Was looking for a device to hold the bike and store it conspicuously until I found this. Now my landlord will be happy saving his garage space for his stuff.

Ive had the hooks up for 6 months now and we really like them. They were easy to install on the garage rafters. It only took a few minutes to put all 3 up. Using them for the bikes is extremely easy as well. They are a great way to make room for a car in the garage.

Installed 2 in our garage to get some of our fleet of bikes out of the way. A little tricky to install and use, but once you get the hang of it it works fine. We are pleased with it, glad we found this device, and will order one more for yet one more bike that is in the way.

These bike mounts are fully functional and if you read some of the tips in the other reviews you’ll avoid any potential headaches. I found installation straight forward and it took me about 20-30 minutes each to install two, after I found a rafter stud to fasten them in too. Note on installation, after you tie off the rope on the first end you’ll need to carefully place it into the bracket channel so that it does not get “pinched” when you screw it into the ceiling. It’s not difficult, just don’t pinch your finger while doing it! I’ve got two more to put up, but I don’t expect any issues.

You dont need to be strong to hoist your bike to my 14 garage ceiling. It makes life easy.

The brake system seems to be a defective design, cutting the rope twice. The company replaced the rope quickly the first time (great service), but I am afraid to use the lift now because a bike could fall on someones head.

It is definitely a space saver. Simple installation and works well, even on my 12-foot ceiling. I encountered two drawbacks which could have been better. I bought two hoists and both cords had frayed spots which indicates to me some manufacturing defect. The other issue I had was the quality of the screw heads...they were too soft. When screwing them into the joist gets tough, the plus sign slot on the philips screw head would get damaged. Two got damages bad enough that I had to unscrew and throw them out. Thankfully the package came with 2 extra screws.

My only complaint is that the instructions are very small print and assume you are hanging it along a ceiling joist and the ceiling is unfinished. My best spot was perpendicular to the ceiling joists so I attached it to a 6 foot 1x3 and used 3 lag screws to attach it to the ceiling. My ceiling was 12 foot high but there was enough rope to go 14 foot or more.

I purchased four. Good value. Installed to suspend over front hood of car in garage. Cheaper than parts at hardware store. Recommend to make your own template to install.
