Bought this to replace a mainboard stopped moving the extruder stepper.. Put this in, flash it, and everything works except the bed heater. So basically I got a bad board.

It does what it is supposed to do. It silences the steppers compared to the original board and adds CR-Touch support (main reason for my upgrade). Im not always a fan of silence, I can no longer hear the printer from the basement to know when it is done. Leveling works well.

The firmware in the board is 2 years out of date and the thermal run away protection value is set to tight so you get errors before the print can even start. I’m giving it 1 star because you’ll have to compile your own firmware from the current marlin build. Which not everyone knows how to or is comfortable doing, also the fuse was already popped and I got to breath in some nice toxic smoke before I realized what happened and had to replace it with my own. For the average/ casual user this is a bad upgrade and should be avoided

I like the easy swap out as well as quietening the stepper motors. Ive been using it a month or so and have had no issues. I just got done with a 40hr print and it turned out awesome. If you dont plan on upgrading to a 32bit board I recommend this one.

Great product it was about time this mother board came with pre installed firmware and was a direct replacement

Best thing is its so much quieter than the original 8-bit board. Quick easy upgrade for my Ender 3 Pro. Upgraded from a 2019 8-bit mainboard. Initially used the firmware provided by Creality. Not a fan of the non-standard messages it sends to octoprint, but worked completely fine. Due to this having a flashable bootloader installed, I ended up trying Klipper. Its all in with Klipper and this board now, works great. There are configuration files for the ender3 pro and its just copy paste to get you setup. From there you can endlessly change parameters to get better prints.

If you want to make your Ender (3 Pro out of the box, and 3 or 5 with a re-flash of firmware) SILENT (other than the fans, of course) - buy this updated board. Installation is very straight forward - just unplug a cable from your present board, and plug into the exact same spot on this replacement board. The only annoying part I ran into was the amount of hot glue that was used on the stock board to keep the connections in place -- took a little bit of work to get all the cables unplugged because of it.

Super quiet. The only thing I can hear on my ender now is the fan and bltouch!!! P&P super easy to install and flash.

10/10 love this board, it took away all noise except fan noise on my Ender 3 pro. Going to be buying a second one for my other printer.
