Morakniv Garberg Full Tang Fixed Blade Knife with Carbon Steel Blade
-
Blade Hunter
> 3 dayJust bought my first Mora. Chose the Garberg. I like full tang and carbon steel. Bought the ferro rod survival attachment later. The Garberg is everything I thought it would be. Strong knife and handles well. Sharp out of the box, but needs a touch up after some use. Got the Eldriss the next week. Handy knife razor sharp.

> 3 dayDo not buy the Morakniv Garberg full tang fixed blade with the poly sheath because, the knife falls out of the sheath. The regular poly sheath will not secure the knife from falling out. This is true on both the carbon and the stainless steel Morakniv Garberg full tang fixed blade knife. I own both the carbon and the stainless-steel models of the Morakniv Garberg full tang fixed blade knife. I get the same result with both. The knife just falls out of the regular poly sheath. The regular poly sheath will not secure the knife. Shame on you Moarakniv company for even offering a sheath and knife combination that you knew would not hold the knife securely. And this is supposedly your “Top of the line” offering. This price point you should have a superior base line sheath that will hold the knife under any conditions. About the Morakniv Garberg full tang fixed blade knives themselves. I own both the stainless-steal and carbon models. What can be said that has not already been said by other reviewers. The knives are built well and should last a lifetime. I really enjoy using them and will use them for years. The knife itself is why I am giving it 5 stars. The sheath is obviously not of any value.

> 3 daySharp right out of the box. Did some batoning and feather sticks. Works great. Feels a little awkward pulling out of sheath but may be a learning process. A good portion of the handle is down into the sheath so I can’t get a full grip on it out of the sheath.

> 3 dayThere is nothing to say bad about this Mora knife.. it’s razor sharp straight out of the box.(as they always are) The build quality is amazing and the 90 degree spins throws some serious sparks from my ferrocerium rod! A great cutting tool to add to any kit! A must have for an outdoor enthusiasts! If your on the fence about getting this knife, don’t be! Don’t climb or fall over it.. run and pole fault over it and get it! It’s worth every penny and with proper care will last you and your family a lifetime of great service!

> 3 dayThis knife is absolutely wonderful, I am not a bush crafter beyond making feather sticks but it is a true pleasure to use. Beefy with high carbon steel it is a pleasure to use. Easy to sharpen and durable, I accidentally hit a heavy steel staple embedded into some wood while feathersticking and the blade was fine after a few strops. The handle is so comfortable and the leather sheath is absolutely beautiful. Very satisfied with the quality of this knife and I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayThis is by far the most fun Ive ever had with a knife. It comes with a rail system and a couple of hook & loop straps that make it very easy to attach to anything (including MOLLE systems). Straps can be attached vertically or horizontally and the rail system even comes with drill holes, incase one wanted to permanently attach it to something with some screws. Could not be happier! The knife is cool too; obviously, its a Mora.
