> 3 dayI am using a Nook Touch, not a kindle, so I was a little concerned that it wouldnt work as well (grip the case or get in the way) on a different device. I was very pleasantly suprised. The illumination is sufficiently adjustable, both in terms of the intensity and the angle, to provide clear and bright illumination across the screen. The width of the light insures that it provides even illumination across the screen as well. Cant comment yet on the battery life but I dont read under very dim conditions too often so I am expecting quite a while. The only down side to this has been the lack of a rechargeable battery. Nice job.

> 3 dayI found that this product has several annoying design defects which could have been easily avoided. Its impossible to adjust the light so that it illuminates the page evenly. Consequently, when attached to the top of the Kindle it is difficult to read the bottom of the page. If you try to adjust the clip to better illuminate the bottom of the page, the clip will cover the print at the top of the page. A slightly longer neck would ameliorate this problem. The placement of the push button on/off switch is also a problem. Its all too easy to inadvertently turn the unit on while its in the closed position. When it is closed, its difficult to notice that the unit is turned on. This can be particularly problematic if you use it while traveling and stick it in your bag with your computer/phone accessories. I went through one set of batteries the first week because of this. A slightly recessed sliding switch would avoid this problem or better yet, have the unit turn on when you open it and turn off when you close it. It should also be noted that replacing the batteries requires its own screwdriver, so if you dont make a point of taking it with you when you travel, you may be out of luck.

> 3 dayAfter having used other book lights, including the kindle book cover with built in light and being unhappy with the bulky lights and finicky connections, I began searching for a lightweight convenient light to use for Kindle reading. I read the reviews on various lights, and hesitantly ordered the Krandle II. The light arrived from Amazon the next day, and I instantly loved it. It is small, lightweight and has two setting for bright and brighter. The battery compartment used to require a small screwdriver and now has a twist off lid for convenience. That improvement answered some of the previous negative feedback. Batteries are small, not adding weight to the product, and relatively inexpensive. Since I had eye surgery earlier this year, I find I need lots of light for reading, and this little light has answered my needs. I instantly ordered a second Krandle to give away as a gift. I highly recommend this little light as being small compact and bright!

> 3 dayThis has to be the best light for Kindles on the market . It has a great feel to it as well as 2 light levels which makes it great for reading in bed . It comes with Lithium batteries pre installed and ready to go . It makes a world of difference on Kindle Key board . My son saw it the day after i got it and was up set I did not buy him one with mine . So I plan on buying another one very soon . It is a well made kindle light and has a nice smooth rubber like feeling to it . This is much better then the kindle lights with the flexible necks that are big and bulky . Buy one and you will be very happy......

Greater than one weekThe Kandle II works wonderfully with my Kindle touch and is just what I was looking for. Please note that reviews stating that the light remains on when the unit is closed are NOT accurate for the Kandle II. Perhaps that is true with the Kandle, however the Kandle II very definitely shuts off when it is closed. In fact, the next time it is opened, the on/off switch must be re-activated for the light to come on. I love the fact that I can clip this light to any edge of my Kindle. This is particularly useful when I read in bed on my side. I would recommend this product to anyone.

> 3 dayOzeri sends you an email, before the Kandle arrives, asking you not to post a review, if you are not satisfied, without talking to them first. Having tried to use the light, I can well understand that theyd be a bit worried about uncensored reviews. I was replacing a Mighty Bright, which, when used without a Kindle cover of some sort, has an irritating habit of simply slipping off the Kindle. No such problem with the Kandle. Although you cant clip it down far enough to feel it is really stable, without obscuring the Kindle screen, a friction pad does in fact prevent it from sliding off. But that wont be enough to prevent you from being only too happy to remove it yourself. The arm with the lighting is not long enough, nor are there any available angles, nor are the bulbs bright enough, to sufficiently illuminate the entire Kindle screen. The top third will be acceptably lit, the next third, barely well enough, and the bottom third will have you straining. And you will be unable to see the keyboard - did they simply forget you might want to see the whole screen, or type for searches or notes? And brightness? Not in this lamp. Aside from not being adjustable to an angle to cover the whole Kindle, this lamp is perhaps one-third as bright as the Mighty Bright (yes, on high). All in all, this lamp is the first good argument Ive seen so far for the Kindle having its own back-lighting, like an iPad or Nook (just a joke - of course that wouldnt work for e-ink). With this lamp, you WILL be able to read your Kindle in bright sunlight! Youd be better off, I suspect, simply igniting your $25 and reading by the glow.

Greater than one weekThis little Kandle gives off great light and the battery lasts for quite a while. My only complaints are about the design. It is very easy to accidentally turn the light on when moving it around. The on button is in the same place you put your fingers to squeeze open the clip. In addition, it is difficult to access the compartment to change the batteries. Otherwise, I would have given the Kandle 5 stars.

> 3 dayI tend to obsess about finding the perfect solution for things, and this happened also with my search for a light for my new kindle touch, that I absolutely love. I ended up trying 7 different lights, and will post this comparison as a review for all of them. Hopefully others can benefit from my experience... - Might Bright XtraFlex2: It is, indeed, mighty bright, but more in scope than in intensity. It casts light on a HUGE area, enough to disturb my partner in bed... On the kindle itself, it is only slightly brighter than other lights. Not enough to justify its size in my opinion. Which brings us to its other flaw - it is BIG. The clip is too large to clip straight onto the top of the kindle. I had to clip it diagonally. It seemed to work and be stable that way, but it is a big beast, and would not be convenient for travel, for me. Given that the illumination onto the kindle itself was only slightly brighter than other lights, I didnt think it was a good solution. - Verso clip-on: Good travel size, very very blue light, not very bright, and it actually POPPED OFF my kindle when I tried to adjust the head of the light to shine in a slightly different direction. And while its fairly small, it does not fold in any particular way, so its not very compact. - Verso Arc: Nice form factor, but I found the bright but somewhat uneven, and worst of all (which is why I returned it), if I held it in bed in a particular angle that I happen to like, the light reflected off the top of the screen in a really annoying way. Also, the light was VERY much on the blue end of the spectrum (cold). - Octovo: Also a compact light, but I found it very weak. - Belkin Clip-On: As *light*, this was the best light of all. It is the only one that was truly warm (more like daylight), rather than blue. I loved the *light*. BUT, it is NOT adapted for the kindle touch!!! The adapter they send is for the kindle *keyboard* (as off Dec 2011). It just keeps falling off the kindle touch. With tried it with my partners keyboard, and it fit perfectly. So watch out for that. Furthermore, it IS bulky. I could live with the bulk because I loved the light itself so much, but if it keeps falling off, that makes it useless. If they ever come out with a version for the touch, I might buy it just to have by the bed, and use another light for travel (see below). - Kandle (regular): Form factor wise, it is the nicest and most elegant. Fits on the Kindle like a glove, and even fits into my Belkin sleeve for the kindle. Yes, the light on the screen is a bit uneven (weaker at the bottom or on the further side, depending on whether you have it mounted on the side or the top), but not terribly so. BUT it has two major flaws. (1) When you close the lid, the light does not shut down automatically. And once its shut, you dont notice its on. Easy to go through a set of batteries per day in this way... And (2), the on/off button is too easily pressed. I pulled it out of my purse to find the light on, when I know I shut it off. So if youll have it anywhere where it might come in contact with other things, again, watch out for battery issues... - Kandle Flex: This is the one I ended up with. Again, like the other kandle, fits on the kindle like a glove. Its very compact, easy to adjust the direction of the light without disturbing the base (unlike the mighty bright or the verso clip-on), very compact, small form factor, and decent light. Because the direction of the light is adjustable, its easy to get relatively even light throughout. The only negative I have is that the light is not quite as warm as a the belkin (but I am not sure its doable with watch batteries), and is a touch weaker than Id like, again, I think because they use watch batteries. In exchange, you get a very nice, light, compact form factor. So, while not perfect, it is, in my opinion, the clear winner in this lot, and the one I ended up keeping.

> 3 dayI love this book light. Its small but powerful. It even fits in the outer pocket of my Kindle case by Belkin (tho, its for the 2nd generation Kindle not the latest, which I have so theres a little extra room.) I dont understand people who say its not bright enough. Ive not found that to be a problem at all. The one thing I dont like about this book light is the placement of the power switch. Its located in the exact place you need to place your thumb to squeeze open the clip. That means every time you put it on or take it off the Kindle, youre either turning it on or turning it off unintentionally. Thats kind of a pain but not a deal-killer. I do think the price is a bit steep as well, but that obviously didnt keep me from buying it.

> 3 dayEven though I read all about it, I expected something bigger. Maybe because they said it would light the whole page of the kindle, not just part of it. I read a lot of reviews, about a lot of lights and chose very carefully. And it was worth it! First of all, the light came in a neat little box. When you open the box, immediately you feel like a valued customer. Everything in the box is just so...luxurious. I couldnt find a better word. You get a little bag to put the lights in. And you get 2 (TWO) sets of batteries, so you dont have to worry about that for a while. When I first took the light in my hand, it felt smooth, and light, but at the same time, sturdy. As I had expected a larger thing, I was really suprised to see how small it was. Then I clipped it to my kindle. You can adjust the light to make it perfect angle. You have two options for brightness, which is great, because in dim light the less bright setting is more than enough. And it DOES light the whole page. If I really wanted to find something not even wrong but some need of getting used to, is that the on-off button is right where you would grab the light when you want to clip it on. But it doesnt turn on that easy. So, its perfect. I can even use it with my good old paperbacks. and one more thing, when you close the light, it is just a round something, nothing is sticking out, so its good for travel, you wont break it. Great purchase!
