> 3 dayI have been using KT tape over the past year to remedy different injuries on my foot and shoulder. Overall, I really like the benefits that KT tape has, but I dont necessarily agree with some of the more bold claims of total pain relief. KT tape is good at sticking to your skin and coaching your body and joints on how to move. This helps your body recover, but wont provide immediate pain relief, and will only cause pain to stop if you work on strengthening your muscles and joints for the future. What KT tape does best is prevent your body from making your injuries any worse. Ive used KT tape for my shoulder and foot. On my shoulder I had my roommate apply the tape after watching a YouTube video. This helped coach my shoulder and arm move in a way that wouldnt cause me more pain, but did not completely solve the source of the problem. With my foot, I am currently dealing with sesamoiditis/turf toe. The KT tape really helps my foot move in a way that wont cause me more pain so I dont irritate the injury. The main idea is that KT tape will help your body from further irritating your injuries, but wont solve major injuries without you putting in some work to recover. In terms of adhesion, the tape sticks fairly well. On areas that dont move much or rub against other surfaces the tape will stick to you for 2-4 days before peeling off on the edges. For areas like your feet, the tape will stick for less time. Often Ive only had 6 hours of wear on my feet, but if you are careful, you can get up to 2 days. Call me crazy, but it seems that the green color lasts longer than the dark blue color of the same variety. Ive been able to have the green tape adhere for days while the dark blue will only adhere for hours. KT tape will never stick over arm or leg hair. I guess this also would be true for chest and back hair as well. KT tape recommends shaving the area you need to adhere. I have noticed, even with the lightest of hair, the KT tape will come off within the hour if you try to put it over any hair. I have showered with KT tape many times. As long as you dont move the KT tape while it is wet or cover it with soap the KT tape will dry within 30-60 minutes and adhere just as strong. Sometimes Ive noticed that after a hot shower the KT tape feels like it has shrunk a tiny bit and feels tighter, but oddly this almost feels better for my joints. In terms of feel, the tape is not very noticeable on your body unless you accidentally stick it to hair, or start to sweat where you have the KT tape. The KT tape fabric feels like the average workout shirt material, soft to touch and slightly moisture wicking. Overall I like the idea of KT tape, it helps coach my body to move in a certain way to prevent further irritation of my injury. This ends up helping me feel better over time when I put in the effort to recover and heal while wearing KT tape.

> 3 dayI have ribs that continuously slip out of place. This tape is what finally gave me relief enough to sleep. Unfortunately, I only had it on overnight and it became super itchy. When I took it off, I had welts for hours and the outside borders eventually blistered. It did work to give me relief! I was so excited to think of it helping, but it might not be the best for those with sensitive skin.

> 3 dayBought: Black precuts To preface, I work with a D1 basketball team and I’m a dancer so that means I shower after practices, treatments, and personal workouts. Cons: The other reviews are kind of untruthful because the tape comes off BUT it will stick right back majority of the time. I sweat perfusely and it was on my foot so it started to come off a bit but once I got dry after my shower and I rubbed it back on, it was stuck again. 2. The application isn’t always easy (if you’re doing it alone) but it will come with time. 3. My main peeve with it is that I got the precut ones. The strips become longer than what I wanted once stretched but I can’t really complain about getting more reach with the tape. Pro 1. Literally everything. I felt like I was walking on a pillow with my ankle and that is my recurrent injury spot 2. It didn’t stop my range of motion on my knee plus it feels like a brace without the limitations of a brace. The tape reminds you that you have an injury because you will feel it stretch as you do certain movements but it won’t hurt nor stop you. 3. After 3 or 4 days, it was still stuck on me. Even the parts that peeled back, were still sticky.

18-04-2025I have runners knee where my kneecap doesnt track straight and I get pain from high mileage and downhill running. I have used all kinds of braces or supports in the past. I was hesitant to use tape because I thought I may apply it incorrectly and actually do more harm than good. Then I found the YouTube videos for KT tape and decided to give it a shot. The tape has allowed me to keep training for a marathon I have. I was at a point where I was in pain after one mile, but as soon as I started using the tape the discomfort became less and less. After three weeks Im back doing 15-18 mile long runs and about 40 total a week. I have applied the tape four times in a month. Each time I did it right after getting out of the shower so there was no body oils on my leg. I have normal leg hair for a guy and the tape is OK on the leg hair when in place, but removing it even after a week is not pleasant. This last time I shaved the area that would be taped. I havent removed it yet, but Im sure itll be a better experience. I have also noticed that its holding up much better on the edges. After 4-5 showers the edges get a little ratty. I have taped my wife for her plantar fasciitis. The ankle rubs a lot more in the shoe so the tape lasts less than a week. Even so, she has been happy with the support and guidance provided by the tape. In the end it costs about $2.25-2.50 each time I tape my knee. Im hoping to stop using it after my marathon and work on strengthening my legs more but until then this tape makes running much more bearable. Watch the YouTube videos, clean your skin with soap and dry, dont touch the adhesive and consider shaving the area for best adhesion and comfort. I forget its even there.

> 3 dayThis is the first time Ive ever used this product, and I wont be using it again...well at least not this brand. It claims to stay on for 24 hrs and that it is sweat proof and I call B.S. on both claims. The first day I used it, I taped for peroneal tendinitis, tarsal syndrome, and Achilles tendinitis and within an 4 hours it was already lifting and rolling. My skin was clean, dry and I was not doing anything other then walking around the house. The second time I taped for same issues after I got out of shower was dressed and dried and I immediately laid down for a nap and again when I woke the tape had lifted and rolled up in several places. I was really excited to try this product as I had seen it used and it has been recommended by several people I know that are extreme sport athletes. While on it truly does provide the support to my ankle and foot I was looking for, it truly is a let down that it just doesnt last long.

> 3 dayMy podiatrist recommended this after an ankle sprain. I like that it comes in sheets that are easy to use, with photo instructions depending on what area needs taped. It provides support, and doctor said it can help increase blood flow to the area to promote healing. It adhered well, even when I swam laps in the pool.

> 3 dayBought the Pro hoping it would withstand more motion but it really doesnt. In fact, I think the regular KT tape last longer. save money and buy the regular, or even the amazon brand.
