> 3 dayI previously bought one of these mini smart plugs a year ago, which worked perfectly fine and always connected when I needed to use it. The quality in these plugs took a nose dive though; with these 3 it took a while to connect to the Home app on the iPhone to pair them - I even downloaded the Meross app since it was recommended per the instructions. I lose connectivity to the plugs at least 1x/day, which requires me to open the Meross app and switch the plug off and on until it connects. Its annoying. Spend the money and get the Lutron ones. Youll save yourself a headache.

> 3 daySince I already had the Meross garage door opening, I decided to give the smart outlets a try. The shipping was fast and the set up instructions are simple. Since I already had the Meross app, I went to add a device and it worked on the first try. Then I linked the Meross app to google home and I could easily control the light with my voice.

> 3 dayI think its fair to include my original review below. However, my issues have since been resolved. I will give 4 stars because now that all the devices are working, they do the job exactly as expected. It should be noted that I left my previous review after multiple weeks of repeated troubleshooting, using multiple devices. The one that did set up correctly was set up weirdly and not according to the simple setup instructions. The other two would not configure through the Home app no matter how I tried. After completely giving up, weeks later, I finally received a reply from Meross Support via email. The reply offered absolutely no additional insight and simply re-iterated troubleshooting steps Id already tried. Nevertheless, I decided to try setup again, as theyd asked for a screen recording of the process to aid in troubleshooting. This time, however, both devices which could not be setup previously completed setup through the Home app simply and flawlessly. Literally, the only thing that has changed is that time has passed. But... as things stand, theyre now working as advertised and I no longer need to troubleshoot these. Original review: I purchased this three pack and have only been able to set up one of them. Even that one was tricky, but it behaved differently than the other two. None of them would set up in the Home app initially. Every time, Home fails to add them. For the one that worked, I was able to join my phone to the devices’s WiFi network and set up through the Meross app. Once in the Meross app, it set up through the Home app just fine. The other two force setup through the Home app only and will not complete set up no matter how I try. I have used multiple devices, with different versions of iOS to try this. THEN I reached out to Meross support. TWICE. NO ANSWER. ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE THE INITIAL REQUEST. I will never, ever purchase from Meross again. AVOID this company.

> 3 dayOverall, I am pretty satisfied with these WiFi outlets - except for the one that doesnt seem to work. They are fairly simple to set up (Download the app, hold the on/off button for a few seconds, join the outlets WiFi network, and you are pretty much done. Then, you can easily add the outlet to Apple Home Kit (which Ive found to be very flakey) or Google Home (I dont have any Amazon home automation). And they just work - 2 out of 3 aint too bad.

> 3 dayThese work great and I have purchased 9 of them now. I use them with Apple HomeKit, and control all of my ambient lighting in the house via “scene” in the Home app. One tip when setting these up: Start the setup in the Meross app and not in the Home app like the instructions imply. If you start in the Meross app, it will ask if you want to setup in HomeKit, then it will launch the Home app and you can scan the QR code. I also bought the garage door opener from this same company and it works great! Excellent support from them as well. I would recommend these for anyone using Apple HomeKit.

> 3 dayThese smart plugs are kind of a pain to get set up in HomeKit and the Meross App (needed if you want to integrate Alexa, too) and it felt like I had to reset and scan over and over to get them to finally pop up but once you get them configured, it really is just set it and forget it!! I have mind configured for HomeKit with Siri, so I can yell at my phone from across the room, as well as Alexa so I can speak into my FireTV Stick remote and turn these switches on and off. I also have automations set up with Alexa to turn these on and off at certain times, and it has been working for months without fail. Ive only had one bad incident with a plug and that was during a small storm. The power in my home went out for less than 10 seconds, and one of the Meross Smart Plugs died and will not turn back on. I contacted Meross and they sent me a replacement plug instantly. Great customer service!!

> 3 dayI was very skeptical about these smart plugs, but the 3 pack was on sale for such a good price that I had to try. I’m so glad I did! The plugs were super easy to setup (less than 2 minutes each). I immediately checked out the other products that Meross makes and I’ve already ordered 5 switches and will continue to purchase more switches as I convert the rooms in my house. Most things that seem to good to be true are, but this is a great exception to that rule! Take a chance - you won’t be disappointed!

Just telling it like it is.
> 3 dayThere are three requirements for a smart switch to make for a happy system - ease of installation, basic functionality and stability of wi-fi connection. Since all smart switches seem to come from the same factory, all provide the same functions. These switches were very simple to install using the Apple Homekit app (not the native meross app). Then the downside hit: the wif-fi connection is incredibly instable. The connection dropped constantly, and unlike other brands of switches in our home, they wouldnt/couldnt reconnect unless removed from the power source, then plugged in and cycled through power on/power off. Which means that they cannot provide remote control. Attempting to update firmware through the meross app resulted in failure multiple times. The proposed solution from meross customer service for this mess was changes to router settings. I dont know about you, but putting the connections to security system, thermostat, other smart switches, etc. at risk wasnt going to happen. And giving meross permission to log into our network to run updates (and heavens knows what else), as they requested, was a non-starter. These issues carry over to the meross oudoor switch, so avoid itas well. Im comparing this POS to the other switches in our environment - iDevice and wemo (gens. 2 and 3) - which are far from perfect but heck, I bought those years ago. Unfortunately this is a waste of money and resources and another addition to the junk drawer.

> 3 dayThese smart plugs work great, but be aware that if used with Siri, sometimes, at least with my wifi setup, I have to ask Siri twice to turn off or turn on the lamp attached to the plug in my living room. However, when using Alexa via an Echo Dot, it works flawlessly 100% of the time.
