> 3 dayI connect this monitor to my M1 MacBook Air and it works great. I keep the MacBook in clamshell mode and it charges nicely while using the monitor. There also seems to be a battery health think going on because it will go down to 80% and then back up to 100%. I think this is Apple keeping the battery moving and healthy. Would not hesitate to recommend this monitor to those in my situation. The con is that the speakers are not great - they are OK. Other than that - wonderful monitor.

Greater than one weekbought to use with a MacBook Air M1 (2020), crystal clear screen right out of the box, 4K resolution with 60 Hz refresh rate while using the USB-C cable that was included in the box with the monitor (USB-C also charges the Mac while connected). Also includes an HDMI cable. not the cheapest option out there but it looks great and works flawlessly with the Mac Air M1. hopefully the build quality lasts, well see.

Greater than one weekit darkens and dims, after a few minutes, so I decided to keep, tried to get partial refund but its impossible to get in contact with support, and I didnt want to return it. Seems like a problem with these screens, maybe not a common problem and I got a bad one

> 3 dayLove this monitor! Im a graphic designer and was in search of a match for the macbook pro to upgrade my work from home situation! I had been given several recommendations, read a gazillian reviews and also I could not justify buying the $700 ultrafine mac pairing for a merely 24 screen. Among the recs, on the line comparison from amazon, this showed up and after reading the reviews (which were all great!!) I decided to give it a try. The monitor itself has a nice weight to it, so it does not wabble and is sturdy. I calibrated it with just messing around the tools and settings, and it was calibrated within a couple tries(and I am not super comp savvy). The speakers work great for zoom calls and the knob is easy to navigate - I also purchased the insurance just in case. So far so good! Im super stoked with my decision!

21-11-2024First, when connected to my MacBook Pro 16, this is an awesome monitor. Setup was easy, and it gracefully handles being plugged in, and unplugged. The speakers on the back are even useful. Now for the bad. Theres no easy way to adjust the sound when the app doesnt present a volume slider. When using with Linux, it sort of works, but there are no settings that can place the monitor in some kind of comparability mode, so I get half a screen what is basically unusable. This means that in my dual setup, If I want to do development on Linux, I need to use another monitor.

Greater than one weekAfter much research, I ended up buying this monitor graphic design. I watched a ton of videos and read so many reviews. Nothing seemed perfect...as what I really want is my old Apple Cinema 27 cinema display! (Ive been through 2 of those and both didnt work well with my new MacBook pro. The connection wasnt reliable and the screen would blackout. I got rid of both of them and decided I needed to move on.) This monitor was really the only one I could stomach from an aesthetic point of view, but I was worried because I read about some of the color issues in the reviews. I was looking to spend under $500. The Dells are highly rated, but they were more expensive and not as nice looking. Onward to my experience and addressing some of the issues I saw in the reviews: 1) Some reviewers said the stand is flimsy. Its not as great or solid as the mac stand, but its fine and sturdy enough. No issues here. 2) One reviewer mentioned that her display was tilted a bit and she couldnt get it straight. Mine was tilted a bit, but just put a little muscle into it and got it straight no problem. 3) The font on the display was way too large. I found a setting in systems preferences to make it smaller, looks normal and crisp now. 4) A few mentioned that the color is off, they are too bright and saturated, almost neon. I did experience this. In order to fix it, I did as some reviewers recommended and turned off the High Dynamic Range setting in the display preferences. 5) Also, It was confusing when I first plugged in the display. A menu associated with the display (so not controlled by my mac) was asking me to select ok. Without my cursor from the mac, I couldnt do this. That is when I discovered the important power switch and setting switch on the monitor under the LG logo. The controls on this switch are very clunky, but after spending about 15 minutes with it I could see where I can adjust the brightness and some other settings. 6) This monitor comes with speakers, but you cant control the sound from your macbook pro. Since Im using this at home for work, I was frustrated when I wanted to listen to a podcast and the sound came in through the display too loud. There is an adjustment with the settings under the LG logo on the display, but thats a hassle. So I went into system preferences on my Mac and changed the setting back to MacBook Pro Speakers, so now the sound is coming through my MacBook and I can easily adjust the sound. So if you are like me and using this for work/design, you might as well save some money and get the version without speakers. So the bottom line is it took about an hour to fiddle with settings until I got a good-looking image that matches my MacBook Pro. I just got the monitor today, so Ill add to this review if I come across any issues. (I dont add to this it means that I like the monitor and its working fine for my needs as a graphic designer.)

> 3 dayNot the greatest monitor I’ve ever owned but not bad for the price. Only gripes: 1. The arching stand is atheistically pleasing but functionally ridiculous. Takes up a great deal of real estate on the desk and does not seem as stable as a more traditional monitor stand. 2. Why on earth would anyone send the manual on CD in the year 2023? Either print out a one pager on how to navigate the menu system or give us a QR code to find it on your website. I just want to plug and play, not go through a wild goose chase to find out how to use all the features I paid for.
