> 3 dayOriginally, I wasnt too blown away by this light--I wish it were a little less bulky as I do find it a little tiring to hold up on the Kindle--but its now over two years and still working, which makes it the longest lasting book light I have ever had. All this despite using it regularly, pretty much keeping it permanently clipped to my Kindle, unless a toddler has pulled it off and dropped it somewhere. This thing is sturdy! It is thin enough that I can zip my Kindle in its case with the light still attached. The biggest complaint I had--that it made my Kindle top-heavy to hold--was fixed when Amazon updated the Touchs software to include landscape mode. Now, the light is on the side when I hold it, making it easier. The final downside is that the small batteries are more pricey--Ive gone through several sets of batteries and keep an extra set in my Kindle case as, when they finally die, they die quickly. I am really impressed.

> 3 dayThis little light is amazing! I just received mine yesterday and it really works great!! Its small I have to admit, but its powerful. The feel of it is so smooth and soft (really soft to the touch). Its padded inside the clip that clips to your Kindle so there is no fear of it scratching. You have 2 lighting options, low and high, and those little LED lights are BRIGHT. It lights up my page extremely well which I was very happy about. You can adjust the neck of it and the actual light as well. It comes with a really nice black pouch, batteries already in place plus an extra set. This is an awesome light for reading in low light areas, and my vision isnt the best which helps me a lot!! Kandle II and Amazon, you are always thinking one step ahead.

> 3 dayI too was initially disappointed in this light as after about 5 minutes the light would fade and I had to work on getting additional lighting in order to see my book. I decided to replace the batteries that came with the light and now it works great. No fading in over a week and I can use it alone in the dark now and read just fine - the whole page and not disturb my husbands sleeping! Would rather not have a push button to turn it on and off as it can accidently be turned on in my purse, etc. I purchased this with the addl 25 batteries for $3.95 another great buy as I use these batteries in alot of my electronics.

> 3 dayI personally own both the original Kandle (in black), and now the graphite Kandle 2! I have used them for my Kindle 3. First of all, the only issue I had with the original Kandle was the brightness. It just wasnt QUITE bright enough at the bottom for my tastes. I saw the Kandle 2, and I figured it would be perfect. I was not let down. Differences: 1. Original Kandle has only one setting. Its on or its off. Kandle 2 has 2 brightness options. 2. Original Kandle has only two lights on each end of the unit. The Kandle 2 has three (one added in the middle). I have tested these side by side, and the actual difference in brightness is around 30% more for the first setting, 50% more for second setting. This equates to (for me) an absolute PERFECT illumination for the entire Kindle page. Bravo, Ozeri. 3. Instead of a switch type power button that you must almost use your fingernail to push over to one side, the new Kandle has a simple large button on the top. Push it once for low setting, again for high setting, again for off. 4. The feel of the plastic is almost velvety. The original Kandle is simply hard black shiny plastic. the graphite color is more matte. I noticed the softness immediately when I took it out of the package. Maybe Im just a nerd, but it makes me love it even more. Also, the color is almost identical to the graphite color of the Kindle. Thats a plus for fashionistas like myself (har har). And there you have it! I absolutely love mine and will likely be purchasing another for my boyfriend and his original Kindle 1! You will not regret this purchase =)

> 3 dayI was trying to use a regular book light for my Kindle 3, and it kept popping off. The price point on this Kandle is a bit high, but now that I have it, I think its worth it. It fits perfectly on my Kindle 3 and matches the graphite color really nicely. Other reviewers have mentioned the feel of this Kandle and I have to echo my approval -- its got a soft, matte finish -- and this makes it a lot better than if it were shiny plastic. BUT on to functionality: the lighting is great! I use it on the first level of brightness almost all the time, but for those who want/need more, it has a second higher level of brightness, also. Major plus for having its own case, screwdriver, and additional replacement battery. Very pleased! Update: OK, so the battery life kind of sucks. The good news is you can get a bunch of replacement batteries cheaply on eBay. The bad news is, Ive accidentally turned on the light a few times and have even drained all new batteries without even knowing it (or using it once!). Its too bad the Kandle doesnt come packed in a hard carrying case, because its too easy to trigger the switch and turn it on while its in your bag. [Its also hard to tell that youve turned it on because you cant really see the light on while the lid is down, so its not like its shining brightly in your bag if its on.] My friend got the SimpleLight for Kindle (

> 3 dayAfter trying a competitive product three, yes, three times I moved to the Kandle product and am a big fan. The product is sturdy and easy to use, plus I like that it has two settings - bright and brighter. An additional perk, it is comes with two sets of batteries - nice and considerate. On the side, I have a four year old and it is nice to have a light that is durable.

Greater than one weekI am using a Nook Touch, not a kindle, so I was a little concerned that it wouldnt work as well (grip the case or get in the way) on a different device. I was very pleasantly suprised. The illumination is sufficiently adjustable, both in terms of the intensity and the angle, to provide clear and bright illumination across the screen. The width of the light insures that it provides even illumination across the screen as well. Cant comment yet on the battery life but I dont read under very dim conditions too often so I am expecting quite a while. The only down side to this has been the lack of a rechargeable battery. Nice job.

> 3 dayI have a Nook Simple Touch with their Lautner cover and the Kandle by Ozeri II fits perfectly. I place the light on the Nook device or on the cover - either way there is ample light. I am 70 years old and require good light to read and this Kandle is great. It is small and you need to be somewhat dexterous to mount and use it properly. My husband with his big sausage fingers might find it a little difficult. So far I have only used the Kandle while reading in bed at night with all other lights out. It does not disturb my husband at all. I am looking forward to using it when we travel in our camper or when we are tent camping.

> 3 dayI have one of the older Kindle models that I think is being phased out (or maybe already has been shown the door). Its a Kindle 3rd Generation. Originally Id purchased one of the Kindle Lighted Covers which had an extendable LED light built into the cover. No batteries were required - it was powered by my Kindle. I loved the lighted cover. However, luck was not on my side. One day the Kindle took a hard fall and afterwards the light refused to work. I immediately went to Amazon to purchase a new lighted cover when I discovered that they were no longer being made. So, with tears in my eyes, I realized that I had to find a replacement. I went back and forth between the Kandle and the Kindle Paperwhite with its internally lit screen. I decided to take a chance with the Kandle. The Kandle does a good job of illuminating my Kindle when I read at nighttime which is when I do most of my reading. The one huge drawback to this device is the fact that the CR2032 batteries can be quite expensive even when purchased in bulk. The Kandle uses 2 batteries. Unfortunately, because of my nighttime reading habit I have found that I must change out the batteries about once every 2 weeks otherwise the light gets too dim to read by. Due to the excessive price of the batteries I think that purchasing a new Kindle Paperwhite would have been the more economical choice for me. If you dont read in the dark very often then this still could be a good choice for you. As I said before, the Kandle does do its job. Just be aware that the cost of replacement batteries will add up.

> 3 dayi bought this because i wanted to read my kindle in bed after my wife had gone to sleep. i chose the kandle because the reviews were generally positive and it seemed like a better engineered product than some of the other cheaper lights. pros: -definitely bright enough -attachment to the kindle device is secure and well designed cons: -i found the lowest brightness level too bright. on the lower brightness level, the extra light thrown off by the kandle is enough to bother my sleeping wife. -(major frustration) the circular battery door/cover must be unscrewed to access the battery. the door and the base have triangular marks that line up and there is a label that says Open. the crazy thing is that when the marks are lined up, the door is actually closed. to get the door off, you have to make sure that the open marks are *not* aligned. it was really frustrating getting the little cover off and i damaged the plastic on the back. all in all, i think i would have rather put the money spent on this thing towards a new paperwhite.
