I am somewhat new to 3D printing but was running great prints off my 4.2.2 board, but it was very loud. I decided to get this 4.2.7 board but since the change, the z axis is having a lot of problems not lifting every time and dragging through the layer already printed. I have not changed anything other than this board. its very frustrating and I may switch back and return.

Pretty incredible how quiet my Ender 3 Pro is now. Now just have the sound of the fans. It no longer sounds like a robot rap battle going on. It was a bit fiddly to install and the videos on Youtube werent super helpful, but it worked out fine. I dont think this has new capabilities compared to original board (maybe thermal runaway protection?) but the noise level is much improved.

If you want to make your Ender (3 Pro out of the box, and 3 or 5 with a re-flash of firmware) SILENT (other than the fans, of course) - buy this updated board. Installation is very straight forward - just unplug a cable from your present board, and plug into the exact same spot on this replacement board. The only annoying part I ran into was the amount of hot glue that was used on the stock board to keep the connections in place -- took a little bit of work to get all the cables unplugged because of it.

Got it in because stock motherboard fried. Super quiet can’t hear it run other than the occasional low chirp. Got my printer back up and running.

Super quiet. The only thing I can hear on my ender now is the fan and bltouch!!! P&P super easy to install and flash.

The motors were quiet but I never got a good complete print with it, kept giving a generic thermal error even with updated firmware, replaced it with a big tree tech skr mini e3 v3 and have no issues now

This board appeared to be creality official board. Worked perfect!

It made the Printer silent, almost... now the motors are SO SILENT that it seems that my printer is gonna take off every print because of the FAN noise. But thats another story. The board does what it says. Also now you can update the firmware only by inserting a micro SD card with only the firmware file and nothing else, super easy

I had difficulty with the initial firmware to set it for my 5 Pro with a BL Touch. The firmware from the website wasnt correct but the supplier delivered the correct firmware. Once I had the right firmware it was a simple matter of putting on an SD and booting from it. UPDATE. This board lasted for just over 16 months, I was able to start using it on 11/11/2020 and it stopped moving the Z stepper during auto home as well as stopped sending any power at all to the extruder stepper on 4/7/2022. Ill be looking for a more reliable printer.
