Greater than one weekI purchased a 10 port AmazonBasic hub. I normally love AmazonBasic brand. Its good quality, it works, and never have any problems with it. But...the 10port hub was horrible. It would recognize by MacBook pro half the time. I would have to plug it into one port then into another. It had three charging ports and those were the only ones that worked. I decided to try this hub. Its AWESOME. Plus, I love how you can turn on and off the ports that are in use and when not in use. I have a Stream Deck I use with Adobe Character Animator. I only use it a couple of times a month and here I can press a button and save the energy. Love it!

Greater than one weekI bought this because of the price and was incredibly disappointed. Although it does technically work with most devices, it causes constant connectivity problems with any external hard drive. It works fine as long as there is only one drive (Flash ore HDD) connected to it. As soon as you connect more than one drive it starts causing access errors and I/O failure errors in windows. You cant even copy files to and from drives if there is more than one connected. I switched to a Sabrent hub and everything works perfectly, so it is definitely a problem with this specific product. In addition I ran some throughput tests on it and it is only capable of delivering 1/3 the transfer speed it claims. (this is likely the same cause as all the I/O errors) Returned it.

> 3 dayUpdate: I have now owned this hub for 8 months and a larger issue has arisen. Certain devices simply no longer work in the ports they worked in before. For example, I have always had my webcam in port #1. Suddenly a week ago it stopped working. I changed to port #2 and its fine. Any time I put it back into port #1, the mic will work but the camera will not. This isnt the only port/device having this problem. Also, a more minor issue, but a few of the blue lights that indicate an activated port no longer light up. This USB hub looked too good to be true and it is, although its still not a terrible deal at $50 -- its just not the level of quality advertised. Rather than 5Gb/s USB Superspeed, my unit is actually capped at 66%, getting a max throughput of only 3.3 Gb/s. This shows that they do not truly comply with the USB spec they advertise. Unfortunately for me, this means this is useless for connecting my superspeed external SSDs. At the time of the tests, I did not have any other data travelling over USB to steal bandwidth. Additionally, not all of the lights work for me. Some simply dont light up at all when the button is togled to the on position. Otherwise its a nice looking hub, feels fairly solid (although it is light, so with lots of things plugged in, it does not sit flat on the desk), and the buttons feel nice and do work. My main place of disappointment is not meeting the advertised speed I was expecting.

> 3 dayIve tried any number of USB hubs but this one works the best of any I have used. I have nearly all of the slots in use and they all work great!

> 3 dayI have lots of usb devices at my desk and many backup disks. So I was looking for a powered hub with a minimum of 7 usb2 inputs. It was surprisingly difficult to find, but this one has worked out beautifully. Its compact and the buttons are handy. Its going through a usbC hub to the computer. Ive used it several weeks and, so far, I recommend it.

> 3 dayI bought this hub because of the ability to shut off individual ports. This way I can keep my keyboard plugged in but not powered when Im not using it so my cat cant use it either. I am not using all the ports thank goodness or only 90 watts of power would not be enough to poperly handle the extra load

> 3 dayDo you really need 16 ports? After all my devises, I still have 4 to go. Nice upgrade from old ugly 8 port Hub. No longer need to share ports. I like the on/off buttons so no need to pull and put. Looks good. Could use caps for unused ports.

Greater than one weekI purchased this as a replacement for a different USB Hub I had purchased. I was intrigued by the individual power buttons next to each slot. Truth be told, that functionality hasnt really done much for me as I dont normally leave flash drives in there which I use now but turn off when done. That being said the construction of the Hub is very sturdy and I was impressed by the transfer speeds. That was one of my other concerns is that I am transferring data many times and wanted easy access to a Hub as the USB ports on my PC are not as easy to get access to. It lived up to my desires. I can transfer speeds as expected depending on the device. To be fair I do have it plugged into a USB 3.1 2nd Gen port. So I have given it a best chance of success. My only complaint would be that the power led next to the port is not visible from a low angle. You have to be almost on top of the hub in order to see it. It would have been nice in my opinion if it protruded a bit from the device so it would be easier to see. All in all I am glad I purchased this and would recommend to anyone looking for a USB Hub.
