> 3 dayThe board works very well... very quiet... But beware if you have an Ender 5, as the stock firmware for the board is set for the Ender 3 - which has an entirely different physical layout and will cause the servos to attempt to autohome to the Ender 3 form factor. The flashing of the firmware for the Ender 5 is not self-explanatory. I almost returned the board for this reason, but I was eventually successful. My recommendation is to search for a tutorial at (link removed per Amazon review policies). (1) Dload the 1.1.15 Ender 5 hex file firmware from Creality dropbox. (2) Install AVRDude (3) If you have a linux system, you have it slightly easier. Plug into the usb on the board and copy/paste the following CLI command: sudo avrdude -c arduino -p m1284p -P /dev/ttyUSB0 -b115200 -U flash:w:/home/user/Downloads/ender5.hex That should do it.

> 3 dayIf you want to make your Ender (3 Pro out of the box, and 3 or 5 with a re-flash of firmware) SILENT (other than the fans, of course) - buy this updated board. Installation is very straight forward - just unplug a cable from your present board, and plug into the exact same spot on this replacement board. The only annoying part I ran into was the amount of hot glue that was used on the stock board to keep the connections in place -- took a little bit of work to get all the cables unplugged because of it.

> 3 dayIt is silent. I highly recommend if your ender 3 didnt come with this or a newer main board. If you are okay with building your own computer or tinkering with electronics, installation will be fine. Else, take your time. I recommend taking a few photos before taking out the original main board so you can reference the locations.

> 3 dayThis seriously changes the game for the Ender 3 Pro. My printer went from sounding like robots dying to so quiet you could only hear the fan. My only complaint was that the install was a bit of a pain to do. This is certainly a “Hobby Grade” upgrade for a “Hobby Grade” printer.

> 3 dayPerfect fit, works great, connector for the CRTouch worked. Only issue was I had to reflash it for the printer to home even though it was supposed to be set up for the ender 3 pro by default. The reflash was quick and easy though.

> 3 dayI have my printer in a small closet by my bedroom and before the board was installed the printer was definitely more obnoxious. It would whine as it moved, high pitched and grating. After installation (which was physically easy) the printer now hums instead of whines. although I can still hear it working through the night over the sound of a fan in my room, the wife says she can only hear it occasionally and its a much better, lower sound, thats more tolerable. which is the only reason its getting 4 stars instead of 5. Getting the firmware updated for my Ender 5 mostly easy. Having a bootloader already installed saved me from having to buy an arduino board, and I went ahead and flashed with Th3d firmware, because the guy has everything ready to go in a single download, and has pretty clear directions. Currently printing supports and other upgrades for the printer before starting general printing work.

> 3 dayBought this to replace a mainboard stopped moving the extruder stepper.. Put this in, flash it, and everything works except the bed heater. So basically I got a bad board.

> 3 dayStarted out completely silent, but after 2 weeks the motors or something on the board itself is making more and more noise. Additionally, Creality firmware support is pretty much non-existent. Also they have too many websites, each with a different version of firmware for this board. v1.1.2, v1.1.9, v1.3.1 is it actually Marlin 2 or not, who knows?

> 3 dayConfigured for use in CR-10, upgrade from stock board. Compiled Marlin 2.0x custom and flashed, works great. Not one issue

> 3 dayMy Ender 3 Pro came with a 4.2.2 board, this was a silent 4.2.7 board. I purchased this to help reduce the motor noise. I am floored at how quiet it is. The motors cannot be heard over the fans at all. Only at full speed from one side to the other, I can hear the XY-belts making noise. Installation does require some care, but take your time and get photos first. Highly recommended.
