> 3 dayThis is the perfect companion for the graphite Kindle! They look like they were made for each other. No more of the goose neck light falling off or having to reposition every time I move.It does get a little darker towards the bottom of the page but not enough to affect my reading. I am not having trouble turning it on when I close it. Perhaps I close it differently than others. I was a little apprehensive about spending so much on a light. I have had a Kindle for a few years and just fought with other types of lights. I bought the Kindle 3 and found all the lights I already had way too big for it so I caved. I am so happy I did...should have done it a long time ago. Very high quality and well worth the money.

> 3 dayI bought this for the Kindle DX I bought due to my fear that Amazon will never produce a Paperwhite version of it. This light is nice in that it is small and compact. I have a Mighty Bright light, but it takes up more room in my briefcase due to its flexible stalk for the light. However, the Kandle is not quite bright enough for the Kindle DX. Its adequate, though, so I am sticking with it because it is compact.

> 3 dayI havent used the light enough to know how the battery life is but so far I am happy with this purchase. This lights the whole screen evenly. As others have mentioned, the clip seems too big for the Kindle 3 so you need to move it up and just use the edge of the clip so it doesnt cover the screen. If the design was changed to rest on the top like the Octovo Solis, it would lighten the weight and BE PERFECT! The light comes with a nice storage case and seems to be very well made - other than the clip design which is OK but could be better.

> 3 dayNice book light. It puts out plenty of light for reading, I think both the semi-bright and full bright work well in poorly lit reading areas. The only complaint I have is that the reading light is a little loose on my Kindle. While adjusting the light if its not held firmly, the whole thing kind of moves around but once youve got everything the way you want it, it stays put.

> 3 dayBecause of all the issues I have read about and heard about with the lighted Kindle covers I refused to buy one. However most of my reading is done at night so I needed a light. I bought several different lights in the three weeks I have owned my Kindle and none of them worked the way I wanted. They didnt light the whole page, they had a horrible glare, they got in the way of my reading, they burned out quickly and so on. The Kandle on the other hand is PERFECT!!!! I can angle the light, it clips on without being in the way, there is no horrible glare, and best of all the light stays on the Kindle and not all over the room so I can read in bed and not disturb my husband. It also works great on regular books as my husband was using it the other day while reading. He also found that it is the perfect light to use in dark places with instruction manuals. I love the Kandle as it fits perfectly inside my neoprene cases zipper pocket when I do not need it. Plus the fact that for the price it also comes with batteries, an extra set of batteries and a screw driver for the battery compartment. Plus to order replacement batteries is only $5 for 25 batteries...that is a steal compared to the other lights I have purchased. I have used this light for a total of 49.5 hours so far and it is still just as bright as the day it arrived. Another benefit is that there are two light settings..bright and brighter so I can adjust it to fit my needs and neither one produces a glare. This light makes my Kindle experience even better!

> 3 dayThis product lets me use my Kindle Touch in bed without waking up my wife by turning on a lamp. For that reason alone, I can give it five stars and say that its easily worth the $20 I spent. Functionality: It does cast a lot of light to the sides but the low setting is just enough light to adequately light the page. There is a bit of a fade toward the bottom of the page, but when the batteries are well-charged, the bottom of the page is still quite readable. Longevity: Battery life is pretty good; I had the Kandle II in fairly constant use for about two months before I had to replace the batteries, and as a bonus, they do include a second set with the product. It uses two CR2032 watch batteries, which are available as of this writing on Amazon for about a dollar each. If I could improve one thing about the Kandle, it would be to include a low battery light to indicate when to replace the batteries. As the batteries start to die, the light fades slowly and eventually gets too dim to use. Aesthetics: It looks like part of the Kindle. Im not super concerned personally with style, but at least with the Kindle Touch it fits right in with the product. Its also light enough that I generally just keep it on the Kindle 24/7, even if I dont need the light at the time. Overall: A great little product that gives you the ability to read in the dark without having to shell out for the Paperwhite. Recommended.

> 3 dayIve had this for a couple of weeks and could not be happier with it. The light works great, and if anything is too bright on the highest setting for me. The coverage is uniform across the width of my Kindle and does not fall off very much at the bottom of the screen. The quality of the construction and even the feel of the plastic is top notch. I especially appreciate the supplied carry bag. If I could make a couple of changes I would do the following: 1. Try to lower the weight, as it does make the my Kindle a little top heavy. 2. Have a better method to open the battery cover than depending on the user to keep up with the supplied screwdriver. 3. Have one setting for a little dimmer output, maybe only light the two outer LEDs and not all three. Overall, this light is much better than I expected and I would highly recommend it if you are going back and forth between it and the other light options out there.

Greater than one weekI am using a Nook Touch, not a kindle, so I was a little concerned that it wouldnt work as well (grip the case or get in the way) on a different device. I was very pleasantly suprised. The illumination is sufficiently adjustable, both in terms of the intensity and the angle, to provide clear and bright illumination across the screen. The width of the light insures that it provides even illumination across the screen as well. Cant comment yet on the battery life but I dont read under very dim conditions too often so I am expecting quite a while. The only down side to this has been the lack of a rechargeable battery. Nice job.

> 3 dayI personally own both the original Kandle (in black), and now the graphite Kandle 2! I have used them for my Kindle 3. First of all, the only issue I had with the original Kandle was the brightness. It just wasnt QUITE bright enough at the bottom for my tastes. I saw the Kandle 2, and I figured it would be perfect. I was not let down. Differences: 1. Original Kandle has only one setting. Its on or its off. Kandle 2 has 2 brightness options. 2. Original Kandle has only two lights on each end of the unit. The Kandle 2 has three (one added in the middle). I have tested these side by side, and the actual difference in brightness is around 30% more for the first setting, 50% more for second setting. This equates to (for me) an absolute PERFECT illumination for the entire Kindle page. Bravo, Ozeri. 3. Instead of a switch type power button that you must almost use your fingernail to push over to one side, the new Kandle has a simple large button on the top. Push it once for low setting, again for high setting, again for off. 4. The feel of the plastic is almost velvety. The original Kandle is simply hard black shiny plastic. the graphite color is more matte. I noticed the softness immediately when I took it out of the package. Maybe Im just a nerd, but it makes me love it even more. Also, the color is almost identical to the graphite color of the Kindle. Thats a plus for fashionistas like myself (har har). And there you have it! I absolutely love mine and will likely be purchasing another for my boyfriend and his original Kindle 1! You will not regret this purchase =)

12-06-2025Watched the product review about the light and gave it a try. Glad I did! It is everything that the reviewer said it would be. Havent used the hi setting on the light since there is no need. The first setting is plenty bright enough and it covers the whole reading area of my kindle keyboard. I have tried so many other goose-neck clip on lights before for the kindle and they have always had a shadow and limited spray of light. Plus the clip on has always been rather bulky with the cover on. When the Kandle is clipped on there is no bulkiness protruding out by the cover being attached. The handy travel pouch is a cool feature as well. Small and compact enough to stash in my purse. A valuable tool to have when I wait in the car, reading at night, during my boys boy scout meetings.
