I bought this simply to control an outdoor light. Setup wasnt terribly difficult. It worked perfect for about 3 weeks and then just quit. I think maybe being out in the elements may have something to do with the shortened life. Anyway now after less then a month its usesless.

I am on my 4th timer. Two are located outdoors and work great. The next is for my indoor 75 gallon gas water heater. I have this smart plug controlling the power to the AO Smith water heater. It is like an on/off switch when I am away. I turn it on before we get home from traveling and we have hot water. The 4th replaced a mechanical time on a large outdoor low voltage power unit. The programs are easy as well. Every plug can have its own set by hour and day.

I used both the double outlet (MP23W) and single outlet (MP22W) products by Minoston to control Christmas lights in several parts of my yard. The setup was painless--I used the Android app to connect to the outlets and subsequently connect them to my router. Setting up timing routines was also fairly easy once I worked out the not entirely intuitive UI of the app. These will also register with Google Home if thats what you want. Oh, and theyve handled living outside in the Wisconsin winter with no issues whatsoever.

I used rhia for my pool pump. I guess its to much for it and started to melt. Still works but for how long?

Overall a nice product, gets very hot managing my pool pump though so I’d keep it outside for anything drawing current att the top end of its rating.

Connected to my phone or Alexa, I can turn on my Christmas lights remotely from anywhere. These are sealed against the weather (it rains here a lot) and doesn’t fail to turn my lights on and off. Also the application to control them has many wonderful features to automate light control.

I installed this to control my outdoor fountain. I was tired of trying to dial in the old manual timer and guess whether I had the times approximately right. With this, it works perfectly. I can time the fountain to go off when the lights do and come on at a specific time in the morning. I can also use it as a remote control to turn off the fountain when the wind is high and it’s blowing all the water out of it. I read some reviews that indicated the WiFi reception is poor. That’s not been my experience. I connected it to WiFi inside the house before moving it to the outdoor receptacle. Pairing is simple by downloading the app, setting it in pairing mode by holding down the power button for 5 sec, then the app auto discovers the device. Enter your WiFi password and you’re set. I love this device. Really easy to use, the app is great (looks a lot like my SmartLife app) and entering timing programs is intuitive and fast. Two thumbs up!

I have a lot of smart switches in my home but I needed one that would fit in an outdoor socket that I could close the protective lid on securely. This was perfect because the plug and the cord is long enough to do the job. I set it up and it worked right away. But a few days later when I asked Alexa to turn it on and it would not work. It refused to find the plug. I tried and tried and tried. Finally I just deleted the app and started over again with the installation process and this time it magically worked and Im happy to report that its been a couple months and it is still talking to Alexa.

Only issue I had was setup, could not figure out the Bluetooth, first one took forever. Second plug, for some reason the Bluetooth got activated, and was a snap

No problems setting dusk/dawn indexed or clock time operations. Even at a distance from the router it generally is visible and controllable. Network integration was relatively quick and easy.
