We bought two of these for our garage. We have had them for quite some time now and have had no problems. We have 2 mountain bikes that hang above my car and show no sing of falling- which I was initially terrified of. We mounted them into the studs on the ceiling and using 2 people made it much easier. They are easy to pull up/down and I imagine a child could do it if the rope was tied far enough down.

Works great. You may have to play with the hook positioning (on the bike) and the distance between the pulleys. I installed 3 with different distances for all of them.

this product definitly freed up space in our garage. Luckily I read previous reviews and went out and bought better screws which was an additonal $20 for good ones. We also mounted these on 2x4s which I think helped alot as our garage ceiling it so high and my husband is not to good with heights. I think it is also a plus to get an extra set of hands to help. The rope did fray as previous reviewers stated but all in all the bikes are up and staying. If you have a really nice car you may worry about these being suspended over head but knock on wood so far so good.

I bought two. They were so easy to install. The cord is just fine. For the price you cant beat them. A must buy if you have storage problems.

This is a great idea at the price for storing items on the garage ceiling. I bought it to store my bycycle, but used it to lift an extension ladder to the ceiling for storage, so now I will have to buy another one for the bicycle

Very easy to install and mount on the ceiling. Has really opened out the garage for more storage and open space. The rope could be much better but for average use it works just fine.

I bought two of these bike racks to hang bikes from the high ceiling of my garage. The racks serve their intended purpose and allow me to park my car underneath. In that regard I am pleased with the product. That being said, here are some observations on my installation and use of the racks. Hanging the racks on the ceiling of my garage was not simple. A carpenter who happened to be at my house doing other work had to help hang them. I was disappointed by the ropes that came with the racks. Out of the box the ropes exhibited signs of fraying. With just a few lifts of my bikes I can see that I will soon need to replace the ropes with something more durable. I found that it is pretty easy for the rope to slip through the pulley system. Therefore I recommend that the user tie a stopper knot on the rope so that it cannot accidentally slip through. Finally, I found that the supplied hooks would not safely hook on to the seat of one of my bikes. Therefore I had to devise a more secure method of hanging the bike.

Great product. Quick and easy way to get bikes out of the way. Easy to install and simple enough that the kids can raise and lower the bikes when they want to ride.

Product is just as described in literature. Only problem is that bike must hung over a clear floor area, not over a table or work bench, bike must be lowered vertically only, not over to the side or else the locking mechanism doesnt work as designed.

Very good product for the low price. Not that easy to install on a garage ceiling (working upside down:)

The RacorPro PHL-1R takes only minutes to install.
Easy-to-Install Pulley System Frees up Floor Space
The PBH-1R uses a pulley system that makes it easy to raise and lower bikes weighing up to 50 pounds. The system can be installed on ceilings as high as 14 feet, and the unique rope locking system ensures that the rope stays locked in place when not in use. Storing your bike off the floor not only protects your bike from damage, but it frees up valuable floor space, helping to keep your space tidy and better organized.

Installing the Racor PBH-1R is a breeze, and you can have it completed within a matter of minutes. The only tools necessary for installation are a Phillips head screwdriver, a drill with a 1/8" bit, a tape measure, and a stud finder (for ceilings with drywall). The easy-to-follow instructions will have your Ceiling-Mounted Bike Lift ready to go in just five easy steps.

Solid-Steel Construction for Durability
The PBH-1R is built to last. All of its included hardware is constructed from solid steel for maximum durability and toughness. The locking mechanism, pulleys, rope cleat, and lift mechanism offer smooth performance for years to come. The included 48-foot lift rope is also extremely durable, and it provides plenty of excess length for ceilings up to 14-feet high.

Easy Raising and Lowering with Minimal Effort
The PBH-1R makes it a breeze to raise and lower your bike from its ceiling-mounted position. The pulley system handles the brunt of the force, so it requires very little effort on your part. Simply hook the bike handlebar and seat to the included hooks and pull the lift rope to raise the bike to its ceiling-mounted storage position. With each pull, the locking mechanism locks into place to eliminate accidental drops. Store the excess rope on the included rope cleat to keep it nice and tidy.

The RacorPro PBH-1R Ceiling-Mount Bike Lift measures 10.24 x 5.12 x 3.5 inches (packaged) and weighs just 3.64 pounds (packaged). All included components feature a black finish.

What"s in the Box
Two lift assemblies, two hook pulleys (one with locking mechanism), 48-foot rope, one rope cleat, 10 two-inch wood screws.
