Im not the pickiest, but I find the display itself to be very good. Build quality is fine, I have no dead pixels, the bezel is pleasantly tiny, and the refresh rate meets my expectations. There are some frustrating quirks though, things that I cant quite get past. First, when the KVM is enabled, there is a really noticeable coil whine. I contacted their support about it, and they were the ones who identified the KVM as the issue, and as soon as it was disabled, the coil whine went away. Its an unfortunate choice: coil whine or KVM? The second thing that I dont like about this monitor is its aggressive sleep modes and slow wake times. I cant always see the BIOS setup key prompts, because it doesnt wake fast enough after immediately going to sleep for a reboot. I chose to connect the computer to a different monitor for BIOS changes. The only reason Im not more upset is that this monitor was half the price of the other monitors I was looking at with comparable features. Its a good value, despite my frustrations.

To start off, I never heard of this company. After seeing lots of positive reviews I decided to give them a try. The 3 year warranty along with the price tag was the cherry on top. The monitor had to check off my basics. 1440p, 27inch ips, decent contrast and over 144hz. This monitor exceeded my expectations. There’s no light bleed, slim bezels and the colors look amazing.

Going from 1080p 144hz to 1440p 165hz was definitely noticeable. FOR THE BETTER. I know average joe reviews help me throughout the buying process, so I hope this helps some of you out there make a decision on whether or not this monitor is for you! I’ve had the same AOC G2590FX for about 1.5yrs. Been a great monitor, but I started to have considerable difficulty recognizing objects at distance (specifically Warzone). Decided it was time to jump up to 1440p for the pixel density and clarity. I am beyond impressed. Although the PX277 Prime isn’t the cheapest 1440p monitor out there, the current price, performance, and features set it apart from the rest for me. I was looking for a Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD, but all three of my orders fell through. Then wanted the PX7 Prime but couldn’t get that in stock within my desired timeline. Soooo long story short I initially selected the PX277 Prime simply because it was the best monitor (based off advertised stats) that I could find available. Initial impressions: color out of the box was too warm, bit under saturated, and not bright enough. I made some simple tweaks and immediately had it exactly where I wanted it. (My settings are in the associated pics). All colors seem true, blacks and gray areas appear very uniform, and refresh rate/input response are more than adequate for FPS. I don’t have any hardware that will provide official results, but my average gamer eyes (Warzone and MW multiplayer exclusively) are beyond pleased. I have no difference in reaction time/ performance than I had while playing at 1080p. If anything, my awareness is enhanced due to the clarity and fidelity of textures as well as my ability to see farther/identify objects at distance. If you’re on a budget, this is a great option. Can’t say it’s the best because I haven’t tried any other 1440p monitors, but based off available reviews online for comparable monitors in this price range The PX277 Prime’s performance is top notch based off my experience. (Model as of September 2020)

After a series of shipping mishaps with USPS, my package was declared ‘lost’ and I was issued a refund. However the monitor ended up showing up at my place later, so I had the refund and the monitor. Of course the right thing to do is let someone know that I did in fact receive the monitor, but upon setting up the monitor I was motivated to immediately call Amazon because the quality was that good. Of course Amazon could take the loss, but Pixio deserved every penny for the quality it delivered. Great color, no dead pixels, minimal glow, good response times. A simple design, minimal adjustability, but if you really care about that then get a VESA mount, I think a devoted monitor stand doesn’t need to do much. It’s super bright for me, I keep it at 10 brightness (out of 100). I’ve hooked it up to a PC and a Xbox series x, works out of the box with either at maximum refresh rate.

Im confused because I bought the 144hz TN model but it runs at 165hz. I tried unplugging all my other monitors but it still gave me 165. But windows and Nvidia control panel both say its 144. So thats weird. Colors are off out of the box and need to change some settings to get 144 with nodes but once thats over, its nearly indistinguishable between my HP IPS monitor but without the IPS glow. Has poor viewing angles but thats just apart of TN technology.

The colors were awful when compared to a gigabyte g24f, while yes, it may be bad to compare a 24 and 27 inch monitor, but I was using a dual setup, and the differences were night and day. After messing with all the monitor settings, I could not get the images to be sharp as I’d like it to be and no matter what, the colors always were a little off than what it’s supposed to be. For example, black looks blue and white looks more blue as well, red looks more orange, etc. At this price range, you can get a better gaming monitor.

I purchased this monitor to compare it next to the MSI 1080 175Hz. I thought this monitor would be superior. I was wrong. The picture quality looks better because of the higher resolution on my ps5.. but when comparing image quality MSI way way superior. Some people love the fade, VIZIO/Sony look. I like vibriant and deep colors similar to Oled. I feel like the quality wasn’t really there. Hope to do another review later on with other Pixio products.

I needed a decent picture quality with hdr for a budget price. This monitor checked all the boxes, but I will say this, this picture quality itself is a little grainy, but browsing the web, it actually looks good. I would not use this as a primary monitor though, I’ve used a lot of high end monitors and this one is worse than my VA 2018 2k Asus monitor in almost every detail. Overall if you need a decent second monitor for productions or just to keep discord open while you game, it gets the job done, but fork up some more money if you want a good gaming 2k primary monitor.
