Greater than one weekInstallation was very easy in my garage, which has an upward-sloping ceiling that is finished in unpainted Sheetrock. I was able to follow the tape and nail lines on the Sheetrock to locate the rafters above, and it took me less than minutes to install each unit (I have three installed so far). It would have been much harder if I hadnt known where the rafters were, and I dont think I would trust wallboard anchors to hold my bikes above my Lexus. The mechanism works smoothly and seems like it will hold up. Time will tell about that.

> 3 dayI have 2 of these units in my garage with high ceilings, I can drive my car under the bikes once there up, and they do work but the problem is that the rope gets a kink in it and it wont release the bikes. So I have to get a tall ladder and undo the problem. That sucks, Also the rope falls off of the pulleys and gets jammed between the bracket and the wheel. If I didnt have these problems, Then I would rate it higher. Sorry to mad to type more.

18-04-2025I bought two. They were so easy to install. The cord is just fine. For the price you cant beat them. A must buy if you have storage problems.

15-04-2025This thing is great. It seems that the rope is better quality than what people complained about before. Installation is super easy (its literally only 6 screws, just need to find the studs). Installed two of these in one hour. The design is simple and just works. Not much to break here.

> 3 dayIt is seldom one can find a product that exceeds its advertised benefits but this os one of those products. The locking pulley in this system sets it into the realm of a highly useful product. I have used one of the systems to raise my wifes bicycle off the garage floor and out or the way. Assembling the pulleys on a 1x4 board and then mounting on the ceiling is the way to go. The instruction were too sketchy on how to thread the rope through the locking pulley mechanism but some trial and error work solves that problem. I have used the second pulley system to pull my bird feeder up out of the reach of a local bear that thinks the grain in my feeders is very much to his liking. The locking pulley is again the magic element that makes this product so versitile. The low price on this item makes it even more attractive and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone that needs a hoist to get a fairly light item into the air.

> 3 dayKind of cheap but it works. Im using it to hang my cargo carrier above my garage door. The lock for the rope is kind of a pain but I can live with it since Im only going to be using it maybe a handful of times a year.

Greater than one weekThis has given me the ability to park my car in the garage again! I now have 5 bikes hanging from the celing. My seven year old daughter can get her own bike up and down without any help.

> 3 dayI was a bit leery to buy these based on some of the previous negative reviews re screw size and rope quality, but I went ahead and ordered three, knowing Amazon would take them back if I were unhappy. Im glad I did! This is a quality, well made product. The manufacturer must have listened to customer feedback, because the screws are HUGE and the rope feels very strong and secure. I cant believe I got these for about ten bucks each! Installation was really easy. Im on the low end of the handy scale (give me much more than a drill/driver and Ill screw it up) and I had the first one installed in 30 minutes. The third one only took 15 minutes to install. The hoists are totally secure and Ive reclaimed a lot of precious garage floor space. Yay!
