new carriage bolts long enough to go through the brackets and the two inch tubing. I followed the directions and used the chart to determine that my four foot tailgate needed half inch holes drilled 20 inches from the top rail. Worked perfectly and was able to get the cable pulled out and the bolt inserted with no help. The tailgate goes to the ground and stays there and lifts easily off the ground. Keep in mind you may have to remove the bracket that holds the tailgate in locked position if the cable does not clear it when in the down position. Then relocate and replace that bracket where it wont damage the cable. The extra bolts and the aluminum for the brackets will up the cost of the unit by about $100 dollars. Would appreciate if anyone has a better idea for when the holes fall over a vertical square tube. But I am completely satisfied with this product.

> 3 dayI am getting older now and the ramp on my trailer is really getting heavy for me to lift off the ground and with these on I can lift it with one finger --- literally !! These were difficult to install on my trailer because my side rails are made out of pipe, but , if your trailer is made from angle iron it wont take you 45 minutes to install these. Great product
