i have the silent mother board on another Ender 3 Pro but this one im hearing a vibrating noise on the stepper motors thats very annoying, im pretty sure its a defect and will be returning

Started out completely silent, but after 2 weeks the motors or something on the board itself is making more and more noise. Additionally, Creality firmware support is pretty much non-existent. Also they have too many websites, each with a different version of firmware for this board. v1.1.2, v1.1.9, v1.3.1 is it actually Marlin 2 or not, who knows?

The board works very well... very quiet... But beware if you have an Ender 5, as the stock firmware for the board is set for the Ender 3 - which has an entirely different physical layout and will cause the servos to attempt to autohome to the Ender 3 form factor. The flashing of the firmware for the Ender 5 is not self-explanatory. I almost returned the board for this reason, but I was eventually successful. My recommendation is to search for a tutorial at (link removed per Amazon review policies). (1) Dload the 1.1.15 Ender 5 hex file firmware from Creality dropbox. (2) Install AVRDude (3) If you have a linux system, you have it slightly easier. Plug into the usb on the board and copy/paste the following CLI command: sudo avrdude -c arduino -p m1284p -P /dev/ttyUSB0 -b115200 -U flash:w:/home/user/Downloads/ender5.hex That should do it.

Perfect fit, works great, connector for the CRTouch worked. Only issue was I had to reflash it for the printer to home even though it was supposed to be set up for the ender 3 pro by default. The reflash was quick and easy though.

Fairly new in the 3D printing world and so far I love my Ender 3 Pro. I was on the fence between buying the SKR Mini V3 or the 4.2.7 board. I chose the 4.2.7 route because of the hoops you have to go through with the SKR to get it set up properly. The 4.2.7 install was a breeze. It took 20 minutes to swap out the board. TAKE PICTURES FIRST!!! The firmware on my board was actually the correct version even though I had already downloaded it from the Creality website. I also bought a CR Touch when I purchased the printer but could never get it work on 4.2.2 board no matter what I did. I spent countless hours of wasted time so I just left it disconnected from the mainboard. I decided to try it again and actually got it to work with the 4.2.7 board, however, I could not get the Z Offset settings to save on the SD Card. Every time I powered off and on, the stored settings would clear. SO...I left it powered off for a couple of days and tried one last time and magically it now saves properly. At least I hope it lasts. I read this could happen during my 4.2.7 research but I cant be sure it was the board or not. Long story short...it was a great purchase. I can actually leave it on overnight and not hear the constant singing of the steppers. I would definitely recommend the 4.2.7 board over the SKR Mini V3.

Stepper motors are totally silent now. Print quality is still fantastic. Only trouble I had was flashing the new firmware for my ender 5. But once I got that sorted, its been smooth printing.

This is a great upgrade. I dont have a db meter but after installing the steppers are almost completely silent on my Ender 5, what a huge difference. I followed the YouTube video from Teaching Tech for the motherboard and Marlin upgrade and he walked me through flashing the motherboard with an Arduino Uno which I had on hand already. Pretty straight forward and didnt run into any issues.
