> 3 dayWe love the Kandle by Ozeri II. I saw one being used for a Kindle on a plane in November and ordered one as a gift for my husbnad who was reading in bed holding a flashlight. He loves it and uses it all the time. Its light, very compact, and the batteries last a long time. Weve had other compact lights for night time reading but theyre heavier, inflexible and larger, and the batteries die quickly. So I just ordered one for my Kindle because were planning a big trip and I want to be able to read on the plane and in bed. Often hotel rooms have poor bedside lighting. Then I ordered an extra one for a gift for a family member. Anyone who uses a Kindle or an iPad, or anyone who reads in bed, should have one of these little lights. They are great!! Thank you Ozeri!

> 3 dayI have a lot of hard cover books so I tried the kandle II on a couple of them and was surprised that it worked so well. It did not slip off the book and lit up both pages. The light was placed on the front side cover for about 180 pages and then I placed it on the back cover for the remaining 160 pages. I then tried the light on my new Kindle and it lit up the whole screen without any shadows. These tests were done in a dark walk in closet and the results were excellent. Easy on the eyes. Excellent construction and light weight. I have tried other clip on lights in the past with no good results but this one beats them all. I also attached it to the side of my laptop to light up the key board so that when I am riding in the car at night I do not need to keep the over head light on to see the key board. I will have to buy 3 more for the rest of my family as find this very handy.

> 3 dayI tend to toss things into my purse so a book light with a long neck was definitely out of the question. The kandle II folds into a sturdy little block and they also include a pouch to store it in. If I am going to travel with a book light, I feel this would stand up to the jostling in my purse pretty well. So far so good! I have the latest version of the plain kindle and the amazon-produced leather kindle cover without the light. The kandle II clips on to the kindle just fine whether it is in or out of the cover. The only improvement I would want is for the clip to be adjusted so that it doesnt slide down further down onto the kindle screen. However, it is a small complaint. As long as you are careful not to knock it around, the kandle should stay in place just fine and for the low price, I am willing to put up with this very minor inconvenience. I love that there are two brightness settings and I find the low setting to be fine most of the time. Another great feature is the fact that it will turn off automatically if you fold the light closed which is fantastic. Its the small details like this which really sold me on this booklight. I definitely feel the quality is worth the price and I would advise anyone to get one.

Greater than one weekI bought this recently so I could stop bugging my husband with a lamp when I read after he goes to sleep. Its really great! It does clip on, which I didnt notice before I got it. Since the clip is so wide, I dont worry about it damaging my kindle like I did when I was using a regular book light. The light reaches all the way to the bottom of the page. The only thing I wish was different on it is that I wish it had a slightly dimmer setting. I think my eyes get sensitive at night, and it would be even less of a bother for sleeping partners that way. (I kind of assume a lot of people get them for that reason.)

Greater than one weekI just received my Graphite Kandle and I am thrilled. I had a leather cover so I didnt want to spend $60 for the all in one and I didnt want a light that was cumbersome or awkward. I swear I pretty much read every Kindle light review then I read the review for the Kandle. I thought the reviews were pretty good so I ordered it. It arrived today, one day delivery thanks to Prime. This Kandle is everything I wanted--small, compact, good light to the bottom of the page, adjustable and two light settings. The piece itself has a nice feel to it, I dont know if it is plastic or rubber but it feels wonderful when you hold it. It even came with a small cloth black case and a battery. I tested the light power in a dark closet and was amazed at the amount of light. There are 3 small recessed lights and two light settings---the lower setting will be great for me because the higher setting is really bright. The only thing is I wish the clip fitted a little snugger to the body of the Kindle, I worry over time the clip might become loose and not stay in place, and this is a small worry compared to the overall quality of the light. You will not go wrong buying this Kandle.

> 3 dayI have the version with two brightness levels. It clamps onto my Nook Touch reader well, and If I lift up the articulating lamp I can keep the light in place while closing the cover I use with my reader. I cant complain about the illumination which is bright and broad - especially compared to the single LED Nook light I was using before. I just had to change the batteries and was surprised at how fussy the procedure is. The battery compartment is held in place with a tiny screw, so you need a jewelers screwdriver. The batteries stack and you have to get the bottom one under a tab before you can add the second cell. Keeping the batteries in place while replacing the door and its screw is somewhat tricky. Im frankly disappointed that changing batteries requires a tool, requires removal of a small (easy to lose) screw, and it requires some artful reassembly technique. Considering how fast this light burns through batteries, youll need to change cells often enough that the poor compartment design is a problem. And youll need to carry a screwdriver to change cells when you travel. A second minor complaint is that I can fold the articulating arm down in contact with the reader and its hard to tell that the LEDs are on since the lamp head is opaque. This light would be improved if there was a translucent portion of the lamp assembly that would serve as an indicator lamp to warn you if the lights still on when the arm is folded flat.

> 3 dayIm really happy with my Kandle. I was pleasantly surprised with the size and the power of the light system. It lights up the screen of the Kindle perfectly and enables me to read anywhere with all the light that I need. Havent used it long enough to know how long the battery life is, but so far so good. The only complaints that I have are the price, I do feel that it is a bit overpriced, and Im also not sure how sturdy it is, it doesnt appear to be very sturdy, it could me made out of a tougher material especially for the price that it is. I was very happy with the delivery, I received it the day after I odered it. Iwas only expecting a 2 day delivery and got it sooner thatn that, was also well packaged.

Greater than one weekThis is my second candle book light, and I absolutely love them BUT while they’re some minor improvements there’s a problem with the battery compartment and cover !! Obviously since this is the second one I have the correct ones, and know the procedure. But the two batteries have a little bit of spring loaded action going on and it is nijgh on to impossible to close the cover. A lot disappointing because the oid unit has a switch or something and either flickers if it comes on. But it is old and I give it 5 stars….nothing lasts forever. But duct tape on my brand new unit. Sure, I could return it but it’s a design flaw.

> 3 dayI was a little apprehensive on getting this light after reading other reviews. 2 things that were mentioned on other reviews, screw driver needed for battery change and the light could be accidently left on when closed. Well I suppose the manufacturer listened and rectified those issues as the one I received had a twist off battery lid (no screwdriver needed) and the light automatically goes off when closed and you cannot accidently turn the light on when closed! It was awesome for a short (4 days) hospital stay and also in bed at home (wife doesnt complain that the lamp is keeping her up.

> 3 dayAs the owner of two older kindles which dont have lights (2nd and 3rd generation) I was really excited to try this product. The overall design and build quality is excellent and I dont have the issue with the batteries that some do. Unfortunately, there are three major drawbacks. 1. This thing is bright. Too bright for reading in a dark room or plane when others are near by. This was my largest disappointment. The levels of light arent very adjustable and even on its lowest setting the light spreads all over the place. Sure, it is great to have the ereader illuminated, but it feels like half the room is also illuminated. If you are next to another person, it could be quite distracting. Ive attached a photo of a Kandle as the only light in the room. 2. The arm doesnt stay up in the middle position. The brightness and spread could probably be manageable if the arm would stay in the middle positions. Instead, it very slowly closes as if on a spring load and then the light shuts off. This is a very nicely dampened action, so slow that you might not notice it is happening until half the reader is no longer illuminated. It is possible that I have a defective unit, but the slow close action leads me to believe it is intentional. 3. Size. The Kandle II is big compared to the reader. Much larger than I expected. Its 2/3 the width of my 3rd gen kindle. This is probably only a minor complaint. It would be awesome if it were smaller, but... Hopefully, these comments make it into the product development lifecycle. Aside from these three complaints, it is a really well done product and hopefully the Kandle III will be even better!
