This seriously changes the game for the Ender 3 Pro. My printer went from sounding like robots dying to so quiet you could only hear the fan. My only complaint was that the install was a bit of a pain to do. This is certainly a “Hobby Grade” upgrade for a “Hobby Grade” printer.

Wow! What a difference! Wish I did this from the beginning. The install takes a little time, but its not bad. Great upgrade all around!

I like the easy swap out as well as quietening the stepper motors. Ive been using it a month or so and have had no issues. I just got done with a 40hr print and it turned out awesome. If you dont plan on upgrading to a 32bit board I recommend this one.

I had difficulty with the initial firmware to set it for my 5 Pro with a BL Touch. The firmware from the website wasnt correct but the supplier delivered the correct firmware. Once I had the right firmware it was a simple matter of putting on an SD and booting from it. UPDATE. This board lasted for just over 16 months, I was able to start using it on 11/11/2020 and it stopped moving the Z stepper during auto home as well as stopped sending any power at all to the extruder stepper on 4/7/2022. Ill be looking for a more reliable printer.

Even though this is suppose to work right off the bat with my ended 3 pro it did not.. so looses a star there- took me a minute to find the flash for the board/download/and install it but then it worked great. Much quieter and smoother running printer now- all you hear is the fans! Deffinently a worthwhile upgrade- hands down recommended

Perfect fit, works great, connector for the CRTouch worked. Only issue was I had to reflash it for the printer to home even though it was supposed to be set up for the ender 3 pro by default. The reflash was quick and easy though.

This board makes your stepper motors nearly inaudible! They also dont get as hot! I installed this on my Ender 5 and it was super easy. It is so silent I can sleep while its printing! However, the extruder fan is very noticeable now that the motors are quiet. I will probably end up putting even more money into this printer now to make the fan quieter haha. I purchased this for my Ender 5. The board comes configured for the Ender 3 pro, so I needed to flash a new firmware to it. I tried flashing the .hex file that creality provides, using Ultimaker Cura, but there arent settings in Cura to tell it which COM port to use to connect to the printer and it said connection failed every different time I tried (I tried a lot of times and got very frustrated). To make things worse, I could not find drivers that Windows would actually install to make the USB connection show up as a COM port. I finally just tried a USB port in the back of the computer and then the printer showed up as COM port. I still couldnt get Cura to upload the .hex firmware to the board, so I followed YouTuber TeachingTechs instructions on how to install Marlin 1.1.9 with his configuration files. That finally worked, and the Marlin 1.1.9 has a lot of good features, so its probably better than the Marlin 1.1.6 that Crealitys .hex file is based on anyway. Take note: The second fan on the extruder is linked to the fan that cools the board. It might be better to plug that fan directly to the power supplys output so that your board is always getting airflow! If you use that fan but youre doing large prints, the boards cooling fan will be off for the whole first and second layers. That wont be great for the board long term.

This thing is magical, I didnt know what to expect. I thought a 50% noise reduction but it is more like a 99% noise reduction. It makes it so quiet Im looking at new fans now because they seem to loud without the motors whirring away. It was a little pain to install because the glue on the original board, but once I got it up and running I thought I did something wrong it was so quiet (Like the motors dont make any sound at all). This is most definitely an upgrade that everyone should get.
