> 3 dayWorks great at 1440p/120hz and 4K/60hz. I did not have to disable any settings. VRR is enabled. Great colors. Hope it last. Love it and 27” is a perfect size for my needs.

> 3 dayPros: colors were great, 165hz was very nice, only $330 which is pretty great for 1440p 165hz, on screen display was easily controllable with a mini joystick on the back, easy to set up gsync on it, nearly 0 back light bleed. Cons: the stand was very large for my small desk, seemed to have some sort of motion blur effect on some games, and sadly my monitor came with a few dead pixels so I ended up returning it. Overall good monitor for the price if it didn’t have any dead pixels.

> 3 dayI have been frustrated trying to find a good monitor for a while, but I was really happy when I got this. The colors are vibrant, resolution is great, the height, tilt, swivel are helpful. Its really nice to have basically a usb dock built into the back with Ethernet etc. You can tell that high quality materials are used, even the external power block has quality design and material. Very sturdy build overall, easy to set up. I am very happy with this purchase, I believe its worth the price. I got this specifically to use with the steam deck and it is great. There have been no issues so far really. The text clarity is great in desktop mode, definitely suitable for productivity needs. Games look really good and everything runs well except if you are playing demanding games you will have to turn down the games resolution to get better performance but it still looks okay. All you have to do is plug in the usb c from the steamdeck to the monitor and thats it. Great for cable management and it even charges the steamdeck at the same time. The only thing that disappointed me was that I would have liked this monitor to include the usb c cable. It comes with a display port cord though. I would still give this 5 stars, you cant go wrong with this.

> 3 dayUpdate 10/11/22: Ive now had the monitor for five months and its still just okay. Its starting to show signs of problems. Over the months it has developed multiple stuck, red, pixels in various places of the display. Initially running an app designed to reset stuck pixels fixed the problems, but now that no longer works and theyre constantly on all the time. Its quite disappointing, if Im honest. Added a photograph using the recently launched Overwatch 2 to clarify my original reviews comments about the HDR capabilities of each system. As you can see in the image, the Xbox Series X version of OW2 says HDR is not available on this display while the PS5 version clearly shows that HDR is available. Pixios marketing claims the monitor supports Xbox Series HDR at 1080p but that is untrue. No Xbox Series title will recognize this as an HDR compliant display. --- Original Review: Living in a smaller space, I needed something to upgrade my console gaming experience but most decent TVs are 40 and above these days. After looking up the specifications on Pixios website, I settled on the P273 Prime as it hit all the bullet points I cared about. I dont really care about 4K but HDR, 120Hz, low flicker and AMD Freesync support were must haves. Overall, it HAS been a major step up from my old 32 TV from 2015 but not without a host of frustrations. First, the brightness is poor and needs to be on 100% all the time whether youre in a bright room or a dark room. Anything lower than that and the entire display looks dull no matter what other options you set. Although their specifications sheet claims it supports HDR on Xbox Series X | S, in reality neither console detects it as HDR capable and, therefore, doesnt allow you to calibrate the display for HDR. This, apparently, is because the Xbox Series consoles wont recognize HDR on anything lower than 4K displays even if the displays are capable of them. So with the HDR setting turned on On, the display is essentially emulating HDR10 on the Xbox Series games. The Xbox Series has no problems detecting the display as 120Hz capable and defaults to that mode automatically. It also detects the AMD Freesync capabilities but the setting to use it needs to be manually turned to on in the Xbox settings. On the PlayStation 5, HDR works flawlessly on games that support it. The PS5 settings menu allows for HDR calibration. 120Hz mode is also game-dependent but on the games which offer 120Hz modes, the display works perfectly when those modes are enabled. However, the PS5 will not recognize the display as being AMD Freesync VRR compatible, but this is likely due to Sonys recent implementation of VRR and not being fully compliant with all Freesync devices. And then theres the audio quality. Its so bad it makes me wonder why they even included a headphone jack in the first place. There is no bass, the highs clip to the point where they just cut out entirely, and the mids sound like listening to music in tin cans. The issue is so significant that I contacted Pixio support because I was wondering if I had a defective unit. The response I received in return was disheartening. Heres the direct quote from the support e-mail reply: Unfortunately, the audio is as intended. The audio jack is meant for convenience and not sound quality. You will often find that most, if not all, monitors will be the same in audio quality. This feels like a poor excuse to me when cheaper TV units have significantly better digital audio converters in them. I ordered a USB-A to 3.5mm converter that has a better DAC in it, and that cost $5.99. I find it incredulous to believe they spend all the money on display hardware but cheap out on a DAC that makes the audio nearly useless. If youre on PC, this wont be an issue because youre going to be using your PCs on-board or third party audio solution. But if, like me, youre using this as a console display, the only option is to use headphones through the respective controllers or buying a separate bluetooth audio device. This is an inconvenience, how much of one depends on what you already have at hand or if you dont mind faster battery drain from your controllers doing all the audio work for you. All in all I like the display but I rather wish I had spent a bit more on something better. Im still debating returning it and buying something different. But the visuals have been such a step up from my old TV, I dont really want to go back.

> 3 dayThis product is amazing, I really love it. Honestly, it could cost more. I ran a test and its running at 240.297Hz. I went into my PC settings to select 240 in the options. The monitor looks great. The stand the monitor is on is a little high for me, and higher than my other monitors, so I had to adjust the rest of setup to accommodate for that and avoid neck strain. It can be incredibly blinding bright, easily changed in monitor settings. The settings also have a timer, black equalizer, ultra vivid, blue light, HDR, multiple user settings and a lot of other settings. Setting up the warranty was easy. They emailed to confirm it, which wasnt necessary but nice. And I doubt Ill ever use the warranty because this thing is built strong. Days after I got it, I went to move it which meant turning the monitor and removing the cables. And the monitor fell off onto my table with the base still in my hands. Looking back at the imagery, it does show the monitor detaches there but I missed it. So be careful and lay it on a towel if you need to move cables, because I dont know if theres a way to prevent this. Its not where you add screws, it detaches from a second place. Anyway, my table has a deep scratch in it but the monitor (and stand) dont even have a mark on it. I dont know how because it hit hard, dont try this at home. Great product! Id definetly buy again.

20-11-2024ONE YEAR LATER EDIT: Still keeping my 4 star rating because of the backlit bleed but man, its lasted and done a great job. Overall I would suggest this monitor. Also the dead pixels disappeared which was odd but no more dead pixels so woo. Only have had it for a few hours but I am pleasantly surprised. Only had two dead pixels in the top left corner of the screen but the back light bleed is quite noticeable in darker scenes. I want to give it 5 stars but just cant. For what it is and for the price this is a phenomenal choice. Im happy. Ive been gaming off of a flatscreen from 2010 for the past 11 years and 165hz ultra graphics on RDR2 is blowing my mind on PC.

Greater than one weekI had a asus 1080p 144hz TN monitor from 2019? For everything Pixio offers with this, the monitor has been great for my first 1440p 165hz Freesync/Gsync monitor. My asus “gaming monitor” was almost the same price new from retail and is still being sold.

> 3 dayThe Pixio Prime is a solid pickup if youre looking to have a solid viewing experience. I picked up two (for consistency) for work/entertainment purposes and I must say - THIS IS A STEAL! Pros: Very affordable - most monitors with these specs are in the low $500s Nearly bezel less screen Comes with; a stand, DP cord, and easy to follow instructions Lightweight Cons: Will need to play around with the settings - for some reason one screen was 165hz and the other was 60 No speakers - but who shops for monitors looking for speakers? Stands are solid but you cannot adjust the screen height - simple solution would be to get a monitor stand thats adjustable Overall if youre in the market for a cost efficient screen for gaming & work - look no further!

Greater than one weekUPDATE 3 months later: Ive developed a white spot on the monitor, presumably where a backlight LED isnt diffusing properly for whatever reason. This is more noticeable on a pure white background, once you see it you wont be able to un-see it. If it becomes too distracting Ill have to go and ask Pixio if this is covered by their warranty. Additionally, activating FreeSync shifts the entire screen upwards, chopping off the top 5ish pixels of the screen. Bit disappointing, but otherwise this is still a good monitor with great value. -- I was skeptical, but this monitor is fantastic, especially for the price. Just a few years ago a 144Hz IPS wouldve easily cost more than double the price of this one. I have no issues with backlight glow, dead pixels, or ghosting. Colours are to my satisfaction out of the box with minimal tweaking. I will say that this monitor is *very* light, to the point that I almost tip it over every time I push the power button to turn it on, and the included stand is quite short -- a 3rd party stand or VESA arm is pretty much a necessity.

> 3 dayNo dead pixels and works well for gaming. For a 27in 1440p 165hz monitor, this is a great option for the price. Be sure to select the IPS version (rather than the TN version). I use this for both gaming and work and am happy with it.
