Greater than one weekThis is a great device for an outdoor timer. One of the easiest setups I’ve experienced. Very durable and highly reliable. Lastly, adding additional devices makes setup even easier. This will be my go to device for the foreseeable future.

Greater than one weekIve never done an Amazon review so fast, but theres a reason: I got this this morning in the mail and opened and connected it within only a few minutes. Theres a nice quick instructions with just a few pages. I was already close to do the normal WiFi set-up, but then noticed the Quick-Fit Bluetooth connect hint. First I thought this was instead of the Wifi connection, but its just the set-up and its much easier than the full WiFi set-up. The connection has been established in seconds and already works outside in my patio. The Dimming is great and it looks it has good connectivity, even though its not too far away from the router, but some other smart plugs had their problems at this location, but not this one. So for me its actually working absolute perfect, it looks sturdy, its small and easy to connect, but theres just one thing: the scheduling (which is actually pretty easy to do) cannot be used to change the dimming level. So you cant have a schedule for the morning with low light and one for the evening with stronger light. The dimming can be changed within the app easily and even with google assistant and Alexa, but definitely not in the schedule so it will turn on in the schedule with the last dimming level it had before - whatever it was. It would be great if they could add this feature in the future and then it would be absolutely perfect.

> 3 dayPlugged everything in, and it just works. Installed the app, and that worked great too. Had an issue with Alexa not controlling it at first, but after clearing the Alexa app cache, and restarting my phone, it now works. The design flaw is that the loop to hang it by is on the wrong side. My outlet is down low, and my lights are up high(which I think would be typical) , but when you hang the unit, the power in is at the top, and the out is at the bottom. Not a real big deal, but just something that could have been designed better.

Greater than one weekWe had an old outdoor fountain that didnt have a power switch, you just had to plug it in and unplug it. With this, we can turn the fountain on using the switch on the device. Even better, my husband set it up with our lights that are also wifi compatible, and all we have to say is, Alexa, turn on the patio. and the lights and fountain are all on together. Love it.

> 3 dayAfter looking through a ton of reviews looking for the quick and easy way to get this plug connected I was left in the dark. I tried emailing Minoston but that also failed as a they have a hidden captcha field that you cant access. I must have played with this thing for over an hour until I finally got it to connect. What I did in many different orders, Unplug the device (10seconds or so) plug it back in and hold down the button until it flashes bright white (fast). I also added the switch using the Socket (other). If this is your first time adding any kind of smart device you have to be on a 2.4 Ghz wifi signal. For the rest of you I had auto completed my Pw to make this step go faster. click next and then look back at your plug to make sure its still blinking bright. If not, start over. I must have done this step 20 times. I held down the button even after it was blinking bright as it seemed like it would blink longer if I held it. try to connect the plug again. I also, at some point, went into the settings on the smart home app and allowed Bluetooth to run behind the scenes. If you do this as soon as you push the plus (add) button at the top of the app (and the plug is blinking bright) the plug will actually show up for you and you dont need to choose socket (other). Again I did this at least 20+ times. On my last attempt where it did finally connect, I was holding the button down and it was pairing (previously timing out). when the plug stopped blinking I hit the button again to power it on, then again to power it off. I went to hold down the button again (to get it back into a blinking state) and the app said the plug paired successfully. I was starting to have doubts but it will in fact work with the smart home app. BTW I am on a Pixel 7 Pro After this was all typed up, I think I had a lose outlet. Plugged into a different outlet the smart plug seems less troublesome. Almost like there was a short in the smart plug. Turns out it was the plug I was using. Good Luck

> 3 dayOne doesn’t need to be a rocket scientist to setup and work these. I know some have remembered the commercial “ even a caveman can do this.” It works and even with Alexa.

> 3 dayMy house was built in the 1980s by an electrical engineer. He installed low voltage switches that operate relays to control the light fixtures. As a result, the fixtures controlled by these low voltage switches cant be dimmed, since they are only indirectly controlling the fixture/lighting. Thanks to these devices, however, I can not only dim my fixtures, but I can do that simply by telling my Alexa dot to do that for me. I hardwired two of these devices into the relay panel so that they control the fixture wiring directly. I leave the relay-operated switch on (relay energized) and using either the Alexa app or the app that comes with these devices control the fixtures. Works great!

> 3 dayNo problems setting dusk/dawn indexed or clock time operations. Even at a distance from the router it generally is visible and controllable. Network integration was relatively quick and easy.

18-11-2024If you just want a simple switch that is very easy to use, this is it. Not nearly as complicated as other types I have owned.
