> 24 hourI am not a bush crafter but love camping and this knife has worked very well. It has a very sharp spine for use with a ferro rod or scraping fatwood and it works well for small batoning jobs. Have used it on several multi day camping trips and the edge has held up well enough and the knife has performed superbly. I do recommend sharpening the knife when it arrives, mine was reasonably sharp but not to my satisfaction.

> 24 hourI really like the simplistic sophistication of the knife as a whole. If James Bond would carry a small fixed blade, it would be this knife. I can’t say enough good things about it. I wanted this knife for about 1 1/2 years. I have no idea why I waited so long. Twenty seconds after opening the box, I knew that I would order the stainless model as well with the leather sheath in a few days! It doesn’t come sharp out the box as the blade was painted after a so-so edge was applied. But, as a collector, I’m leaving the blade as is. Get it if you always wanted it!

> 24 hourThe Morakniv Garberg is a BEAST. Batoning, carving, fire-steel striking, food prep, you name it and it does it. 1095 steel may not be the sexiest blade material anymore (if ever) but in this knife, with Moras heat treatmet, it does a fantastic job. And it might not be the One Knife for a SHTF situation - but itd be close. However, if you want a high quality blade for camping/bushcraft/outdoor activities without maxing out the credit card this is a very good choice. The Mora Garberg carbon: Buy it. You wont be disappointed.

> 24 hourGarberg Carbon Steel, poly sheath, 08Dec2022. Looks factory grind (w micro-bevel), but arrived surprisingly not sharp (def not what I expected, not dull, but way short of sharp). Price dipped on Amazon, so grabbed one, but prob got 1 of some kind of mass production I guess, hence the drop in price (sharpness?). Still a great full-tang, and was planning to re-profile anyway, so factory edge maybe not so important. Grip is okay, wish the hilt/hand guard was more pronounced. Unlike Companion, Garberg is ambi-dexterous in poly sheath. Note that the Hypalon belt loop (included) is the only way to attach knife/sheath to a belt/molle in this configuration. I will definitely need to replace/mod that, it will never hold up. So, wait for a good price, consider re-profiling, and search for custom sheaths. At least thats what I did, or am doing. -JD
