10-06-2025This is an amazing USB hub. It has a surpassed all my expectations! Every port is powered and has 2.4 Amps. It’s so nice to be able to Plug in multiple devices that need power all on one strip. It’s built sturdy has a metal case. I love that you can turn off ports by just pushing the button next to the USB port. The best part is this USB hub doesn’t cause your Mac to go haywire. My fans don’t run in excess. I’ve use other USB hubs and they have caused my fan in my iMac to run constantly and cause crashes. You’ll enjoy every about this USB hub and it’s a great value!

> 3 dayThis USB expander is great for me since I have so many USB hard disks and thumbs. I love that I could leave them plugged in and just press a button to turn it on/off.

> 3 dayI love this hub. Quality build, materials, layout, and function. But the wall AC plug is HUGE (as it incorporates the power adapter portion), and has the potential to completely clog an outlet or power strip. I would much prefer a normal plug and a separate power adapter box down the line, or even built into the USB hub itself.

> 3 day**UPDATE** I can now comment on longevity: After 2 years one bank of led lights went out. At around 2.5 years I started experiencing devices occasionally going offline and needing to be unplugged and plugged back in to operate normally again. At 3 years devices started constantly cutting out, so I finally replaced it. So it worked fine for about 2 years and slowly failed over another year before becoming unusable. I would have preferred to get more time out of it before trashing it, so lowered my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. **ORIGINAL REVIEW** Only owned it a few weeks, so cant comment on longevity, but I really like the functionality. First off, I bought the one with 16 ports, and I have them all filled. Prior to this I had to use multiple hubs and was still short a few. Id had some issues with my keyboard being plugging into other hubs, but not this one. All devices have worked fine. I wanted one with buttons on the left side. It just works better for my setup. My old 7 port hub with buttons had them on the right and it was harder see and reach them where I have it situated at the rear of my desk. Where you will place the hub may help you decide if you want left or right buttons. The lights are not bright, but viewable when I stand up to change the buttons. Better than no lights, though guess it would be nice if you could more easily see which buttons were up and which were down. Yet so far, not a big enough issue in my day to day use to mark it down. I have hubs that are all metal and heavier. While those feel better, this one is functioning better yet so far, so Im good with it. It stays in place and stays flat even without the extra weight.

> 3 dayI purchased a 10 port AmazonBasic hub. I normally love AmazonBasic brand. Its good quality, it works, and never have any problems with it. But...the 10port hub was horrible. It would recognize by MacBook pro half the time. I would have to plug it into one port then into another. It had three charging ports and those were the only ones that worked. I decided to try this hub. Its AWESOME. Plus, I love how you can turn on and off the ports that are in use and when not in use. I have a Stream Deck I use with Adobe Character Animator. I only use it a couple of times a month and here I can press a button and save the energy. Love it!

> 3 dayOne of the things I noticed about this hub is that it uses the older USB3 connector. The one which is taller than the regular USB plug. I like this better than the ultra thin USB3 connectors many devices use that fall out too easily. I love this device because #1 it has plenty of outlets #2 it has a button for each channel #3 it is well built, built to last. I attached it to the back panel of my tower case with UHB tape. The connectors are of good quality. It has the serious power supply necessary to push all those channels. So far I am very happy and I have high hopes of remaining so. So far I highly recommend this hub. The picture of the back of my tower case shows the hub mounted horizontally at the top of the case. The picture of the USB tester shows the hub provides a hair over the required voltage.

> 3 dayI generally like it. One big thing to be aware of (which is probably true of *all* USB hubs): internally (or at least logically, in the USB device tree) this hub is actually three 4-port hubs! Two of the 4-port hubs are cascaded off a master hub. So, of the 10 physical USB ports, two ports go directly to the master hub. The other 8 physical USB ports are thus one additional level away from your computer. This adds latency (delay), which reduces overall throughput by a few percent for things like external SSDs and hard drives. Depending on your particular overall setup, your operating system may even complain about too many USB hubs and refuse to recognize USB devices that are too far way (in terms of hub hops). I had this problem with my notebook computer at work... I was trying to use multiple physical (powered) hubs with a USB-based docking station. Some of my devices wouldnt work at all. My external SSD and external HDD didnt operate at their highest possible performance. I found an old Microsoft utility program called usbview. This allowed me to see the problem. In the end, I had to give up on my plan to run everything through my docking station. Now, instead of just one cable connected to my notebook computer when its docked, I have four. Im now using every physical USB port on my notebook computer in order to flatten the USB device tree so that everything works. I had to make choices about the performance of my various USB devices. It works, but I wish there was a better way...

> 3 dayThis is excellent hub with plenty of power. I love the indicator lights and on/off switches. One of the main features I love on this unit is the orientation - plug in from the top. This way the blasted thing does not slide across the desk having to always use two hands to plug in cables!
