The tester is very good, although I wish the manufacturer would have added the function that when I short the two wires the generator tone will changes to a different tone. Besides that the unit is solid.

This new toner works great to replace my old one and i like that it doesnt take up much space in my tool bag.

Did not come with instruction manual. Poorly packaged

Klein Tools are generally of good quality and do what they are supposed to do. Not so with this cable tracer. It was dead on arrival. The OEM batteries provided did not work. One battery in the probe was dead (.5 Vdc) while the batteries in the signal generator died after 10 minutes of use. Even with fresh batteries, the signal could not be found at distances of over 20 feet from the signal generator. Dont waste your money.

Good value for the price. Nice solid tone on long runs.

Has everything BUT the ability to Tone Live Networks.. works good and is very accurate.. for the money it is a great product.
