> 3 dayAfter looking through a ton of reviews looking for the quick and easy way to get this plug connected I was left in the dark. I tried emailing Minoston but that also failed as a they have a hidden captcha field that you cant access. I must have played with this thing for over an hour until I finally got it to connect. What I did in many different orders, Unplug the device (10seconds or so) plug it back in and hold down the button until it flashes bright white (fast). I also added the switch using the Socket (other). If this is your first time adding any kind of smart device you have to be on a 2.4 Ghz wifi signal. For the rest of you I had auto completed my Pw to make this step go faster. click next and then look back at your plug to make sure its still blinking bright. If not, start over. I must have done this step 20 times. I held down the button even after it was blinking bright as it seemed like it would blink longer if I held it. try to connect the plug again. I also, at some point, went into the settings on the smart home app and allowed Bluetooth to run behind the scenes. If you do this as soon as you push the plus (add) button at the top of the app (and the plug is blinking bright) the plug will actually show up for you and you dont need to choose socket (other). Again I did this at least 20+ times. On my last attempt where it did finally connect, I was holding the button down and it was pairing (previously timing out). when the plug stopped blinking I hit the button again to power it on, then again to power it off. I went to hold down the button again (to get it back into a blinking state) and the app said the plug paired successfully. I was starting to have doubts but it will in fact work with the smart home app. BTW I am on a Pixel 7 Pro After this was all typed up, I think I had a lose outlet. Plugged into a different outlet the smart plug seems less troublesome. Almost like there was a short in the smart plug. Turns out it was the plug I was using. Good Luck

> 3 dayI bought a two pack of these and although they are pretty rugged on the outside, I was a bit concerned with the level of waterproofing at first glance, especially considering I live in lovely WA state where theres more rain than sun lol... My solution, a TEARDOWN, of course! :) so upon further investigation once opened up, it was clear to me that at least for my purposes, the waterproofing would be inadequate - not a problem though! I grabbed a tube of clear RTV silicone and got to work lathering up all the seams, screws and the buttons and even the pcb itself, along w anywhere else that looked like water could make its way in (I did all of this from the inside of the item, fyi, that way its much more tightly sealed and still looks stock from the outside) Once finished, I put it back together and tested her out and it works great! Happy to report it is now sufficiently waterproof (even with about 1 foot of full submersion! Though I wouldnt recommend anyone attempting this while connected to power! I certainly did not and would not! Simply a test, thats all!) All-in-all I think this is an awesome product, made even better now of course! And Im sure I voided any warranty immediately by doing this but I dont care, the product worked beforehand and works even better now.... Please note, if you attempt to do something like this yourself, you do so at your own risk! I take no responsibility for what you may do with your products, I am solely reviewing mine and explaining the alterations necessary for it to work with MY needs. Have a great day! Cheers!

> 3 dayThis is a great device for an outdoor timer. One of the easiest setups I’ve experienced. Very durable and highly reliable. Lastly, adding additional devices makes setup even easier. This will be my go to device for the foreseeable future.
