SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

This is one of the fastest and reliable SATA III SSDs you can get. I have gotten two of these over the years. The OS boots lightning fast and so do all applications. I highly recommend this SSD, especially with the prices going a bit down on these.

Worked great! Really love the INCLUDED drive cloning software. It worked perfectly the first time! Which is unheard of with computers!

The software it comes with makes it a breeze to swap hard drives. I replaced my sisters laptop hard drive (5400 rpm 500gb) with this one and its like night and day. The boot times and loading times are much faster. Only thing extra youll need is a SATA III to usb converter in order to facilitate the data migration.

Does not work with Windows 10. Tried it on two laptops and one desktop, and none detect the Samsung 850 EVO 500GB as a Disk Drive. Samsungss own migration software cant find the Samsung 850 EVO to do the clone of the C Drive. Disappointing !! Checked to make sure the AHCI driver was present in Windows, and set in the BIOS of all PCs. PCs are Dell, 6 months old, 3 years, and 5 years.all running Windows 10 without any issues except this. No cigar!! Addition: Now I find the following in another review: There are 75 million Win 10 users, and Samsung wont have a fix until late September. Outrageous! However, at this time, the Magician and Data Migration Software are not. Samsung should have software updates in late September.

noticeably improved performance over the OEM mechanical drive

Wow! Got this for my daughters laptop. Was a bit of a struggle copying the original drive to the Samsung, but eventually got it all copied. My daughter booted up her laptop and was up and running in about 15 seconds. It used to take around 3 minutes. It was so fast she thought something was wrong. This was much less expensive than buying a new laptop and really sped up her computer. Bought a second one for my other daughter.

Samsung extremely well known for their SSDs for being both reliable and extremely fast. The 850 EVO is no exception! From its read/right spreads to the materials its made from, you really cant go wrong picking one of these up for your computer rig! 10/10

I installed this in my Asus ROG laptop and its so freaking fast! It used to take a couple minutes to start up. Now it takes like 30 seconds! Plus my programs run faster...Im lovin this thing!
