Mara has one of the nicest knives for the price I own several high end knives and mara is still one of my go to

Despite reviews to the contrary, this blade is INSANELY sharp. The spine perfectly flat ground with a slight burr to the edge for a Ferro Rod device.

What more can I say that hasn’t been said about this knife. I’ve had many great fixed blades over the years and this one is up there with ones that cost a lot more. I bought it to replace an Esee Laser Strike that I lost (huge bummer, another fantastic knife for the money) but I’m very satisfied with the Mora. Tough as hell and comfortable in size. Highly recommend for any outdoors application, although may be a little undersized if you are looking for a larger blade length, I wish mora would make the garberg in a 5” to 6” format. Best bang for the bucks by far though!

This is a great mid budget bushcraft knife. Easy to sharpen and stays sharp. Sturdy and throws a good amount of sparks with the ferro rod. Not a custom knife, but less than half the price of one

This is the ultimate bushcraft survival knife and I have owned many of the top brands out there and this is the one that has stayed on my belt side. Best bang for your buck knife. Get the leather sheath if your going to belt carry.

Very sharp and simple effective construction of knife and sheath. Look forward to using in the woods this hunting season.

Update. I emailed customer support and after about a week I received a reply. They asked for the batch number of my knife and offered to send me a replacement. The replacement arrived the other day and was much sharper out of the box. Upping my review to 4 stars. First, let me say I like the knife and probably wont return it. It seems very well made, I like the polymer handle and sheath. It feels very comfortable in either hand. Its the first knife of its kind Ive owned, so take that for what it is worth. First thing I did when I got it was to try to slice some paper. Wow, really dull from a premium knife perspective. It feels sharp, but could not slice paper of shave arm hair at all. Several people suggested I strop it which I did and now it is very sharp. But I feel it should have come out of the box like that. I also emailed Moraknivs support asking why it was dull and should I expect to have to touch it up out of the box. No response so far other than an automated email. Maybe its Swedish New Year and the support department is on vacation? Once I got is stropped out to my satisfaction, I did some woodsman stuff in the back yard. Shaved some branches, split some logs for tinder hitting it with a stick etc. Performed very well. I even stuck a fire using ferocerium sticks. Next morning it appears I may have accidentally used the cutting side to strike a fire at least once. No apparent damage to the blade and the mark wiped right off I like this knife. Its a good weight and seems like it will be a good basic camping knife. The black color and blade may come back to bite me since it will most likely make it impossible to find at night. Im thinking about tying off some reflective tent cord to make it more visible at night. Will definitely need to attend to keeping the blade dry/oiled since it will see a fair amount of water in Florida camping and I dont want it rusting up. I think this is a good knife, probably overpriced. The lack of a response from the support bothers me. Not going to return it, but next time Ill probably try a different brand.
