> 3 dayI recently purchased the ACASIS 16-Port USB 3.0 Powered USB Hub, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance and functionality. This USB hub has proven to be a convenient and reliable solution for expanding my USB connectivity options and managing multiple devices. The first thing that stands out about this USB hub is its impressive number of ports. With 16 USB 3.0 data ports, it provides ample space to connect multiple devices simultaneously. This is particularly useful for individuals who require multiple USB connections for various peripherals such as external hard drives, printers, scanners, and other USB-powered devices. Each USB port on the hub is equipped with an individual on/off switch, which is a fantastic feature. It allows me to conveniently control the power supply to each connected device individually. This not only helps to conserve energy but also provides added convenience by allowing me to power on or off specific devices without disconnecting them. The ACASIS USB hub delivers fast data transfer speeds with its USB 3.0 technology. It ensures efficient data transmission between connected devices, minimizing transfer times for large files or media. The hub is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices, making it versatile and compatible with various USB devices. The build quality of this USB hub is excellent. It has a sturdy and durable construction, ensuring long-term reliability. The compact design and sleek appearance make it an aesthetically pleasing addition to my workspace, while its lightweight nature allows for easy portability when needed. Setting up the ACASIS USB hub was a breeze. It is a plug-and-play device, requiring no additional drivers or software installation. The hub comes with an AC power adapter, providing sufficient power to all connected devices without compromising performance.

> 3 dayI have used many active powered USB HUB, this one takes the cake. I use a lot of USB external hard drives (wd my passport, ext SSD, etc), and the problem is always, a single HUB (even active powered one with its own power), usually can only handle a few high powered device (in my case, the external hard drives). This HUB however, seems to be able to power all of the devices plugged into it.

> 3 daythe tl;dr is: Read the review by Wait, commenting on how this device appears in Windows 10 (N number of USB hubs, 4 ports each) and thats exactly how it looks. Great quality product, but ports beyond 8 YMMV. Review: I struggled for a long time with USB device management on my laptop + USB MIDI gear (controllers, IK Uno, Streichfett), and inconsistent device allocation which would make MIDI mapping via devices in Ableton Live! (10 at the time) a chore. However, a newer laptop (XPS 2019 model) and this hub (purchased in 2020) solved 99% of my problems. The remaining gotchya is this: If you prioritize your gear to be on the LOWER # of ports (1-8 works for me), youll seem to get consistent performance (never any hiccups, latency, or disconnects of gear in the middle of your music session). If you plug anything into the higher ports, you may encounter the same things I do: Gear will randomly stop working and only work once youve fully disconnected and reconnected the USB cable at the hub (not the device!) - it may work awhile longer, but then have the same issue later. This problem is WORSE if you run the hub off of something like a usb c PD hub/dock. Directly connect it to an available 3.0+ port. So while 10+ ports is nice, you shouldnt put any flash drives, hard drives, or gear that needs to be constantly connected for hours at a time (MIDI gear/instruments etc).. which doesnt leave a lot of options for ports 9-16 on my unit. I still use it because its the best option for me, but I think Im going to try using two 8 port USB hubs, 1 connected to each of the available USB ports on my XPS laptop. I hope that resolves 100% of my connectivity issues, but Im skeptical.

> 3 dayOverall this is a great item, there’s a few pros and cons though Pros: Lots of plugs if you choose to use this just as a charger Seem less and easy connectivity to computer USB inputs Easy on and off button for each port. Cons: With my laptop only have 2 USB ports and I have many USB midi devices for music production I though this would be my ability to not have be swapping plugs but was disappointed. USB 1 has limited connectivity seem like I can only have 5-6 of the 10 ports in use. USB 2.1 has a 8 mort limit. Which may need to be listed in the description.

Greater than one weekI have only used 7 of the ports so far, but it seems to work just fine. It even charges my iPod Touch while its connected, which other hubs did not!

> 3 dayThe little blue LEDS next to each button have started to burn out after 6 months. Not a big deal, but its nice to be able to see which switches are on.

> 3 dayIve had the unit for a little over two months now. After the first day of use, one of the LED lights turned off forever, but I always figured that to happen eventually (but not that soon!) So far though, its good. As with any hub, most USB devices work, but occasionally theres one that doesnt. Best thing I like so far is the control the buttons give. Thats been real good. Ill update again early next year. No idea how long this powered device will work due to it being powered, but its always cool to the touch, and not once has there been an issue with data transfers which is the most important thing.

> 3 dayI bought this hub because of the ability to shut off individual ports. This way I can keep my keyboard plugged in but not powered when Im not using it so my cat cant use it either. I am not using all the ports thank goodness or only 90 watts of power would not be enough to poperly handle the extra load

> 3 dayI replaced a seven port set-up with this. Even with two dead ports, I still have extras. I wouldnt recommend this particular hub, but its serving me for now. Ill take my time shopping for a better hub down the road. Im not requesting a return, for replacement. Ill use it while it lasts. So much tech comes from China now, so no quality control, and no ethics. I understand. I have many Chinese products that didnt function right or didnt work for long. They have been recycled, as will this one when the time comes.
