Plugged everything in, and it just works. Installed the app, and that worked great too. Had an issue with Alexa not controlling it at first, but after clearing the Alexa app cache, and restarting my phone, it now works. The design flaw is that the loop to hang it by is on the wrong side. My outlet is down low, and my lights are up high(which I think would be typical) , but when you hang the unit, the power in is at the top, and the out is at the bottom. Not a real big deal, but just something that could have been designed better.

Needed a flat plug for my outside outlet in order to be able to close the cover. Had to return.

I had a little problem connecting to the WIFI, but it was because I wasn’t connecting to the 2.4GHz. The App works great, but connecting to Alexa only worked for one day. I’m happy with it.

This is a great device for an outdoor timer. One of the easiest setups I’ve experienced. Very durable and highly reliable. Lastly, adding additional devices makes setup even easier. This will be my go to device for the foreseeable future.

Connected to my phone or Alexa, I can turn on my Christmas lights remotely from anywhere. These are sealed against the weather (it rains here a lot) and doesn’t fail to turn my lights on and off. Also the application to control them has many wonderful features to automate light control.

It has done everything I wanted it to do. I use it for our outdoor fountain. I can effortlessly turn the fountain off and on when I want to.

Set up instructions dont explain Smart Life App, but it works. Connect your smart phone to the 2.4GHz network you want the plug to connect to. Open the Smart Life App and click + to add device. Plug in the smart plug. If the white LED isnt blinking, then push and hold the on/off switch for more than 5 seconds. Release the button and it should connect in 10 or 15 seconds. Instructions state not to expose it to rain, but it is IP65 rated. Ill risk it.

I purchased this to use on an engine block heater for use in the wintertime. It’s heavy duty enough to handle for that purpose. It’s very nice sine it can be programmed and one can use the app to turn on remotely. If I know there is going to be a bunch of snow to move when I get home - I just open the app wherever and turn on the heater a few hours before so would get home - to a nice and easy to start tractor. (Wifi needed) The only downfall if the app. While great for turning on and off, programming it for automatic schedules is very confusing and could be made easier.

So this plug does what it says. Allows me to run a pump when needed from anywhere (with internet). The instructions were awful and getting this connected was about as frustrating as anything Ive ever done in my life - and no Im not exaggerating.
