> 24 hourThis is used with a Mac Studio. It is incredible quality and worked out of the box with no issues. 100% worth the price.

> 24 hourI bought two of these monitors: 1. The first one is to connect to a Chromebook for distance learning (via USB-C) and a Kano (via HDMI) for tinkering with code projects. The monitor works great and charges the Chromebook over the USB-C connection. The audio is adequate and is substantially better than the audio in the Chromebook. 2. The second one is to connect a MacBook Pro (via DisplayPort 1.2) for office productivity and watching 4K HDR content and a Dell Optiplex (via HDMI) for office productivity, gaming, and watching 4K HDR content. These monitors perform flawlessly in my two environments! I enjoy the flexibility of having USB-C, DisplayPort, and two HDMI ports to choose from for my inputs. Having these monitors with the built-in adjustable stands allows us to position everything ergonomically to prevent neck and eye strain. Ill update this review in the future after weve used these monitors for a few more months.

> 24 hourI converted from a PC desktop to a Mac Mini and paired it with this monitor. It was a worthy investment. I spent hours (probably too many) researching this set up. Do yourself a favor - just buy it. The only gripe I have is that some web designs and UI/UX code shows up a little grainy because its not set up to be displayed on a monitor with this many pixels. Haha. Ill take that trade off. Ive got it mounted on my desktop right now, but in a few days Ive got a monitor arm coming which Ill set up. Thatll be about it for my monitor set up. Ill probably end up buying another tbh.

> 24 hourThis is a decent monitor for light use. I dont use it for gaming, and I dont use it for high production creative work, where color exactness is really important. But for everyday tasks, such as zoom meetings and email and such, it is very nice and works well. My only complaint with the design is that the stand sticks out too much for my liking. The total footprint of the monitor is about 9 deep, and the stand sticks out about 4 in front of the monitor. I remember when I bought the monitor, I read some reviews that said the built in speakers are ok. They are not. They are as terrible as you would imagine them to be. Also I remember reading that people did not like the nipple that you use to set the ports on the monitor and control other settings. I have not had any problems with that interface. It seems easy enough to me, even if its slightly annoying.

> 24 hourI have tried three different 4k monitors and this one is hands down the only usable one (probably the best under $400). Its totally compatible with my M1 Macbook Pro, and give good use experience when plugged in. Picture quality is really nice and I have nothing to complain about it.

> 24 hourI purchased this monitor to get more screen real estate for working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its great to be able to have a Zoom or Teams meeting going, have a document or browser window open, and to be able to keep an eye on my email without having to constantly minimize or move windows around. The image quality is excellent - very sharp and clear with natural looking color. Contrast is also very good, although black levels are not as good as on a higher end modern television or mobile device with an OLED panel. But, you really only notice at night in a darker room. The matte screen also lets me have my home office setup in front of a set of windows without fighting glare. Onscreen text looks great, and the night mode preset that lowers brightness levels and shifts whites to a warmer hue is also nice when working late. Video looks very good, although I havent been able to get Netflix and Amazon to stream to the monitor in 4K. Im using the latest and greatest version of usb-c to connect to a late-model HP laptop. If anyone has troubleshooting tips, let me know. But, non-protected 4k content from sites like YouTube looks great. This monitor doesnt have a high refresh rate by 2020 standards, though, so gamers and people watching live sports might be happier looking elsewhere. The 2-way adjustability of this monitor makes it really comfortable to use for long workdays. The stand is also surprisingly solid and more premium than it looks in the photos. I assumed it would be plastic, but its metal. So, I have no worries about accidentally tipping the monitor off my desk when adjusting the screen. It is also ingeniously simple to assemble without tools or messing with a bunch of little screws. Overall, this is an almost ideal monitor for working from home, and LG seems to have prioritized productivity over entertainment in its design choices, which is great for me. It has a modern, minimalist design compared to a lot of other options with overwrought styling intended to appeal to gamers, which is nice since my office is also our family room. And, IMHO, matte screens are MUCH more pleasant for reading and writing than glossy models. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourI purchased a second monitor, as I moved the first to my new iMac. After several months, I am very please with the first monitor. I will post the same review below for the second monitor, as it now is attached to my MacBook Pro. This monitor is great for the price. I easily assembled the stand, plugged in the USB-C cable, and it was up and running on my 2016 MacBook Pro. The picture was fine out of the box, though way too bright for my dark studio. The colors are a little off with the auto-setting compared to the MacBook, so I will need to adjust them a bit. If anything the screen is a little too large, but I wanted the real estate to post-process photos. This was a very good purchase.

> 24 hourFirst, when connected to my MacBook Pro 16, this is an awesome monitor. Setup was easy, and it gracefully handles being plugged in, and unplugged. The speakers on the back are even useful. Now for the bad. Theres no easy way to adjust the sound when the app doesnt present a volume slider. When using with Linux, it sort of works, but there are no settings that can place the monitor in some kind of comparability mode, so I get half a screen what is basically unusable. This means that in my dual setup, If I want to do development on Linux, I need to use another monitor.

> 24 hourAfter much research, I ended up buying this monitor graphic design. I watched a ton of videos and read so many reviews. Nothing seemed perfect...as what I really want is my old Apple Cinema 27 cinema display! (Ive been through 2 of those and both didnt work well with my new MacBook pro. The connection wasnt reliable and the screen would blackout. I got rid of both of them and decided I needed to move on.) This monitor was really the only one I could stomach from an aesthetic point of view, but I was worried because I read about some of the color issues in the reviews. I was looking to spend under $500. The Dells are highly rated, but they were more expensive and not as nice looking. Onward to my experience and addressing some of the issues I saw in the reviews: 1) Some reviewers said the stand is flimsy. Its not as great or solid as the mac stand, but its fine and sturdy enough. No issues here. 2) One reviewer mentioned that her display was tilted a bit and she couldnt get it straight. Mine was tilted a bit, but just put a little muscle into it and got it straight no problem. 3) The font on the display was way too large. I found a setting in systems preferences to make it smaller, looks normal and crisp now. 4) A few mentioned that the color is off, they are too bright and saturated, almost neon. I did experience this. In order to fix it, I did as some reviewers recommended and turned off the High Dynamic Range setting in the display preferences. 5) Also, It was confusing when I first plugged in the display. A menu associated with the display (so not controlled by my mac) was asking me to select ok. Without my cursor from the mac, I couldnt do this. That is when I discovered the important power switch and setting switch on the monitor under the LG logo. The controls on this switch are very clunky, but after spending about 15 minutes with it I could see where I can adjust the brightness and some other settings. 6) This monitor comes with speakers, but you cant control the sound from your macbook pro. Since Im using this at home for work, I was frustrated when I wanted to listen to a podcast and the sound came in through the display too loud. There is an adjustment with the settings under the LG logo on the display, but thats a hassle. So I went into system preferences on my Mac and changed the setting back to MacBook Pro Speakers, so now the sound is coming through my MacBook and I can easily adjust the sound. So if you are like me and using this for work/design, you might as well save some money and get the version without speakers. So the bottom line is it took about an hour to fiddle with settings until I got a good-looking image that matches my MacBook Pro. I just got the monitor today, so Ill add to this review if I come across any issues. (I dont add to this it means that I like the monitor and its working fine for my needs as a graphic designer.)

> 24 hourGreat color and clarity. Connects quickly and easily with my M1 Max Macbook Pro. I knocked off one star because the included USB C cable is pretty short and the monitor doesnt work with anything but the included cables. I tried 2 different USB C cables from Apple and a generic one and neither worked. I called LG and they said they dont make a longer one and that is the only one that works with the monitor. I use 2 of these monitors with my laptop so a longer cable would make it much more convenient to connect the one thats furthest away from the computer.
