> 3 dayAdded very quickly and easily with Home Assistant with zwavejs2mqtt. Basically all I had to do was begin inclusion on zwavejs2mqtt, plugged the device in and it was included within a couple of seconds. Very quick to respond. I had to change the LED function as the LED was on when its switched off. I have it in my bedroom so I dont want anything glowing while Im trying to sleep. The only reason I removed a star was because it doesnt support the transition function while turning on which allows it to slowly brighten to whatever percentage you tell it, so it doesnt blind you in the morning by rapidly going to 100% brightness.

> 3 dayFrustrating little thing. I’ve got around 100 devices in my z-wave network so I’ve had my share of tricky devices to pair. This one takes the cake. I set out to pair this with my SmartThings (Aeotec, the latest) hub. Followed the instructions for the custom device handler, attempting several factory resets, exclusion mode from my network, inclusion mode from right next to my gateway, trying scan mode pairing vs the QR code first... nothing was working. Finally, after a couple hours of trying, the device decided to respond to the inclusion request and join the network… but it wouldn’t update its status to the hub. It would react to commands and turn on, dim, etc, but never report back that they were completed so the app would always show the switch as still turned off. Removed it and re-paired it (this time It only took about a half hour of constantly retrying), and now it’s working fine. After all this, though, wondering how it’ll hold up! I’d recommend buying a different dimmer that plays nicer with z-wave!

> 3 dayNeeds better instructions especially if you want to pair this model with the manufacturers app. But once you get it working its pretty solid and a good value.

> 3 dayA great little Z-Wave smart plug. I bought 8 over the course of 2022 to use throughout the house. Unfortunately, one of them has since malfunctioned and resets each time it is plugged in instead of retaining settings. Ive read that Minoston has great and responsive customer support, so Im waiting to hear back after reaching out and will update the review accordingly.

> 3 dayI was looking for an easy and affordable way to add my low voltage lighting systems in the yard to my Vivint hub to control. I got my installer code from Vivint and plugged in both devices and with three quick clicks they added to my Vivint system without any problems. Now my LV lighting is part of my smart home system with very little cost or effort. Ill definitely buy more of these as I continue to add more devices.

> 3 dayOn the good side, the product is cheap enough that I didnt spend a lot of time trying to figure out who screwed up. So I guess I cant complain about their return process (or UPS or Fedex or USPS, whomever it was). The bad news is that it was supposed to trip on over-current, and instead, that one unit went toes to the wind. Maybe it was just a dud, maybe I shouldnt have been placing an 8 amp load on it (though it was rated 10 amps), but maybe the product generally doesnt handle over-currents as well as advertised.

17-11-2024I have 2 Rasbperry Pi Zeros monitoring a bird nest and I bought this so I could easily remotely power-cycle the RPi Zeros if I needed to. Their plug is about 15 feet up, so inconvenient to reach and I wouldnt want to go up there anyway while the birds are nesting. However, it turns out that this device makes it unreliable because it is too sensitive to errors and requires a power cycle to reset the error condition. The problem started when, after working fine for a week, one day the cameras were gone. Homeseer said the device reported an overcurrent condition and apparently it turned itself off. The Raspberry Pis and cameras draw maybe 15 watts, so theres no way they would cause an overcurrent condition. I couldnt figure out any reset the error condition other than power cycling. Everything worked after that. The birds left the nest and, using this, I turned the Raspberry Pis off. However, sometime later, I noticed the blinking blue light, and now it reports an overvoltage condition and has apparently disabled itself again. We had some big thunderstorms, so conceivably there was a power surge. Im happy that it detected problems, but I dont like that a power cycle seems to be the only way to make it operational again. It would be nice if it would re-enable itself once the error condition has cleared so transient conditions dont knock you offline. Alternatively, provide a way of clearing the error condition from the home automation software.

> 3 dayI bought 4. 1 was intermittent and then fully dead within a few weeks. Another just died. Seller has replaced units, and I am happy. As far as getting paired with your Z-Wave Hub, make sure you have a load attached to the switch -- in other words, give it something to be doing/controlling before starting the pairing process.

> 3 dayI bought four of these at the beginning of November. Two of them failed in late December. Minoston Support was extremely helpful and responsive and replaced the failed units promptly. That said, I like the product. It failed, so I cant give it five stars, but Im satisfied.
