> 3 dayI just got my Kandle to go with my Kindle 3. And for the most part, I think it is just great. - I love how perfectly it matches my graphite Kindle. How wonderful to have an accessory that looks like an accessory, not an afterthought. - I am pleased at how lightweight it is. It adds very little weight to the Kindle and that becomes important on those just one more page reading marathons - For me, the brighter the better. I personally have low vision issues, and to combine the very brightest setting on the Kandle with flexible font size on the Kindle means I can read with ease on all but my worst days. - I have tried other reading lights, although not ones marketed specifically for the Kindle and have been less than satisfied - they were too big, too heavy, too inflexible, just too bad. The Kandle seems just right, the right weight, the right color, the right size etc. - I was especially pleased to find replacement batteries and its own little screwdriver! keeping all this together in the little bag means I will not need to search the house over for an appropriate screwdriver to use! The only thing so far that I wish were a bit different is that when it is clipped onto my Kindle, and pushed down securely, it does obstruct the top line of text a bit, so I find myself gingerly clipping it on and gently sliding it up enough to see all the text on the screen without knocking the Kandle off completely. In glancing through some of the other users reviews, I do not think I am alone in this. This little light is going to make reading when traveling much easier no matter the lighting (or lack therefor) in hotel rooms, campgrounds and so forth.

> 3 dayI have a Nook Simple Touch with their Lautner cover and the Kandle by Ozeri II fits perfectly. I place the light on the Nook device or on the cover - either way there is ample light. I am 70 years old and require good light to read and this Kandle is great. It is small and you need to be somewhat dexterous to mount and use it properly. My husband with his big sausage fingers might find it a little difficult. So far I have only used the Kandle while reading in bed at night with all other lights out. It does not disturb my husband at all. I am looking forward to using it when we travel in our camper or when we are tent camping.

> 3 dayI tend to obsess about finding the perfect solution for things, and this happened also with my search for a light for my new kindle touch, that I absolutely love. I ended up trying 7 different lights, and will post this comparison as a review for all of them. Hopefully others can benefit from my experience... - Might Bright XtraFlex2: It is, indeed, mighty bright, but more in scope than in intensity. It casts light on a HUGE area, enough to disturb my partner in bed... On the kindle itself, it is only slightly brighter than other lights. Not enough to justify its size in my opinion. Which brings us to its other flaw - it is BIG. The clip is too large to clip straight onto the top of the kindle. I had to clip it diagonally. It seemed to work and be stable that way, but it is a big beast, and would not be convenient for travel, for me. Given that the illumination onto the kindle itself was only slightly brighter than other lights, I didnt think it was a good solution. - Verso clip-on: Good travel size, very very blue light, not very bright, and it actually POPPED OFF my kindle when I tried to adjust the head of the light to shine in a slightly different direction. And while its fairly small, it does not fold in any particular way, so its not very compact. - Verso Arc: Nice form factor, but I found the bright but somewhat uneven, and worst of all (which is why I returned it), if I held it in bed in a particular angle that I happen to like, the light reflected off the top of the screen in a really annoying way. Also, the light was VERY much on the blue end of the spectrum (cold). - Octovo: Also a compact light, but I found it very weak. - Belkin Clip-On: As *light*, this was the best light of all. It is the only one that was truly warm (more like daylight), rather than blue. I loved the *light*. BUT, it is NOT adapted for the kindle touch!!! The adapter they send is for the kindle *keyboard* (as off Dec 2011). It just keeps falling off the kindle touch. With tried it with my partners keyboard, and it fit perfectly. So watch out for that. Furthermore, it IS bulky. I could live with the bulk because I loved the light itself so much, but if it keeps falling off, that makes it useless. If they ever come out with a version for the touch, I might buy it just to have by the bed, and use another light for travel (see below). - Kandle (regular): Form factor wise, it is the nicest and most elegant. Fits on the Kindle like a glove, and even fits into my Belkin sleeve for the kindle. Yes, the light on the screen is a bit uneven (weaker at the bottom or on the further side, depending on whether you have it mounted on the side or the top), but not terribly so. BUT it has two major flaws. (1) When you close the lid, the light does not shut down automatically. And once its shut, you dont notice its on. Easy to go through a set of batteries per day in this way... And (2), the on/off button is too easily pressed. I pulled it out of my purse to find the light on, when I know I shut it off. So if youll have it anywhere where it might come in contact with other things, again, watch out for battery issues... - Kandle Flex: This is the one I ended up with. Again, like the other kandle, fits on the kindle like a glove. Its very compact, easy to adjust the direction of the light without disturbing the base (unlike the mighty bright or the verso clip-on), very compact, small form factor, and decent light. Because the direction of the light is adjustable, its easy to get relatively even light throughout. The only negative I have is that the light is not quite as warm as a the belkin (but I am not sure its doable with watch batteries), and is a touch weaker than Id like, again, I think because they use watch batteries. In exchange, you get a very nice, light, compact form factor. So, while not perfect, it is, in my opinion, the clear winner in this lot, and the one I ended up keeping.

> 3 dayThis light has a good amount of power. I am able to see just fine on the low level light, but if I find my eyes starting to strain I can bump it up to the high power. What I have found works best is to clip it onto the side of the Kindle and not the top. Although it doesnt weigh very much, it can throw the balance off a tad. This way, it also has no problem providing enough light to cover the entire screen. All in all, a good light.

Nighttime Reader
Greater than one weekJust got this nice little light, and it has solved my problem of waking my spouse at night. Improvement I note: the unit turns off when folding the light closed, so no longer possible to run the batteries down by closing with the light on, or pressing the on/off button when closed. Also, with the light mounted at the top, the light level is a bit dim by the time it gets to the bottom of the screen, but unlike one other review I read, it can be mounted on the side if youre careful; this results in a more even illumination across the screen on my Kindle Touch, and does not shine the light or its reflections into my wifes eyes. She loves it, and so do I. Great little product, worth the money. Five stars!

> 3 daythis is the best light i have bought for my kindle. i bought a rechargeable one when i order my kindle (a 40 dollar one) and that was this past christmas. and it already was not working any more. of course i was very disappointed and angry because it hasnt been a yr since i bought it and it was a rechargeable one and one of the more expensive. this time i order this light, i like it alot better, one it was cheaper, it has a button to make the light brighter if needed from the regular light which is pretty bright in itself. its a little big for the top of my kindle and a slight heavy, but i would buy it again if i had to, i just wish the batteries were rechargeable, but other than that it is a GREAT kindle light and can fit some books as well.

> 3 dayI needed a light for my Kindle because I share my room with a roommate who goes to sleep early. After doing some research on Amazon.com, I finally settled on the Kandle by Ozeri II. First of all, this light is small but powerful. The 3 LED lights provide the perfect amount of brightness for me to read my Kindle while not disturbing my roommate (even at the lower setting). It has a lightweight, compact design with a nice matte finish. The color also matches the graphite Kindle. The Kandle II comes with a protective pouch, 2 extra batteries, and a mini screwdriver needed to access the battery compartment. My only issue with the Kandle II is the placement of the power switch. Its located right at the hinge of the light, so if you open the light before you switch it on, it tends to close when you push the switch. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed when using the light for the first time. Pros: - lightweight - bright - nice design and quality Cons: - expensive for a book light - power switch at hinge

Greater than one weekI really cant add anymore to the positive reviews already left. I have 2 of these now, one I use on a MacBook (I dont have the Pro version with backlit keys), the other for my Kindle Keyboard. Lighting is sufficient, the only issues I have (and this is not a complaint, its just inherent in this type of lighting) is that at half-battery power the bottom of my Kindle screen could use a bit more light for my tastes. Ozeri emailed me and thanked me for the purchase and offered to send me 2 more batteries for the booklight. Ive had the lights for about a year now and occasionally the light does not automatically go off when the booklight is closed (the other minor issue). Overall happy with the light and its firm but padded grip.

> 3 dayWe love the Kandle by Ozeri II. I saw one being used for a Kindle on a plane in November and ordered one as a gift for my husbnad who was reading in bed holding a flashlight. He loves it and uses it all the time. Its light, very compact, and the batteries last a long time. Weve had other compact lights for night time reading but theyre heavier, inflexible and larger, and the batteries die quickly. So I just ordered one for my Kindle because were planning a big trip and I want to be able to read on the plane and in bed. Often hotel rooms have poor bedside lighting. Then I ordered an extra one for a gift for a family member. Anyone who uses a Kindle or an iPad, or anyone who reads in bed, should have one of these little lights. They are great!! Thank you Ozeri!

> 3 dayI was a little apprehensive on getting this light after reading other reviews. 2 things that were mentioned on other reviews, screw driver needed for battery change and the light could be accidently left on when closed. Well I suppose the manufacturer listened and rectified those issues as the one I received had a twist off battery lid (no screwdriver needed) and the light automatically goes off when closed and you cannot accidently turn the light on when closed! It was awesome for a short (4 days) hospital stay and also in bed at home (wife doesnt complain that the lamp is keeping her up.
