> 3 dayIts overall pretty nice. Although for how much this thing costs it feels pretty flimsy. The buttons also just stick anything onto it and can get dirty easily, nothing like any mouse Ive ever used. It feels a bit awkward for my ring finger like it has nowhere to go but I ended up clawing the thing the whole time anyways. I always use the middle mouse button to open and close links/tabs and the button started to give away and make a crunched plastic sound but it did go away somehow which was cool... If this product costs maybe half what it is then Id definitely recommend and give 5 stars but it does have some flaws. It performs nicely though its just the flaws really stick to my mind.

> 3 dayI dont know what it is about Logitech mice and the right click failing, but its happened on every mouse Ive bought from them. From my favorite mouse of all time (G9 original) to a 400s, and now an MX518 something needs to be done to remedy this common problem. I cant find a click spec for this mouse, standard MTBF for a decent mouse back in the day was 1 million clicks... I know for sure Im not right clicking a million times, nor has the button ever broke, as in its always still clicked but it seems like they all start double clicking randomly on their own after some time. Its a real shame because they seem more durable than most mice (Ive broken 2 Corsair mice buttons just by clicking) but something inside isnt registering the click or is somehow registering it twice even those the click sound is still crisp and nothing seems broken (no rattling). So who knows. I bought this mouse a few months after release, I thought it was a G5 replacement but apparently MX518 is its own brand, still its the classic G5 shape and its super comfy to use. When I got mine it was $60, Id be looking elsewhere if it wasnt basically half price at this point, that being said I bought another one. Id recommend this at $30-40 but not any more.

> 3 dayThis mouse has been a curse/blessing. The curse being its hard to find a mouse I can comfortable grip like this one. Blessing because its just so comfortable and my aiming performance is best with this shape. This was my first mouse back when I was 11 years old playing Delta force land warrior up until Call of Duty 1. Once it broke I tried several other mice with the razer naga being the only one that really supported my grip. I was overjoyed to see Logitech re-released this mouse, and boy does it deserve its legendary title. The only negative is that is does creek a little if I put enough pressure on it. Otherwise performance is exactly what youd expect from a hero sensor, no spins outs whatsoever. Gaming mice really have come such a long way.

> 3 dayCall it what you want, the MX518/G400/G400S/MX518 Legendary keeps coming back for good reason: its a dead simple mouse with no frills and a whole lot of heft for those with hands on the larger side (And by hands I mean hand, lefties are left out on this design unfortunately) or those that prefer their mice to have some weight. Set the DPI to 800, turn the polling rate to 1,000 Hz, turn off smoothing and acceleration and youve got a mouse FPS junkies have been trusting for 15 years. As always, the thin cable is the weak spot on this line, but having used a G Pro for 3 years with the heavy braided cable constantly getting stuck on everything without it being bungeed up, Id rather just be gentle with a thinner and lighter cable. Pros: +Ergos, size and weight best described as Its chonk. Those with larger hands or those that like to rest their hand on the mouse will come back to this mouse like a long lost friend. This has to be Logitechs longest running gaming mouse both in years and number of refreshes. +Unlike the G Pro, that heft helps it to not be bullied by its cable. The thin, rubber cable also doesnt get stuck on things nearly as much as the Pros braided cable. +Sensors have been updated to Logitechs latest, but I cant tell the difference from my G400S or G Pro. You still dont have to worry about angle snapping. YMMV: #Logitechs G Hub sucks but thats not necessarily this mouses fault. Unless you need to be frequently messing with this or other devices settings, feel free to save your settings to the mouses internal memory and uninstall G Hub to save 250 Megs. You certainly wont need lighting settings or anything. #This is personal taste but the G branding is boring. Logitech had a chance to shout out the MX518s old Logitech logo on the mouse and with the included sticker but didnt. I do like the new glossy silver fade-to-black design and prefer it to the old 518s quicksilver design. Cons: -Ergos, size and weight best described as dated. Those with smaller hands, those that claw grip, lefties, weaker hands etc, will find that theyve purchased a brick with 2005s idea of what a hand should contour to. -The cable is still going to be what fails first. Its thin, rubber and connected to the mouse with only a bit of strain relief. Theres replacement cables and feet out there if youre in need. -The G400S had a kind of tacky rubbery feeling to its outer shell and sides? The MX518L is all glossy plastic and hard plastic on the sides. Not great for sweaty hands.

> 3 dayGreat mouse that feels just like the classic, but with modern features and better specs. I had moved away from Logitech mice over the years as I wasnt a fan of the design and feel of the modern lineup, but as soon as I saw the mx518 was back, I had to get it. Although the glossy material looks and feels good, it is a smudge magnet. Often requires cleaning, but its not enough of a detriment to take away from the good. This is for people who like the feel of a big round medium weight mouse. I dont often switch sensitivities, but having a button that resets to the default of your choosing is fantastic for those accidental presses. Simple 2 side button configuration, and a deep left thumb recess also helps with accidental presses.

> 3 dayIn 2005, I bought a mouse for my first gaming computer. That mouse happened to be the Logitech MX510. I have used it since then, and its gone through everything with me. Its been around the world, to school with me, and the military. Finally, the cord started to fail after 15 faithful years. I could hear the constant disconnecting/connecting jingle during casual use or gaming. I knew they came out with the MX518 Legendary, and I finally decided it was time. The weight is a little lighter, the feel is the exact same (in a good way), but its a bitter sweet moment. The MX518 legendary is perfect, and If you decide to buy it, I hope you appreciate it as others have before you for its legacy. It doesnt have RGB or a million programmable buttons, but man does it ride smooth. This is a fully restored muscle car... not a Ferrari. If you can understand that, then youll fall in love with it.

> 3 dayI dont normally write reviews, but this mouse is so much better than my old mouse I felt inspired to. I am not a mouse connoisseur, this is the most expensive mouse I have ever bought by a large margin, but I cant believe how much better of an experience it is to the bargain brand gaming mouse I was using before. I was actually very turned off and worried when I ordered since it does look quite bland, but I now realize that the design is for performance not looks. The shape is stupid to look at but feels amazing in your hand and the smooth surfaces are not as cool as blinky colorful mouses, but they are very easy to clean and give a satisfying grip. The clicking is infinitely more precise than my last mouse and that is why I got this mouse because the imprecision was driving me crazy. This mouse so far has been worth every penny. I havent had it that long so we will see how durable it is over time, but wow it has blown me away. Every problem I had with my old mouse is fixed and now enjoyable, 10/10.

Greater than one weekGot this yesterday and have logged several hours on it already playing shooters and while the shape is nothing that new, the sensor is extraordinary. You could perform surgery with this thing. The feel of this mouse isnt quite as solid or quality as I would think but its not that bad. The shape is pretty good but I find I have a hard time finding a comfortable spot for my pinky. Its not a huge deal and nothing that would keep me from using it. Again, the sensor is the best Ive ever used and I presently own literally a dozen gaming mice. I usually buy one ever 4 or 5 months. So comfort Id give this a 7.5 with the DeathAdder being a 10. Build Quality Id also give a 7.5. It doesnt feel cheap but it doesnt feel high quality either. Performance Id give a 10. Easily the best, most accurate sensor on the market and Logitechs gaming software is second to none. So yeah, for $60 this is easily worth it. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayThe new G app is great for re mapping the buttons. Love that. -This is not the same mouse. Its missing the red button indicators. -The mouse is no longer textured in that amazing rubber coating. Its an all plastic design -The wire is much thinner. -The plastic for the shell of the mouse is also thinner and weighs less. -The mouse when connected does not light up. The bottom of the mouse is not that smokey transparent plastic anymore its solid black. You need to really look hard to find the red light. -Its slightly smaller maybe by a few mm or cm but It seems diff. Maybe its not having that grip like before. Good stuff. -It works but you need to download the G app to have the buttons mapped correctly. -You have now full control of your DPi cycles. So you can have 69 - 420 - 1337 - 9999 w/e...You can put 5 and cycle through them with the button. -The finish isnt bad its just not the rubber coating I was looking forward to. Worth it if you want a nice clean mouse without all the flashy design features. Like 50 buttons and super curved buttons with pointy edges. My old one has lasted more than 15 years & I still have it. The rubber is peeling a bit. I am a logitech fan boy because of this mouse and the ELITE keyboards back in the day. Indestructible products I feel this one was a bit of marketing genius but I am happy with the end result.

> 3 dayMy biggest grievance with the mouse is that it became available AFTER I replaced my previous Logitech G4 mouse with a Logitech G403. Now the G403 I bought is a fine mouse, but I had been using that old G4 for like 7 years, and I had grown very accustomed to its shape. This new MX518 has a shape just like my old G4, and therefore I prefer it over my G403, which I now keep as a backup. I suppose the MX518 could be a little better with a braided cable like my G403, but thats really not enough of a detraction for me to not give this 5 stars.
