Ive tried a ton of different HomeKit plugs for automating different things throughout the house and these have been the most reliable Ive found, and theyre also the least expensive. Quick and easy to setup and sync, Meross is actually intelligent enough to put the HomeKit code in a location where it can actually be scanned while plugged in for setup. Im shocked how many companies try to hide the code and end up putting it so its not visible for setup. Save some money, get these, skip the more expensive stuff. The only more reliable IoT products Ive found are Philips Hue bulbs, but theyre super pricey and the product line is pretty much all lighting.

Purchased these plugs for my holiday lights. Pretty easy to use after a few failed attempts at connecting to my Home set up on my phone. The clicking sound isnt terribly loud, but noticeable if in a quiet room, with a slight delay. Overall not bad though, good value as you get two.

I had tried other products to start building our HomeKit that were unreliable and extremely difficult connect and constantly dropping their signal. I ordered these because they had positive reviews and the very day I set them up I ordered more. These plugs are a great addition to provide us with some simple automation that allows us to turn on lights when our hands are full or set certain lights too come on at night so we dont have to come into a dark house. I havent had a single instance where I have had to reconnect any of these outlets and have even picked up a couple of light bulbs which perform WAY more reliably than some brands that cost 3-4 times as much and dont take 20 minutes and 4 tries to connect. I highly recommend Meross brand smart plugs if your looking to start setting up your HomeKit because they are affordable and reliable!

Easy peasy lemon squeezey! Have tried a few other brands in the past and always had issues. These have just been rock solid in HomeKit!

The “Smart Plug Mini” works great with Apple HomeKit. But if it is setup without using the Meross app, firmware updates aren’t possible. The updates are needed for automations in the Home app. The “plug” setup goes back & forth between the Apple Home & Meross apps, but it is necessary. During setup use the Meross app first. You will be instructed to use your iPhone, etc to add the “plug” to your home WiFi. You will then have to use your iPhone, etc camera to scan a symbol on the “plug” so that it can be added to the Home app. If the scan doesn’t work, numbers included in the symbol can be manually entered into your iPhone, etc. When the plug has been setup in the Home app, you will have to return to the Meross app to finish adding the “plug” there. Press the + symbol at the top of the Meross screen, then select “add device”. When a check mark appears next to “add device”, return to the Meross home screen. SWIPE DOWN on the screen for the newly added “plug” to appear. Then go to the Meross system screen to select “firmware update”. I’ve successfully setup 8 “smart plugs” so far using this sequence. The process only took a few minutes for each. With only one “plug” there was a glitch with my phone reading the UPC symbol on the “plug”. It couldn’t initially be added to the Home app, but was added to the Meross app. I deleted the “plug” from the Meross app, closed the Home & Meross apps, then tried the process again. It worked the second time. The “plugs” work perfectly with the Home app and the automations are perfect. I’m using an AppleTV-4K for my home hub. Looking forward to trying other Meross products!

I have been using various versions of these plugs for about 3 years. Over that time, despite excellent wifi coverage, despite firmware updates, they continued to be plagued by connection issues. I had to manually power cycle them multiple times per week. It was extremely frustrating. Some of them would stay connected for months only to have daily connection issues for weeks after that. It was always a game of chance. The problem seemed to get worse the more of them I used. I finally switched to a z-wave + hub based smart plug at a much higher cost and have had 0 connection issues since. I give these a solid 2 stars, because if you have 1-2 in your home they work ok, and they are very cheap, but they are otherwise a nightmare.

I actually own seven of these Meross MSS-110 smart plugs. I use them mostly for lights and fans. Given they can handle 16 amps, I also use one to run my pool pump on a time schedule! Of course its located inside a weather-proof enclosure under my pool deck - but it is still a good distance (20 feet outside the house) and usually never drops below 50% wifi signal strength... which is amazing! The Meross app is very easy to use. I also have 2 of the Meross garage openers. All plugs and openers are controlled from a single (Android) phone app. Once you add the Meross skill to Alexa, these plugs are easy to control through Alexa voice commands and routines (like time schedules). Once you add a new device to the Meross app, Alexa automatically recognizes and adds the same device. If you name it light Alexa will group them into the lights group as well. Adding a new device in the Meross app is easy as it will remember the wifi settings used previously to add a new device, so setup on each plug is under a minute! In summary these are great smart plugs at a good price. They have a STRONG wifi signal range, and work reliably. If the power goes out, they will restore the same state (on or off) as before the power dropped... also nice!

Buggy. Requires registering with your email address to use app or update firmware. Switches power on and off multiple times during setup. Loses automations when updating the firmware. Doesn’t see HomeKit devices without adding to the app multiple times. Loses connection to WiFi when router reboots. Lacks power usage meter feature common on competing HomeKit power plugs.

These work great and I have purchased 9 of them now. I use them with Apple HomeKit, and control all of my ambient lighting in the house via “scene” in the Home app. One tip when setting these up: Start the setup in the Meross app and not in the Home app like the instructions imply. If you start in the Meross app, it will ask if you want to setup in HomeKit, then it will launch the Home app and you can scan the QR code. I also bought the garage door opener from this same company and it works great! Excellent support from them as well. I would recommend these for anyone using Apple HomeKit.

I have had this product for almost a year and I would say it works 25% of the time. Once it is connected to your Apple Home its nearly impossible to maintain any connection. I am always running into the issue where it says No Response on my iPhone when trying to turn them on or off. Extremely disappointed with this product.
