Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors, 48 Colors

I have been doing watercolor for the last 6 months, so I decided to amp my game and buy something really nice and special. This is what I bought and I love it! Beautiful colors, creamy texture, and easy to use. I totally recommend you get one!

I love painting with Kuretake watercolors. The colors are vibrant and do not fade as much as other brands I have tried.

These are lovely. This palette will last me a very long time. You get what you give with these paints. LOVE.

These paints are different from watercolor and gouache I have used. There is an unevenness when painting dries and a patchiness. But I think it is because a new technique is needed. Possibly a different paper. I look forward to learning how to use them. They are beautiful and rich colors. The pans are bigger and therefor they are not full to the brim. If you put the same amount of paint in a pan half the size it would fill it. So they are worth the money. I may come back later and give more stars.I am not sorry I purchased them.

I haven’t used this yet, but I’m on my second delivery of this. The first order several of the paints were broken. On the second order, the pink one was broken. I have no idea whether or not it’s something intrinsic in the paint or the delivery process, but it’s frustrating.

These watercolors are great! Im fairly new to using watercolor, but have purchased other watercolor sets and noticed the difference right away. The colors are vibrant, clear and well pigmented plus they activate easily. This is a beautiful set wit 48 full pans. The few metalic colors are beautiful . A couple of colors are a bit opaque...one light gray, white and a lavender. The only down side is that the pans are loose fitting in a flat box and they dont have the color name on the top side of the pans. The color info is on the bottom of each pan and on the box where each one sits. It does come with a chart showing the colors and names that you can refer to. It also comes with a chart with the names and blank squares that you can paint the colors onto. I made the mistake of turning the box over and all of the pans fell out. None were damaged, but it took a bit of time to replace each one into their proper spot, but it wasnt difficult. The box is simple, but very pretty. This would make a very nice gift. This is a quality set and I would definitely order this set again!

I am happy that I finally pulled the trigger and purchased these for myself. No fuss about what colors to mix to make this or that, these were my started set and Ive been enjoying them for the past few weeks. The colors are vibrant and the paint is easy to use. Im pleased with my purchase.
