Greater than one weekDo I like the Garberg? Yes. I do think that it’s a little on the heavy side. It is also a little more pricey than I feel it’s worth. I do like the design but I also openly admit I cannot stand the stupid Scandivex / micro bevel on the very edge. I feel this is completely pointless and ruins the aspect of it being a Scandi design.

> 3 dayBought Carbon steel unit for ease of sharpening in the field. MOLLE scabbard can be painted, if desired.

> 3 dayAbsolutely fantastic Bushcraft/survival knife. Well built and mines been beaten to every way possible and still retakes a fine edge with little work.

> 3 dayThis carbon steel Garberg knife was long awaited by Morakniv customers. It was first produced in stainless Sandvik steel; the carbon version took longer to set up manufacturing processes, and Morakniv wanted to get it right. At first, its a bit hard to take these knives seriously, as they greatly resemble what youd call a kitchen knife. However, the steel is much thicker, the blade is much sharper and the grip is simply outstanding. I have a Benchmade Bushcrafter, and while that is a great bush craft and all-around knife, I think the Garberg is better. Why? The Garbergs handle is much easier to hold, and--lets face it--after a particularly nasty field dressing job, its much easier to clean a rubberized handle than one made of G10 scales. This is not a fighting knife--it is designed for the 99% of jobs that knives really do. Yes, you could even baton with it, if youre not savvy enough to bring an axe or portable saw into the deep woods. You can order it with either the Molle-attachable sheath or a leather sheath. You can also order a dangler that will allow you to put the Molle-compatible sheath on your belt. In my humble opinion, this is one of the very best woods knives on the market. If I could take only one knife to the woods, this would be it!

> 3 dayJust received this Mora and was hugely disappointed to find the snap strap is too tight - wont quite reach the button to snap itself in. Result is that the knife is not secure in its sheath. Would not use with molle as knife could slip out from pack - or be pulled out by someone walking behind you. Knife looks excellent though, so may exchange for the one w/leather sheath.

> 3 dayI’ve wanted this knife since it came out finally got it originally got it for my bug out bag. Fell in love as soon as I opened it. Loved it so much had to get another one for my big out bag and one for regular bushcraft and backpack use ignore bad reviews especially the one about the handle. I do like micarta handle scales but overtime they separate and when wet they stay wet big no no for carbon Steel also heard a complaint about the sheath. Sheath is poly or plastic very good for carbon steel there is a leather sheath option but if you know knifes and know steal. You can’t really store a knife in a leather sheath it will rust and can potentiometer hold moisture in damp environments. All around this knife is great for the price and quality can’t find a multipurpose knife that can beat it like it better than my gerber strong arm like it better than my essee 5 like it better than my Ontario rd6! Huge supporter of mora for the quality I’ve seen benchmade knifes 5 times the price with worse quality. BUY THIS KNIFE

> 3 day.... but if you don’t know how to sharpen a knife, then why are you bothering to buy a knife? Sharpens up nicely, and quickly, good grippy handle, nice wide tang. Mighty fine knife.
