05-06-2025Ive been a Logitech fan for years now since I first started PC gaming. I wont lie I havent really tried anything else outside of Logitech but I do own just about every main mice in their gaming lineup. The G403, G502, G Pro, G302 and G300s. I always wanted to try the MX518 for its shape but never had the chance until now. I have to say this is arguably the most comfortable mouse Iv ever used. The shape feels similar to the G502 but it gets rid of the non essentials on that mouse and is much lighter. I very much like the old school look and the gloss finish is gorgeous and feels good to grip. Iv played FPS games almost exclusively my entire life. Battlefield, Overwatch, CS:GO, Titanfall, and now I mostly focus on Quake Champions and Apex Legends. The sensor is perfect in every way, thats not really surprising though since it is Logitech after all. The ergonomics are more suitable for medium to large hands, its definitely a THICC mouse and 100 grams isnt exactly the ideal for FPS but I dont mind it at all since the shape makes up for that. I had no issues adjusting from the 89g G pro going to this. Honestly this is probably going to be my main mouse from now on till I find a better shape but that probably wont happen. PROS - Amazing shape for medium to large hands (palm grip) - Solid construction in good ol Logitech fashion - Gorgeous aesthetics and finish (I dont care for Lamborghini flares or RGB) - Best sensor on the market - No braided cable (I cant stand brained cable. Theyre stiff, catch on everything and fray) - Logitech customer support (they have been amazing in the past) CONS - 100g is not ideal would have like to seen it around 90g - New Logitech G Hub software is not good, I much preferred old software - Doesnt give me Shroud aim

> 3 dayI received this mouse on Oct. 31, 2020. I bought it primarily for gaming, for the 8 programmable buttons, but I am disappointed. First, I found the design to be ungainly, the mouse feels too big in my hand and I cant reach all of the buttons without continually shifting the position of my hand. After trying it on a couple of games, I went back to a standard keyboard and mouse setup. I now use the LMB, RMB, and mouse wheel only, the same as I would with a 3 button mouse. The other problem is that the LMB intermittently malfunctions. There should be tactile and audible feedback when the mouse button is clicked. But sometimes I get the click (feel and sound) before the button is fully depressed causing me to misclick. Overall, since Amazon is allowing returns until January 31, I think I will return it and not ask for a replacement.

> 3 dayGot this yesterday and have logged several hours on it already playing shooters and while the shape is nothing that new, the sensor is extraordinary. You could perform surgery with this thing. The feel of this mouse isnt quite as solid or quality as I would think but its not that bad. The shape is pretty good but I find I have a hard time finding a comfortable spot for my pinky. Its not a huge deal and nothing that would keep me from using it. Again, the sensor is the best Ive ever used and I presently own literally a dozen gaming mice. I usually buy one ever 4 or 5 months. So comfort Id give this a 7.5 with the DeathAdder being a 10. Build Quality Id also give a 7.5. It doesnt feel cheap but it doesnt feel high quality either. Performance Id give a 10. Easily the best, most accurate sensor on the market and Logitechs gaming software is second to none. So yeah, for $60 this is easily worth it. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayAug 10 2021 Edit: I am updating my review after a year and a half of using the mouse, And I must give it 5 stars for consistency without material loss (comparing a different mouse I was using beforehand). This mouse is a beast, fit perfectly for small hand, comfortable and reliable. I guess I wouldnt be switching Logitech with any other, tried it before and got disappointed. This is a perfect mouse - highly recommended! ---- First review: Using this mouse for a couple of months now. Ill go right into it: Pros *Perfect ergonomic (for my hand) *Programmable buttons *Manual DPI adjusting via a software - works well *Simple and beautiful design (A matter of taste really) Cons *The cable feels cheap, doesnt looks like itll last long *The materials doesnt feel top notch like another mouse I had from a different company. Overall: 4 out of 5 Sum: I wish they would use a better cable and a higher quality plastics. But even with that its an amazing mouse, fit perfectly for small/medium hands, accurate for gaming, great software, works flawlessly.

Greater than one weekMy younger brother gave me an older version of this mouse years ago and it has lasted me many years until I decided that it was time to replace it and Im glad I did. My old one was still working, it just wasnt working properly anymore. So I purchased a used but like new one and so far so good. This was a purchase that Im glad that I did and when it comes time to replace this one, Ill buy another one of these thats for sure.

> 3 dayI previously routed the mouse to the back of the computer through a cable routing grommet hole in my desk. However, after just a week or so, I found the cable shielding had some obvious wear where it rubbed on that plastic grommet. Now Im wrapping it up and running through the USB pas through on the keyboard. But the typical rubber/plastic shielding just tends to offer more resistance than a braided cable. If nothing else, making a replaceable or removable usb cable would be well received. As many others, I once owned a mx510 in red, back in the day. This is a familiar friend, and with the new sensor and feet design, I hope it lasts as long as the original did.

01-06-2025Im not really a mouse enthusiast, but I know what I like. I was using an old Logitech wireless mouse for work (at home), and it would cause me to develop pain in my hand if I used to for too long. I remembered I had a MX510 in the early 2000s and LOVED that mouse. So thinking I was being thrifty, I went onto a popular online auction site, thinking I could find one for dirt cheap... I mean who wants a weird shaped mouse from the early 2000s? $70 Starting price, $200+ New. I refused to pay that for a mouse (especially a used one), and settled on the G403, it was not the same as my beloved MX510 but it was A LOT better than the tiny Logitech I was using. I saw recently that there was a re-release of this mouse... I was thrilled. I waited patiently for the US version as I did not want to wait a month+ for one to be imported from Hong Kong. Wow, let me tell you... The design is exact. The feel is exact, even down to the rubber cable. I can use this mouse for hours on end, and never get pain in my hand. A lot of people hate this design, but I love it. I use it to game, and work, and it preforms flawlessly. I booted up Unreal Tournament 99 just for the pure nostalgia... Ive certainly lost my touch over the years, but the mouse felt just like I remember.

> 3 dayEdit as of 2/18/2021: Double clicking has started occurring now Oh well it was goodish while it lasted. Ergonomics are fantastic, performance is predicable and great, gloss finish on the top is the doing of satan..... Im a clean freak of sorts, and when Im holding something glossy my hands sweat that sweat then dries on the glossy object making it not clean... the pictures above are after about a hour of use after cleaning it for me, if your not afraid to modify it and remove the gloss finish its 100% worth it. I am going to wait for my warranty to run out before i attempt to do so. Conclusion, other than the abysmal gloss finish (have no idea how companies think they are still a good idea) its a amazing mouse comfort wise and performance

Greater than one weekOther reviews are accurate. This isnt the same as the old mx mouses. It just doesnt feel solid like before. Minor squeaks, and a little stick in the scroll..
