Im so glad I purchased this cap! I dont even need to put it in the fridge. I keep it in my nightstand in my cool room. It stays cool enough. The fridge is almost to cold. I havent tried heat, because that makes my migraines worse. The pressure is just enough and I would say I have an average size head. I can still here things enough so I dont hear my head throb only. I would recommend it even if you just use a cold wash cloth, it saves stains on your pillow and the wet discomfort.

Husband is pron to get headaches which then turn into bad migraines that lead to being such in bed under covers with no lights on- only using a dish cloth that I have to keep cold every 10 minutes. I knew I needed something for him that would also help my sanity. This has worked MAGIC! This simple cap was surprisingly effective! The thick gel layer is naturally cool; even without putting it in the fridge, there is a significant cooling effect. The weight of the gel provides soothing pressure without squeezing too tightly. While it is not a cure, it definitely helps to quickly soothe the symptoms and pain. I was initially skeptical but figured it was worth a try. Im so glad I gave it a shot! Definitely worth it.

A little strange sensation at first to have it on your head but I put it on when I felt one of my frequent headaches coming on and this stopped it in its tracks. Definitely recommend for chronic headache sufferers.
