> 3 dayThis Meross smart plug is an excellent product. I’ve read that many of the other brands such as Wemo lose WiFi connection. This chipset does not. Works as described. No negatives here. I use it with HomeKit on my iphones. Never loses connections. A+ product. Dedicated chipset certified by Apple and Wi-Fi Alliance certification ensure you a stable HomeKit connection. No more disconnection, response timeout, or unreachable issues.

> 3 dayso long story short it works how it should, However I will say connecting it to my HomePod was w bit tricky and took a few mins and a few attempts but could be user error too but just keep in mind. I am very knowledgable about electronics and depending what you plug it into and how well you can see the blinking light it can be a bit of a hassle. however that is my only gripe. they are all connected other teams and they work without issues. If for any reason you loose your Wifi connection and it comes back online you wont have ot worry about these. They automatically reconnect without you having to reset anything. Good buy and affordable.

> 3 dayI have a lot of smart plug switches and this is by far the smallest and easiest to setup. I have the wemo insight and the wemo mini. They were okay to setup. You have to connect to their wifi during the setup process. After that it was pretty straightforward. These have issues with updating. Every time I login to wemo it asks me to update one of them and most of the time the update fails. The ihome was the same size as the wemo mini. It had the worst setup. I was not able to set it up on my android phone and was forested to use an iPhone to get them setup using apple home kit even though I dont use apple then I was able to connect to it with my android. The smallest and easiest to setup was the Meross smart plug. I just plugged it in opened the app and followed the prompts. I didnt have to connect to the Meross wifi. The app did have a strange bug that said the device setup failed Even though it actually successfully was set up. Once I went back to the home screen it showed up no problem. All of these devices are compatible with smartthings which is why I have so many diffent kinds.

> 3 dayI love that these affordable smart outlets are easily compatible with HomeKit. Making your home and appliances smarter with these is so easy! The Meross app is also decently designed, which makes a lot of the initial setup a snap

> 3 dayIm using iphone 11 to install these outlets on a Smartthings hub Im sure Im just a noob, but Ive had enough smart products to notice ones that havent resolved many install concepts. NOTE - you have to have a Meross account for this to work, would have been nice to know before purchase, I would have just bought smartthings outlets to avoid that process. When you install on the iphone using the smartthings app here is what happens. 1. Smartthings tries to connect with meross app (whick you wont have an account) and you cant add a new account here. 2. So then you download the meross app and register a new account. 3. It tells you to select the device in wi-fi. Except, when you do this apple will force you to install this on the apple home, which is not the same as meross app. 4. Once you complete the install on apple home, then you can reload the meross app and find unbound devices and add it there. 5. Then you can go back to smart things and add the item with your account there. I was not able to find these install instructions on meross site, or through the app. It describes a much smoother process that I cant seem to find.

> 3 dayI now have several of these homekit plugs from Meross and am very happy with the ease of install and setup with Homekit...they are very very inexpensive and so far are working great!...One thing to note is on a mesh wifi setup make sure your 2.4ghz wifi band is set to 20mhz width....I previously had it set at 20/40 and that caused all kinds of problems for smart devices like these plugs!

> 3 dayUpdate: Played around with my WiFi network for quite some time - not sure what I did, but my network is working better, and these plugs are now recognized! Still not terribly user-friendly: a second (outdoor) Meross plug was again unresponsive when I tried to set it up in HomeKit, but after a iPhone reboot (why?!) I got that to work too. Had to repeatedly reset the plugs to get them to work, though- Home (in iOS) said Id already set the plugs up, but they were not visible in the app until I reset and went through pairing again. So Ive bumped up my rating to three stars for now. If I find these reliable, I will probably add another star later. ------------- (Original review)----- I thought I’d try these specifically for their advertised HomeKit-compatibility. Spent an hour trying to set one up. Do you follow the (poorly translated and obtuse) instructions included in the package? Or do you follow the instructions in the Meross app? I went for the latter. Plugged in the plug, scanned the QR code, came up in iOS Home on my iPad. Tried linking. Nope, timed out. Tried again with my iPhone. Nope. Tried another plug from the package. Nope. Tried the outdoor Meross plug I had also ordered. Nope. I went through the troubleshooting tips (move your device closer to the plug - umm- closer than the six inches currently?) I have a dual-band, new T-Mobile router. Go into router management and fidget around with my router settings to turn off 5 GHz? I don’t think so. Nothing but aggravation. Maybe I’ll try again next week (when I’ve cooled down) with a different router, but just a waste of my time so far.

Greater than one weekEasy peasy lemon squeezey! Have tried a few other brands in the past and always had issues. These have just been rock solid in HomeKit!

> 3 dayWhen I set these plugs up in October, they worked as advertised. I could not only use Alexa, but Apple Home Kit. Then came a firmware upgrade and a router change. I tried everything suggested on the web to get any of the three plugs to work with Home Kit or Amazon alone. Could not install them in the Meross app. I had another Merosss plug, (non-Home Kit) and it worked fine. I sent in a support ticket, but no response. Spent the better part of two days and a variety of install options but no luck. Back to Amazon they went.

> 3 dayThese smart plugs work great, but be aware that if used with Siri, sometimes, at least with my wifi setup, I have to ask Siri twice to turn off or turn on the lamp attached to the plug in my living room. However, when using Alexa via an Echo Dot, it works flawlessly 100% of the time.
