> 3 dayI purchased this from Amazon to use with my Kindle Touch as I love to read in bed. It works great. I love the velvety texture of covering and that it came with extra batteries. Oh, I can still close my kindle cover while using this light also. Peeves: I was somewhat annoyed by the fact that I had to use a tiny screwdriver, which was supplied, to change the batteries and also that if I forgot to turn off the light when it put the cover down, I awakened to a dead or dying battery. I was changing them probably more often during Christmas break as I was reading all night. Problem: I used it with no problem for 2 months and then it would only flash when pressing the button. Service: I emailed Ozeri and was promptly contacted within an hour and a half with resolution for my problem. I was mailed a replacement book-light which arrived very quickly. I have to say that Michael was very courteous and I had a quite pleasant experience with Ozeri. New and Improved: I love the new book-light. It looks exactly the same at first glance but has a few enhancements. I no longer have to unscrew the battery cover but can now twist it off to replace the batteries. Now, if I forget to turn off the power, the light automatically turns off when I push down the cover. Oh, joy, joy. No more wasted batteries. I would recommend this unobtrusive little light that brightens the night without overwhelming while reading.

> 3 dayI love this book light. Its small but powerful. It even fits in the outer pocket of my Kindle case by Belkin (tho, its for the 2nd generation Kindle not the latest, which I have so theres a little extra room.) I dont understand people who say its not bright enough. Ive not found that to be a problem at all. The one thing I dont like about this book light is the placement of the power switch. Its located in the exact place you need to place your thumb to squeeze open the clip. That means every time you put it on or take it off the Kindle, youre either turning it on or turning it off unintentionally. Thats kind of a pain but not a deal-killer. I do think the price is a bit steep as well, but that obviously didnt keep me from buying it.

> 3 dayI tend to toss things into my purse so a book light with a long neck was definitely out of the question. The kandle II folds into a sturdy little block and they also include a pouch to store it in. If I am going to travel with a book light, I feel this would stand up to the jostling in my purse pretty well. So far so good! I have the latest version of the plain kindle and the amazon-produced leather kindle cover without the light. The kandle II clips on to the kindle just fine whether it is in or out of the cover. The only improvement I would want is for the clip to be adjusted so that it doesnt slide down further down onto the kindle screen. However, it is a small complaint. As long as you are careful not to knock it around, the kandle should stay in place just fine and for the low price, I am willing to put up with this very minor inconvenience. I love that there are two brightness settings and I find the low setting to be fine most of the time. Another great feature is the fact that it will turn off automatically if you fold the light closed which is fantastic. Its the small details like this which really sold me on this booklight. I definitely feel the quality is worth the price and I would advise anyone to get one.

> 3 dayI tend to obsess about finding the perfect solution for things, and this happened also with my search for a light for my new kindle touch, that I absolutely love. I ended up trying 7 different lights, and will post this comparison as a review for all of them. Hopefully others can benefit from my experience... - Might Bright XtraFlex2: It is, indeed, mighty bright, but more in scope than in intensity. It casts light on a HUGE area, enough to disturb my partner in bed... On the kindle itself, it is only slightly brighter than other lights. Not enough to justify its size in my opinion. Which brings us to its other flaw - it is BIG. The clip is too large to clip straight onto the top of the kindle. I had to clip it diagonally. It seemed to work and be stable that way, but it is a big beast, and would not be convenient for travel, for me. Given that the illumination onto the kindle itself was only slightly brighter than other lights, I didnt think it was a good solution. - Verso clip-on: Good travel size, very very blue light, not very bright, and it actually POPPED OFF my kindle when I tried to adjust the head of the light to shine in a slightly different direction. And while its fairly small, it does not fold in any particular way, so its not very compact. - Verso Arc: Nice form factor, but I found the bright but somewhat uneven, and worst of all (which is why I returned it), if I held it in bed in a particular angle that I happen to like, the light reflected off the top of the screen in a really annoying way. Also, the light was VERY much on the blue end of the spectrum (cold). - Octovo: Also a compact light, but I found it very weak. - Belkin Clip-On: As *light*, this was the best light of all. It is the only one that was truly warm (more like daylight), rather than blue. I loved the *light*. BUT, it is NOT adapted for the kindle touch!!! The adapter they send is for the kindle *keyboard* (as off Dec 2011). It just keeps falling off the kindle touch. With tried it with my partners keyboard, and it fit perfectly. So watch out for that. Furthermore, it IS bulky. I could live with the bulk because I loved the light itself so much, but if it keeps falling off, that makes it useless. If they ever come out with a version for the touch, I might buy it just to have by the bed, and use another light for travel (see below). - Kandle (regular): Form factor wise, it is the nicest and most elegant. Fits on the Kindle like a glove, and even fits into my Belkin sleeve for the kindle. Yes, the light on the screen is a bit uneven (weaker at the bottom or on the further side, depending on whether you have it mounted on the side or the top), but not terribly so. BUT it has two major flaws. (1) When you close the lid, the light does not shut down automatically. And once its shut, you dont notice its on. Easy to go through a set of batteries per day in this way... And (2), the on/off button is too easily pressed. I pulled it out of my purse to find the light on, when I know I shut it off. So if youll have it anywhere where it might come in contact with other things, again, watch out for battery issues... - Kandle Flex: This is the one I ended up with. Again, like the other kandle, fits on the kindle like a glove. Its very compact, easy to adjust the direction of the light without disturbing the base (unlike the mighty bright or the verso clip-on), very compact, small form factor, and decent light. Because the direction of the light is adjustable, its easy to get relatively even light throughout. The only negative I have is that the light is not quite as warm as a the belkin (but I am not sure its doable with watch batteries), and is a touch weaker than Id like, again, I think because they use watch batteries. In exchange, you get a very nice, light, compact form factor. So, while not perfect, it is, in my opinion, the clear winner in this lot, and the one I ended up keeping.

> 3 dayAfter reading multiple reviews for Kindle lights, I chose the Kandle and anxiously awaited its arrival. The product I received acted like a strob light, never staying on, flashing, dimming, doing everything but work as anticipated. I contacted Ozeri who responded quickly with an apology and the promise to send a new one immediately. That one does work and if absolutely such a better light than my previous light. It brightened the entire screen with little or no glare. My only issue is I am not sure how to make it stay on my Kindle with the cover I have. It tends to pop off if on the top. So I just keep in attached to the inside pocket and clip it on when needed.

> 3 dayI looked around and tried several lights for my new ST Nook before finding the Kandle II. This was the best one I have tried for it. It compliments the small and light weight scale of the Nook and stays on great. The illumination does fade out a little towards the bottom of the screen but not enough to give it much points off. I rated all the attributes as 5 except for the brightness, which I gave a 4. As much as I like the Mighty Bright Ultraflex 2 light I have, and used with the Nook 3G, it is too awkward to use with the ST Nook. This Kandle II fits the bill. I recommend it!

> 3 dayI really like the design of this booklight. I had one of the bendy booklights before and it made the kindle harder to hold with one hand and I was constantly readjusting the position. This one provides more light and feels more stable. I would give it five stars except the batteries that came with the light didnt even last me an entire book. The light did come with replacement batteries which I have now used. Im worried that they will burn out when Im on vacation or something so Im going to order more. Im a little frusterated that Im already ordering batteries when Ive only had this item for a week and a half and havent even made it through an entire novel with it.

> 3 dayI just received my Graphite Kandle and I am thrilled. I had a leather cover so I didnt want to spend $60 for the all in one and I didnt want a light that was cumbersome or awkward. I swear I pretty much read every Kindle light review then I read the review for the Kandle. I thought the reviews were pretty good so I ordered it. It arrived today, one day delivery thanks to Prime. This Kandle is everything I wanted--small, compact, good light to the bottom of the page, adjustable and two light settings. The piece itself has a nice feel to it, I dont know if it is plastic or rubber but it feels wonderful when you hold it. It even came with a small cloth black case and a battery. I tested the light power in a dark closet and was amazed at the amount of light. There are 3 small recessed lights and two light settings---the lower setting will be great for me because the higher setting is really bright. The only thing is I wish the clip fitted a little snugger to the body of the Kindle, I worry over time the clip might become loose and not stay in place, and this is a small worry compared to the overall quality of the light. You will not go wrong buying this Kandle.

Greater than one weekAs others have noted, the color and texture of this device are nearly perfect matches for the Kindle 3. Compared to other devices Ive examined, though not used, the weight, light distribution and overall functionality of this unit cannot be beat. My only knock on this unit pertains to the clip. I use my Kindle without a case and while the clip is perfectly functional and secures effectively to the top of the Kindle itself (one of the initial selling points of this lamp), I wish the back of the clip was a bit longer or the spring a bit more resistant just so I wouldnt feel that the light may slip off the top. I anticipate battery life to be excellent due to the use of LEDs which emit a comfortable bluish glow. Two sets of button type batteries are included - one installed and one to keep with an included storage pouch and small screwdriver for when that day eventually comes.

> 3 dayI personally own both the original Kandle (in black), and now the graphite Kandle 2! I have used them for my Kindle 3. First of all, the only issue I had with the original Kandle was the brightness. It just wasnt QUITE bright enough at the bottom for my tastes. I saw the Kandle 2, and I figured it would be perfect. I was not let down. Differences: 1. Original Kandle has only one setting. Its on or its off. Kandle 2 has 2 brightness options. 2. Original Kandle has only two lights on each end of the unit. The Kandle 2 has three (one added in the middle). I have tested these side by side, and the actual difference in brightness is around 30% more for the first setting, 50% more for second setting. This equates to (for me) an absolute PERFECT illumination for the entire Kindle page. Bravo, Ozeri. 3. Instead of a switch type power button that you must almost use your fingernail to push over to one side, the new Kandle has a simple large button on the top. Push it once for low setting, again for high setting, again for off. 4. The feel of the plastic is almost velvety. The original Kandle is simply hard black shiny plastic. the graphite color is more matte. I noticed the softness immediately when I took it out of the package. Maybe Im just a nerd, but it makes me love it even more. Also, the color is almost identical to the graphite color of the Kindle. Thats a plus for fashionistas like myself (har har). And there you have it! I absolutely love mine and will likely be purchasing another for my boyfriend and his original Kindle 1! You will not regret this purchase =)
