KT tape is so useful for so many injuries and sprains. I rely on it a lot

I purchased this for support during recovery from an issue with patellar tendons and ligaments. I purchased the first couple of rolls from a local big-box discount store for $20 each. Then I began purchasing it on Amazon for $15-16. All my purchases were for KT Pro, not the original KT tape, so I cant make a comparison as some other reviewers have. The tape delivers what it promises. Its elasticity makes it a good choice for a variety of applications because the tension of the tape can be varied as it is applied, something that is harder to do with a standard athletic wrap. In terms of its waterproof capability, it does last through showers, but will last longer if care is taken not to directly blast it with the shower stream. The online video was very helpful in learning how to properly apply the tape for my particular use. Typically, I get several days of use from an application using the tape I purchased from Amazon. The tape I purchased locally was more prone to peeling off though; Im hypothesizing that perhaps it had been on the shelf in the store for some time or had been exposed to abnormal heat during shipment to the store. So I think theres probably some benefit from purchasing from a high-volume supplier such as Amazon so the adhesive is fresh. As with any tape, its important to clean oils and dirt from the area youre taping. I used alcohol swab pads for this, but hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball would work just as well. If you clean it well before application, the tape adheres much better. Also, if you cut the strips in half, remember to round off the square corners that result from cutting; this keeps the tape from peeling up on the corners. All in all, a very good product.

This product works. I have runners knee on my right, and a bone contusion on my left and it helped with the pain! I purchased this tape to avoid using knee braces after my specialist recommended it. So far it’s helped with supporting my knees and relieving pain. I must admit that once in awhile I still get sudden shocks of pain with the tape on, which is to be expected hence my 5 star rating regardless. Nothing can be perfect. Anyway, it took me awhile to realize but you have to RUB THE TAPE once it’s on your skin so that it sticks properly. Rub it a good ~35seconds but not back and forth, rub it STRICTLY one direction. Otherwise you’re risking the tape peeling off from the edges. Then you have to wait a couple hours before you can do any vigorous activity or else the tape starts wrinkling real bad. Trust me I’m taking with experience. The tape sticks alright in water but it takes its time with drying. Peeling off the tape is surprisingly easy if you don’t rub it in. I am yet to find out how easy it is after actually rubbing it in. If you need 5inch strips from the 10inch just cut it in half and CURVE THE EDGES! If you don’t then the corners will peel. I recommend shaving the area where the tape will be placed because it hurts when it tugs the hairs.

Bought the Pro hoping it would withstand more motion but it really doesnt. In fact, I think the regular KT tape last longer. save money and buy the regular, or even the amazon brand.

This is a great brand it is very durable and worth the money. I never have a problem applying the tape and I never have a problem removing the tape. You can tell the difference in this brand and other brands. I consistently buy KT tape. Very happy customer.

Works. Doesnt take the pain away totally, but significantly. Stayed on through 3 lap swims over a 5 or 6 day period. I finally pulled it off. No skin irritation. Will buy again. Even reduced the pain during daily movement / chores.

Ease of putting it on. Great instructions and display. 100% true about reducing swelling and pain. I got this for my knee and was able to keep Irvin for a couple of days even after showering did not come off. Easy to get off, I did not use anything to remove vitamins. Highly recommend this product if you have knee problems

This works good for sore knees, elbows, back, or wrist!
