Ordered with skepticism. Would it work? Is it hard to use? Would it stay in place? Will it look stupid? I often have a recurring pulled Achilles tendon injury from 30 years ago as a teen playing sports and if youre familiar, keeping my ankle at a right angle with the tendon extended and stable is key. But this time, I had some bones in my foot out of place after mowing outside in the wrong shoes. The bones popped back into place later that day once I soaked it, socked it and put on proper shoes, but my foot was still super sore - then on top of that, I forgot and I plopped down on the sofa with my feet under me to watch a good movie. Ugh! A ganglion cyst formed - like immediately. My poor foot... I was kind of tired of the old-school ace bandages - I have a drawer full. Since Amazon delivers CRAZY FAST, I decided to get the tape. LOVE IT! It works. Is it easy to use (KT has a YouTube video). It stays in place (a little too well, I soak it off in the shower). It looked SUPER COOL! Im a Steelers fan, so I got black and yellow - I looked like a cool high-paid Olympian hurt on the gridiron! (hee hee) Watch the KT YouTube video, start with clean, dry skin and press good and gentle for a good seal. If you want to use moisturizer, apply a small amount and let set for 15-20 minutes first. Wear with socks for a bit to help the seal and maybe while sleeping. If the tape lifts, its a wrap, it will just keep lifting and like tape, fibers on it render it useless. But theres plenty in each pack. I will say that the tape irritated my shin skin terribly (itchy, red, swollen skin) maybe moisturizer after cleaning and drying skin could have helped. I cant do bandage adhesive on my upper chest, face or bend points inside elbows or behind my knees and now - front of shins. :)

Pre-cut strips eliminate trimming. Thicker fabric provides better support and lasts 3-4 days (just dry it well after showers). The included instructions are easy to understand, even for a newbie but consult a pro for your specific injury to make sure you are taping correctly (i.e., you put no stretch on the last 2-3” on each end, and mild to moderate stretch across the ares that need support. Again, the included instructions are great, but there are a number of YouTube videos on the topic as well. I have some Meniscus and MCL pain (64 yrs old) when I go cycling or walking, especially longer distances. Without the KT, the ache gets to 6-7 on the pain scale. With the KT, it’s closer to 2-3. I can’t comfortably wear a full knee brace while cycling, but the KT gives me great breathable support (I cycled 64 miles on my 64th birthday with only mild soreness the next day). Try this! It has been a fantastic find for me.

Ive used KT Tape off and on for a chronic ankle problem I got from running. When it flared up Id use some tape on it which would provide some relief. The only issue I had with KT Tapes original product was that since I used it on my ankle and foot, the ends of the tape would tend to come loose when you put you shoes and socks on and took them off. And once the ends come loose, its not long before the whole piece of tape wont stay. KT Tape advertises that it will stay on and can be worn for up to 5 days and occasionally I would get that much use out of it, but many times it would only last a day or two. Enter KT Tape Pro. I read a very positive review of it from someone I follow on Twitter and since I already knew the tape worked for me as far as providing relief from my injury, I decided to try a roll of their pro product. Im happy to say it works as advertised. If you apply it as directed (make sure to burnish it down good), it stays on. For several days. If youre wearing it on your feet, you still need to take some care putting on and taking off socks, but as long as you do that, you can wear it for a few days before it needs to be removed. If youve used KT Tapes original product, you will notice KT Tape Pro doesnt have the pre-cut split down the center of each piece. IMO, this is a change for the better. In many applications of the tape, you dont want to split it and its much easier to lay it down as a single piece without that pre-cut split. And if you do need that, its simple enough to do it yourself with a pair of scissors. All in all, a definite improvement on the original KT Tape. Highly recommended.

Works. Doesnt take the pain away totally, but significantly. Stayed on through 3 lap swims over a 5 or 6 day period. I finally pulled it off. No skin irritation. Will buy again. Even reduced the pain during daily movement / chores.

I have foot paralysis and I have to tape my toes and ankle every day, so I go through a lot of tape. This stuff is good, it’s just more expensive than some other brands that work as well

It is not entirely a pain relief. I don’t understand how it’s pain relief as I didn’t have any change on pain. However it’s a prevented product that avoid sudden pulls etc. also Paid $11.50 less than one month ago. Now $15.50. Nearly 40% increase in a month made me not to order this product anymore!

I’ve use this product multiple times in the past. I’ve used the original version as well as the pro. In the past, even the original would last for two or three days as advertised, but the pro, which is supposed to last 4 to 7 days, has not managed to last even overnight. I have used up the entire roll of strips and not one application has lasted overnight for a second day. Part of the time the glue is not sticking to my skin, but part of the time the tape is not sticking to a previous piece of tape. As I’ve said, I have used this product in the past and now how to apply it. After the first time it didn’t stick, I rewatched an application video to make sure I had applied it correctly. I had. I used the right amount of stretch and proceeded to give a friction rub afterwards to help as recommended. It didn’t matter if my skin was freshly washed or completely dry. It didn’t matter if I put lotion on the night before or not. It didn’t matter if I was wearing shorts, capris or jeans (application was on the knees). None of the applications stayed for a second day.

In terms of relief and support, the results were as flat as a deflated football. The tape did little to alleviate my discomfort or enhance my performance, making me question the steep price tag. To sum up, the KT Tape was a disappointing investment - it was more of a false start than a victory lap in my athletic journey.

This product works as advertised and is definitely worth every penny. It doesnt come off when exposed to water, it relieves muscle pain, and its reasonably priced. The bonus of this KT Tape Pro is that it comes in a reusable, plastic, compact, cylindrical case that can be used for other purposes. The only downsides are that when you sweat, this KT Tape Pro gets a bit itchy, and tiny bits of tape stick to your skin (and are difficult to remove) when you peel off the tape.
