I love these things - super simple to set up - great range We have 4, including one in my detached, steel construction shop.

I have an appliance that Ive used a 10A rated relay to turn on and off for years. With an identical 10A rating, I expected this MP21ZP to work as well. However, when I first turned it on, it went pop and does not work at all (it doesnt even show as online on the Z-wave network). To be fair, the specs on the MP21ZP are clear that its 10A rating is for resistive loads only, but I honestly thought it would work fine on a 2A motor. Nope; its now completely dead. Setup with Smartthings was a bit frustrating, since it seems to want to set itself up as a S2 security-enabled device, but it doesnt have a boarcode or printed code - you need to abort that part of the setup in Smarthings and wait until Smarthings recovers. A clunky way to add a node. Ive replaced it with an Enbrighten switch, which is working great in my application.

S2 authentication works on 700 series but can be difficult to setup

Using it outdoors in patio and it works well without any issues. Remote smart access is a big plus for this device.

This appears to be a Inovelli rebadged product. Which is a good thing because they have a sterling reputation. Im using this with Home Assistant + OpenZwave integration. Pairing was a cinch as are controls within HA. The device exposes itself as 3 devices + 4 entities (3 plugs(???) + 1 Zwave repeater). Im not sure why theres a 3rd plug being exposed, but 2 of them seem to control the right outlet. Its pretty easy to disable the unused entity in HA, so not a big deal. As for repeating, my network is refusing to heal and route though the plug. Its unclear if this is a problem with the plug or my end devices. Im assuming its the latter, so 5 stars for the time being. Ill update this if it turns out to be the plug.

A great little Z-Wave smart plug. I bought 8 over the course of 2022 to use throughout the house. Unfortunately, one of them has since malfunctioned and resets each time it is plugged in instead of retaining settings. Ive read that Minoston has great and responsive customer support, so Im waiting to hear back after reaching out and will update the review accordingly.

$29 and separate control of 2 different items. Not bad. Half the price of 2 separate units, and only uses one outlet. Was quickly paired in Vera, but shows up as 3 items. So far only tested, and have not put it in daily use yet. But paired and both channels, or switches work well in Vera. Not sure what the 3rd one is, I consider one a parent device, and the other two are offspring. I just labelled them ans duel switch (the parent), duel switch 1 and duel switch 2, and I only use 1 and 2. The parent just does what #1 does. I thought it might turn both off and on, but it doesnt. Might be a Vera issue, but it is a unique switch, so it might have some quirks in any system. The button on the front turns them both off and on, 1 tap turns 1 on and off, 2 taps turns the other one on and off. Overall, a good value, and cleaner install only using 1 outlet.

After many trials and errors with other plugs, this is my favorite and most reliable plug that works with my SmartThings hub! Others may be less expensive but you get what you pay for (headaches) with the others...

Works well and provides a lot of data, but doesnt like certain loads. I plugged a shredder into it and tripped the protection every time. Only way to reset the protection is to unplug and re-plug it, so you may not want to use this plug for anything thats hard to get to. My use case was to monitor a dishwasher, so I took a chance and its been fine for weeks. I think it was just the motor startup in the shredder that tripped the protection, and normal loads shouldnt bother it.

Great product, so far. Easy to integrante with Home Asistant. The energy monitor feature is an additional bonus.
