> 3 dayI like the large design of the pans. Beautiful and brilliant unique colors that still look very natural. It has a few very unique colors you wont find in other brands in a 48 set. Would like to see this in a tin like the Caran d Ache Neocolor II. BECAUSE OF THE SPECIAL COLORS I AM LOOKING FOWARD TO SOME DELICATE SUBJECTS PAINTING LIKE FLOWERS ETC.

> 3 dayThese are simply wonderful. Re-wet very easily, rich pigment, smooth and creamy feel. You can go from opaque to varying degrees of transparency - they are so versatile. Dont be turned away by what I have seen others call a thin layer of paint in the pans - the pans are larger than even a standard full pan watercolor, but much shorter. The result is that there is still about the same amount of paint. Additionally, the colors are so concentrated that this paint will last a long time and allow you to create hundreds of paintings. The packaging is elegant and practical - they are presented so beautifully that all youd need is a ribbon wrapped around the box when giving as a gift. I recommend these paints highly and have nothing but good things to say. A true pleasure to paint with. Ive uploaded a video on YT - search for Review: Kuretake GANSAI TAMBI watercolor 48 Colors.

Greater than one weekI LOVE these watercolor pan paints! Ive used all kinds of Northern European and American watercolor paints. I have just a small set of Kuretake paints myself, but its really all you need. The paint flow and coverage is perfect!... but it can be transparent as well. You can push the colors into position for quite a while after you first apply it. You must, must, must have decent watercolor paper though, regardless of what paint you use. 140lb, cold pressed works wonderfully. A decent brush too. Splurge on a great one and care for it religiously. You will have endless hours of joy if you have the right equipment. Supermarket and drugstore watercolor paint boxes, as well as watercolor pad papers, and brushes, SUCK. They will make you think you hate watercolors. Walk away from them and do not buy them. You will be glad you did.

> 3 dayI was pretty surprised at the amount of paint that was in this set. I know its a good product already, and am pretty anxious to use it for the first time.
