Klein Tools VDV500-820 Cable Tracer with Probe Tone Pro Kit for Telephone, Internet, Video, Data and Communications Cables

Purchased to track down network cables that were missing labels. Worked great! Saved time and money with this tool. Plugged the rj11 connector on the tool into the rj45 data jack on the wall and then used the wand to locate the other end within a bundle of wires. Recommended this product for network cables. Have not tried on other wiring.

this is a good tool - buy it. I used it tracing an unused electric brake wire in an automobile harness full of wires. (my prior $20 cheapo tracer did not do the job adequately).

Had an open circuit that I could not locate. This tool helped me find it right away.

Worked perfectly. Was able to trace the wires and repair the break without digging up all 1000 feet of three conductors was able to isolate and repair

When connected to the ground and phase of a wire, this tool produces a clear and unmistakable signal. I was able to make this tool work in a 4 gang box full of wires. There is no mistaking the target wire.

Excellent price for Klein tools. This tone and probe set is excellent, has different tones, extra tests to prove the pairs you are searching, the probe is solid and good quality.

It is amazing how much time and frustration for tracking any cable at any length. It is my most valuable tool!
