> 3 dayI do not use Alexa and have not used these outside since they are not rated for wet situations. I can therefore not speak to those options. I use the Universal Devices ISY994 hub that supports ZWave. It was easy to add these plugs to the system and the interface allowed for updating the parameter settings to adjust how the plugs work. Once setup it was easy to use the plugs in programs and turn them on and off. I specifically ordered these plugs for their Energy Monitoring function and this is where I have an issue. Out of the box, these plugs flood your network with usage updates every second and each time it sends 3 notices(Notices for voltage, amperage and wattage). According to the documentation you can change this behavior to only notify you if the change is more x number specified from the last notice or to update ingo every x seconds. I could never get this to work on either of the plugs I had. This in not the biggest problem. The plugs also protection built in for voltage fluctuation, current and wattage. This sounds good. I had a roomba plugged in and was trying to monitor/record energy usage while the roomba was charging. The roomba would return to the dock and start charging and within 2-3 minutes the plugs would turn of with a over current protection message. Switching it back on was not an option. I had to reset the switch using the power button process. I have another plug from another manufacturer that also captures energy consumption. Wanting to make sure there was not something wrong with the roomba I plugged it into this unit. It showed the batteries charging at a rate way below the value needed to trip the current overage protection. I then tried the second plug thinking it may be an issue with a single plug. It had the same behavior. I have not returned the plugs as I am trying to figure out what I can use tem for but I will not buy more and cannot recommend buying the Minoston Z-Wave Plug with Energy Monitoring

16-11-2024World OK on my Z Wave controller albeit slower than other light modules. Should have sent these two back, but they worked so I kept em. Then just yesterday BOTH the indoor modules Model MP21ZD failed for no good reason. Both show as failed on my controller without means of recovery. They work locally with the button. Exchange if I can... Buy a different brand would be my recommendation to you. THREE STARS. The built-in repeater may also have failed as my other unit in the same room appears to depend on the network working. I tried to find out what options Amazon Support would provide... Answer: nothing, if not within 4 months as stated on their order page! Found out that the foreign manufacturer doesnt answer Amazon either for 24H. After filing a report on their web site, looking for refund from Amazon Support. I went ahead and removed the units and reinstalled them which should have reset the units as well. I suspect this will fail again.

> 3 dayIt is, what it is. Works just as it should except the range is poor for a 7 series Z Wave device.

> 3 dayI tried several times to pair, couldnt get it working with S2. It falls off the Z-wave network frequently. Other nodes on my network are fine.

Greater than one weekThis is my fourth of these z-wave 2 channel switches. This time I purchased an Amazon Warehouse unit. It was listed as being Like New and in the original package. It was sort of in the original package (the outer sleeve was missing as were the instructions and the protective plastic inner package). I will admit it did not look like there was any damage and had a new type appearance, but it was clear that someone had previously linked it with their hub. The instruction sheet was not in the package. Because I had purchased three of these before I had an instruction sheet and was able to read how to do a factory reset (press button twice quickly and then on third press hold for over 10 seconds). Once reset, the unit went into pairing mode and I was able to connect it with my Smartthings hub. Once linked with the Smartthings hub it identified both plugs and I was able to set them us as desired. As some have indicated, when I purchase my first one of these Smartthings had a little difficulty identifying both plugs, but with a little work the right drivers were found and I was able to independently control both ports. I have not had any issues with any of them dropping out or mysteriously turning themselves on or off. Their low profile and dual port design is why I purchased them.

> 3 dayThis appears to be a Inovelli rebadged product. Which is a good thing because they have a sterling reputation. Im using this with Home Assistant + OpenZwave integration. Pairing was a cinch as are controls within HA. The device exposes itself as 3 devices + 4 entities (3 plugs(???) + 1 Zwave repeater). Im not sure why theres a 3rd plug being exposed, but 2 of them seem to control the right outlet. Its pretty easy to disable the unused entity in HA, so not a big deal. As for repeating, my network is refusing to heal and route though the plug. Its unclear if this is a problem with the plug or my end devices. Im assuming its the latter, so 5 stars for the time being. Ill update this if it turns out to be the plug.

> 3 dayI got two of these to sit one above the other on the same electrical panel. Unfortunately, they are a little too tall to be able to fit on the same panel. The dimmer works perfectly well, and it paired quickly with my Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant. It has both power and temperature monitoring, which is nice. Had they fit next to each other on the panel, it would have been an easy 5 stars.

> 3 dayI got these in a 2-pack since they are one of the smaller Z-Wave Plus dimmer plug on the market. The first plug I installed using the SmartThings app in scan mode, and was able to use the QR code to add it with S2 security, however the device was listed as a Siren and had none of the dimmer functions in SmartThings. The AMZ product page makes a reference to having to use a special device handler, but there is no link to it and a web search only finds a sketchy reference to a site that requires a credit card to download. I was able to fix the device by going to the SmartThings Groovy IDE and editing the device (changing the type from SmartAlert Siren to Dimmer Switch. When I added the second plug to my system, it showed up as a Z Wave generic switch and again I had to edit it to be a dimmer. Now both plugs are working properly (on/off/dim).

> 3 dayI turned my power off today to replace a couple outlets, when I turned the power back on the dimmer was dead. Ive tried unplugging and plugging it back in, pressing the button, holding the button, changing outlets, etc. It does absolutely nothing now, so in the garbage it goes. Update: I figured it wouldnt hurt, so hit the dimmer against a solid surface a handful of times and tried it again. It worked. I dont know what that did, or what caused it to stop functioning, but its been working since then.
