Ive used several different tapes , KT Profesional is by far my favorite. It last 5 days easily, I use it on the bottom of my feet for Plantar fasciitis & arch support . I shower every day , it drys quickly & some days I just hit it with the blow dryer and go . Great product !

My daughter is a competitive dancer and injured her shoulder, so before every dance competition, we use this KT tape, which stays on very well, even when you sweat

Ive always had hot spots on the pad of my feet just before my arches due to my sweaty feet with the smallest amount of friction. Ive tried every cream, gel and powder available and just about every running sock on the market to minimize friction. I usually have problems going beyond 6 miles due to the burning pain and was fearing whether I could go the distance in my upcoming half marathon. I attended the Chevron Houston Marathon Expo and saw the KT Tape booth where there was a long line of people waiting to be taped by KT personnel. Being the Guinea pig that I am and having tried everything else on the market,I said what the heck and hopped in line too. After describing my issues, she taped each foot with one full strip longways from just under my toes to the back of my heel. She then cut a strip in half and put both short ways across the pad of my foot so that the entire pad was covered by strips. Well, I walked about 500 feet before feeling the tape starting to peel on the ends. Another expo participant shared that the oils and lotions on my feet were the likely cause of the peeling and that alcohol helps. So, I went back to the KT booth and sure enough she sprayed an alcohol solution and applied fresh tape. This time it lasted through the rest of the day and through my half marathon the following day. No pain, no burning, no friction and no peeling of the tape!!! I did another half marathon last Sunday. I wiped my feet with alcohol first and applied the tape exactly as it had been applied by KT....again, worked perfectly!!!! This stuff is amazing. I went on a 2 mile run this morning, applied alcohol first as usual. This time however, I only applied half of a strip across the pad of each foot. Worked like a charm. Gonna try using this same method for longer runs. In short, the tape is very effective even in the moistest areas but the key is to apply alcohol before applying the tape to remove excess oil.

Best thing ever ! It has worked for all of injuries... when I say all injuries I literally mean all injuries. I have two bad knees , one which is completely blown out and I use nothing but KT tape s AssNd a couple ibuprofen on the worst days. I broke my tibia about six months ago and I hate drs! I did go to the ER 2 days later (only because I was concerned I had restricted blood flow) and confirmed the break but was too swollen for casting. I never went back or had a follow up. KT tape was introduced to me and it actually got me through the long recovery. I highly suggest you do not try to do the same, use KT tape but don’t be an idiot like I am. I’m ruined probably for life lol :.... still won’t go to The dr but I definitely will continue to use kt tape. I use both original and love the pro . Has prevented pain everywhere from my carpal tunnel in my wrist and arthritis in all my joints to old sports injuries and knee surgeries. This is really the best thing ever? Stabilizes while preventing pain.

I have been using KT tape over the past year to remedy different injuries on my foot and shoulder. Overall, I really like the benefits that KT tape has, but I dont necessarily agree with some of the more bold claims of total pain relief. KT tape is good at sticking to your skin and coaching your body and joints on how to move. This helps your body recover, but wont provide immediate pain relief, and will only cause pain to stop if you work on strengthening your muscles and joints for the future. What KT tape does best is prevent your body from making your injuries any worse. Ive used KT tape for my shoulder and foot. On my shoulder I had my roommate apply the tape after watching a YouTube video. This helped coach my shoulder and arm move in a way that wouldnt cause me more pain, but did not completely solve the source of the problem. With my foot, I am currently dealing with sesamoiditis/turf toe. The KT tape really helps my foot move in a way that wont cause me more pain so I dont irritate the injury. The main idea is that KT tape will help your body from further irritating your injuries, but wont solve major injuries without you putting in some work to recover. In terms of adhesion, the tape sticks fairly well. On areas that dont move much or rub against other surfaces the tape will stick to you for 2-4 days before peeling off on the edges. For areas like your feet, the tape will stick for less time. Often Ive only had 6 hours of wear on my feet, but if you are careful, you can get up to 2 days. Call me crazy, but it seems that the green color lasts longer than the dark blue color of the same variety. Ive been able to have the green tape adhere for days while the dark blue will only adhere for hours. KT tape will never stick over arm or leg hair. I guess this also would be true for chest and back hair as well. KT tape recommends shaving the area you need to adhere. I have noticed, even with the lightest of hair, the KT tape will come off within the hour if you try to put it over any hair. I have showered with KT tape many times. As long as you dont move the KT tape while it is wet or cover it with soap the KT tape will dry within 30-60 minutes and adhere just as strong. Sometimes Ive noticed that after a hot shower the KT tape feels like it has shrunk a tiny bit and feels tighter, but oddly this almost feels better for my joints. In terms of feel, the tape is not very noticeable on your body unless you accidentally stick it to hair, or start to sweat where you have the KT tape. The KT tape fabric feels like the average workout shirt material, soft to touch and slightly moisture wicking. Overall I like the idea of KT tape, it helps coach my body to move in a certain way to prevent further irritation of my injury. This ends up helping me feel better over time when I put in the effort to recover and heal while wearing KT tape.

I have had a calf injury from overuse for about a year now that refuses to heal. I have tried rest, stretching, and compression socks with no luck. Although I was very skeptical about this tape, I thought Id give it a try out of desperation. It took a few tries to get the positioning just right, but now that I figured out the trick, I can say I definitely notice a difference! With the tape on, I feel no pain when walking or hiking. If I go a day without using the tape (due to laziness, or thinking Im fully healed), I irritate the injury. I hope that my strain will eventually heal, and I truly believe that this tape is supporting the healing process. At the very least, the tape is reinforcing proper walking gait, which allows me to continue to exercise and function in general! I live in NYC, so avoiding walking is not an option. One thing I have noticed after using this tape for a couple of months now: despite what the instructions say, the tape sticks to me a lot better when my skin is slightly oily versus when it is squeaky clean. Every time I apply it to freshly cleaned skin, the edges start to curl in a matter of minutes. However, when I apply it on slightly oily skin, it sticks really well. Having said that, I have yet to make it to the full 4 days it claims to last (following daily, 60+ minute exercise) without at least some peeling on the corners. Some mornings I wake up with the tape completely peeled off after only having it on 24 hours. On average, Id say this tape lasts me about 2 days before I have to reapply it, which can really add up in terms of cost. Overall, I recommend this product. I should note that proper application for most injuries is a two-person job, so keep that in mind. Also, be prepared to answer the question does that stuff really work? from complete strangers any time you have it on. I cant go a day without answering that question!

Been using this product for 10 years, ever since I was an injury-prone athlete treating jumpers knee, shin splints, IT band syndrome, knee surgery and shoulder impingement. Worked so well, the staff at Memorial Hermann in Houston doing my physical therapy took an interest for their other clients. Now that Im in cancer treatment, Im very prone to vicious calf and foot arch cramping, as well as vascular pain where the blood vessels just burn and ache in this one spot on the inside of my calf. I was pretty beat up from three airports and in so much leg pain, I could barely stand up to help my family do a puzzle over the dining room table. Also knew I was hiking up a small mountain on the same trip so I was in dire straits Enter KT Tape! Taped my problem arch and soleus muscle where the vascular pain happens and some of the cramping. Hike went off without any pain! When I got to the car, my knees were pretty beat up from the descent and overall body inflammation. Used my old jumpers knee taping technique, and poof, my pain was gone before I got home with takeout. Also, it never came back! This helped me avoid days of knee soreness. The Pro version is totally worth it. Seems more expensive, but if you apply it to clean skin and not over lotion or sunscreen —put that stuff AROUND it—its actually more economical because itll last through multiple days of showers. And because the metallic sheen on the purple just looks that cool!
