> 3 dayUpgrading from a TN 1080p 60 hz 24 inch monitor, to this IPS 1440p 165 hz is a HUUUUUGE difference. Well, Im sure thats obvious, but it really makes a difference. Right now I cant even run many games above 90 fps, and given I still have about 75 fps of breathing room, I know Im future proof while I upgrade my gpu. Not certified G-sync but it is compatible- although again I dont get past 90 fps very often, so I dont notice a difference with it on or off. Read some reviews of dead pixels, fortunately the screen is perfect and only minor I guess its called Ips glow on the left side, but its only noticeable when Im in complete darkness, and on a dark scene in a video game. This is me nit picking, though. I believe there are 2 competitors to this monitor right now in this price range, and the newer gigabyte option is tempting, however given most people wont be maxing out this monitor anyway, latency time is on par with what youd expect in this price range, and if Im being honest, I personally notice zero inverse ghosting (I think its called) until I set overdrive to high. High, it does make games have a strange trail to movement so I tend to stick to low or medium and latency is never an issue. great choice.

10-06-2025When it first arrived I had high hopes for it being pretty decent. And decent it was. The picture quality is very good when playing some games like GTA or any bright games on the PS5, but whenever I would play games such as Resident Evil 8, you could notice in multiple spots, a very bright backlight bleed. I tried to avoid it but it kept catching my eye and was very distracting whenever I entered a dark room. I ended up returning it then purchasing a new one in hopes of it just being a defective product, but the new one came with the same problem just not as severe as the first.

> 3 dayIve owned many monitors over my 15 year PC gaming hobby. This is my 3rd 2k IPS monitor and a far as the panel goes, its visually as good as any other Ive had. Wont beat an OLED display, but its smooth and silky with 144/165 refresh rate, good picture quality, no dead pixels and mood range OSD options. IPS is clear and vastly superior to the off brand VA panel I just returned (was really bad in dark areas). Overall, a solid display for a great value, you shouldnt be disappointed. My 2nd Pixio too, and never an issue.

> 3 dayThe PX278 does not have built-in speakers. If you want to use the monitor as an audio source, you will need to plug in headphones or external speakers to the monitors 3.5mm headphone jack on the back.

> 3 dayIt’s near perfect but it came with a tiny scratch out the box, I’m going to see about exchanging it and hopefully then I’ll change to a 5 star

> 3 dayDoes everything that the review said. HDR works, 1440p, 165hz. Love the picture quality. Was on the fence between this and a 4k... but i want to run everything on Ultra settings and I only have a 3070. So far the card does ultra at 1440p perfectly @165hz. I have 4k tvs for movies - im not as concerned on a 27 inch monitor. I had an LG ips and this is FAR brighter and smoother. stand does not adjust up and down, and the settings are controlled by a little joystick on the back of the screen - which took some getting used to.

Greater than one weekI managed to pick this up while it was on sale. Its a very nice monitor. The color blew me away. I had gotten used to a 144Hz VA which had really dull colors. This monitor looks amazing and Freesync works like its supposed to without issues. I dont really mess with HDR so I cant tell you how well that works. The stand does have a stout aluminum base which is nice to see. I do wish the stand offered height adjustment but its a trade-off for the price. For me it was no big deal as I wanted to get a desk mount stand anyway for both of my monitors. Over all Ive enjoyed this montor and will likely be buying Pixio again in the future.

> 3 dayWe are not even informed which size mounting screws, of many possible, we need to get for ourselves since wall mount arm’s don’t come with screws ether.

> 3 dayAfter a series of shipping mishaps with USPS, my package was declared ‘lost’ and I was issued a refund. However the monitor ended up showing up at my place later, so I had the refund and the monitor. Of course the right thing to do is let someone know that I did in fact receive the monitor, but upon setting up the monitor I was motivated to immediately call Amazon because the quality was that good. Of course Amazon could take the loss, but Pixio deserved every penny for the quality it delivered. Great color, no dead pixels, minimal glow, good response times. A simple design, minimal adjustability, but if you really care about that then get a VESA mount, I think a devoted monitor stand doesn’t need to do much. It’s super bright for me, I keep it at 10 brightness (out of 100). I’ve hooked it up to a PC and a Xbox series x, works out of the box with either at maximum refresh rate.

> 3 dayI needed a decent picture quality with hdr for a budget price. This monitor checked all the boxes, but I will say this, this picture quality itself is a little grainy, but browsing the web, it actually looks good. I would not use this as a primary monitor though, I’ve used a lot of high end monitors and this one is worse than my VA 2018 2k Asus monitor in almost every detail. Overall if you need a decent second monitor for productions or just to keep discord open while you game, it gets the job done, but fork up some more money if you want a good gaming 2k primary monitor.
