Pros: colors were great, 165hz was very nice, only $330 which is pretty great for 1440p 165hz, on screen display was easily controllable with a mini joystick on the back, easy to set up gsync on it, nearly 0 back light bleed. Cons: the stand was very large for my small desk, seemed to have some sort of motion blur effect on some games, and sadly my monitor came with a few dead pixels so I ended up returning it. Overall good monitor for the price if it didn’t have any dead pixels.

Received this monitor in Jan of 2021. Worked great out of box. Used Displayport at 165hz for about 8mos. Randomly one day monitor kicked over to 60hz. 165, 144, 120hz options are all now gone from my options list. I purchased another almost $60 DP cable to no avail. I found some relief in switching back to hdmi and 144hz. The next issue. I recently upgraded to a 30 series gpu. Make sure every single driver and bios in my computer was updated. Still not functionality of the higher hz options for displayport so i stay with hdmi. The user manual for this specifically shows an update firmware option in the instructions but my firmware version shows 1.0. The update firmware option is simply not present on my monitor. I have now contacted Pixio to see if they can help me out or if I just need to chuck this thing in the trash. Good luck guys and do good research before you buy! Pixio needs better product and firmware support!

Ive had the monitor since December 2020 and hadnt had any issues until recently. The monitor started powering off then on then off again and i was very concerned so i set the monitor to 60hz through windows and it stopped it. I was doing some thermal testing with my fingers. I bought some little heatsinks and slapped them on the back and it has been working just fine since. for wear and tear i suggest putting some heatsinks on the back of the monitor near the middle hdmi port. Hope this review is useful for anyone that reads it

I can tell the difference right out of the box. There are some quirks with this monitor. Its not perfect, but for the price, its a solid buy. Pros: - 144hz refresh is butter smooth - No problems with the LED backlighting like Ive seen in some other reviews - The overdrive feature smooths out any noticeable staggering when images are going across the screen- resulting in a very smooth movement of said images. - The lighting is crisp - No issues with monitor detection - Included a DVI cable - G-sync and FreeSync worked fine The Not-So-Good: - The speakers on this are awful. Not bad. Awful. They are tinny and have zero bass: Think AM radio with the bass all the way down. - I had flickering issues when I hooked up a mac. Its not the monitors fault- but be aware that if you are hooking this up to a MacBook Pro- The software has issues. (I primarily use a PC, so I didnt have this problem) - The instructions are non-existent. Just go to their website for anything. All in all, it is a decent buy. Its not a 4K screen, but the smoothness and G-sync compatibility make up for it. And you cant beat the price.

I bought this to upgrade my gaming pc from 1080p. Response times are tight, picture quality is good. The only complaint is that I cant run it at 120hz. 60, 144, and 165 are the only framerate options. I would say to anyone looking to upgrade from 1080p for gaming is that, to me, the difference is negligible. If I had to do it again, I would have stayed with 1080p and gotten a larger monitor and/or a higher refresh rate. Still happy with this one though.

For the price, this monitor is truly impressive. I returned a 25 1080p 240hz IPS Monitor ($400) after I tested this Pixio beside it. First, the Pixios pixel density (PPI) is good around 32-34 away from the screen and I was unable to spot the screen door effect. I also found the colors to be vibrant after some minor calibration and a slight saturation boost via my AMD Software. For gaming, the Freesync and motion blur performance was great. No problems. Also, black light bleed was very minimal and I did not notice it while surfing the net or playing games. Lastly, the monitor stand and speakers are trash but I expected that. I had no issues mounting the Pixio on a universal monitor stand. Link Below :) Overall, I am happy with my purchase and plan on keeping it.
