Easy to set up and worked exactly as described.

I control most of my fans and lighting using The “Smart Life App”…. Both indoor and outdoor. I use a duel band router. I took “Smart Plug” out of the box plugged it in, told Smart Life to add device. Smart Life found “Smart Plug” and connected to in less then 30 seconds… the Smart Life App also connected the Smart Plug to Alexa automatically. I am telling you this a less then 2 min project…

Use this in my garage to turn on and off outdoor 12V lighting. Was very easy to set up on Alexa and then to put on a routine. Now lights go on and off automatically without a trip to the garage. Does not require a hub - Alexa app can recognize plug as an individual device.

I purchased this product because it said heavy duty WATERPROOF outdoor plug compatible with Alexa. First of all, you can only set the device up using a 2.4 ghz network (not a more common 5 ghz). Then the instructions say it will work in moist environments but to avoid direct rain. Hello? Its an OUTDOOR plug! I ended up giving it 4 stars because once I managed to set it up and placed a plastic baggy over the device outside it appears to be working fine.

This switch is awesome! Just a few, random connectivity issues so far, but... that doesnt really impact me for my purposes. BUT...I want to append to the review by J. Salmi in using Smart Life or Minoston app. After installing either app, I still could not get the bluetooth working for automatic adding. On my Galaxy S20 Android phone, I went into the settings for each app and found that Nearby Devices was not being allowed. NO IDEA why neither app didnt default this or ask me to do so. Once I manually allowed the permission of Nearby Devices, each app immediately identified and installed this Plug entry. (note that you can only use 1 of these apps as the other will have the entry removed). Thanks J. Salmi for your help in spite of all that frustration! :)

This is a great device for an outdoor timer. One of the easiest setups I’ve experienced. Very durable and highly reliable. Lastly, adding additional devices makes setup even easier. This will be my go to device for the foreseeable future.

If you just want a simple switch that is very easy to use, this is it. Not nearly as complicated as other types I have owned.

I use this on a bottled water cooler/heater to turn it off at night and reduce energy consumption. This unit was chosen because of rated 15 amp capacity and it seems to be working well.

Ive been using this smart outlet for about a month now for cafe lights on my patio, and Ive been happy so far. The dimming feature works well, and the outlet seems durable. Note that the cord is angled, so it can be a little tricky to plug in under a weather protector or in tight spaces. I chose this specific outlet because it was rated as more water-resistant than others in the same price range. According to the instructions, it can handle damp conditions but shouldnt be exposed to large amounts of water; unfortunately, my patio isnt covered, so even though the outlet looks fairly waterproof, I decided to play it safe and rig up a simple cover over the outlet area to protect it from rain and hose spray. Setup was easier than I expected, though it took several steps. I installed the manufacturers app and connected the outlet to my phone via Bluetooth, then I was able to connect the outlet to my wifi network and link it with my existing smart device system for centralized control.
